+Christopher McElroy It is not possible to play in the Chromecast and Google Homes at the same time. The sounds bar would need to have Cast support or a Chromecast Audio.

It will only continue where you left off. Go to the Netflix app on the iPhone and press the cast button to play Netflix on the Chromecast.

No it is not, the audio can only play out of the HDMI device it is plugged into.

Yes you can just set a room and it will control different smart products from different Services.

if it is an official Google Chromecast yes it will work but it is losing support on some things so getting a new one would work best.

No you can not. The monitor would need to have an audio output to other speakers.

yeah i use the broadlink and a bridge app with my echo in the bedroom it is much cheaper than the Harmony Hub , i have an RM pro in the bedroom, it also does RF as well as IR , i am going to add an RM mini in the living room since i already have RF with the pro but it is a pain in the ass to get working with GH , it's easier to make work with alexa , the only other problem is that even alexa gets confused when you have similar device names even if you have the dots and devices groups , you omit the room name like instead of bedroom light you can just say lights ,if the devices are grouped, but even if you group everything properly , if you have 2 devices named TV , it will still ask you which device you want , so you still have to have the added syntax and name each device by room and say living room TV and bedroom TV at least harmony skill got rid of their annoying syntax with alexa , " alexa, ask harmony to" it was too much syntax which is another reason why i went with broadlink over Harmony ,but at least now that has been solved

actually i found a free way to control the TV with the GH if you have wifi enabled smart TV i have a 2014 bravia and it works great you need an always on android device running the anymote app then you can link the anymote app to IFTTT and it will control the app on the phone to control any wifi devices , it also works with my Yamaha AVR you just need to set up your devices in the anymote app it even has macros and the app also can control HUE and fire tv stick so you can just create one macro in there and then use IFTTT to trigger it all from GH/ GA trigger i already had this set up with alexa but it uses the anymote alexa skill , this is much better because i can just say what i want instead of "alexa tell anymote to ......" i could use the IFTTT with alexa instead of the skill but then i have to say "alexa trigger" it more natural to use IFTTT with the GH because you do not need to say "trigger" it all works with the unpaid version of the anymote app and the IFTTT linking was really easy , though it looked a little confusing and intimidating , you just need an always on android device like an android TV box , you could probably sideload it to a fire stick too since it does not need to be paid , i use an old android phone i hotwired to run without a battery because if you use a phone with a batter it will eventually explode or catch fire , mine puffed up like marshmallow ,i would just use a fire TV stick but i need to run another bridge app for broadlink that is a paid app and it is too much hassle to get google play services on the fire tv stick
