Need a good groundcover? Look at these 5 wonderful midwest and eastern natives. And if you live in the west, do not worry several similar species exist for you.
I've just found your channel while learning about native plants. I will be changing my lawn to garden little by little. Thank you for a lovely, informative video. I hope that you are being well cared for and are able to enjoy your beautiful garden as long as possible. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for such wonderful content - I can't wait to watch all your videos!
I don't think I have commented on the channel before. But I also enjoy natives and pollinators and have found your videos very helpful. I also incidentally live in NJ. The first video I ever watched was about the purple milkweed. It is a very cool video and it inspired me to purchase some seeds a year or two ago. I have watched videos since and learned a lot from them. Now that I am finally about to be a homeowner, I have been watching your videos for inspiration as there are a lot of non natives on the property that need replacing, including ground cover (English ivy) and once again am getting ideas from your videos. And I can finally plant those milkweed seeds. When my child is older and if enjoys gardening, I will teach her what I have learned from your videos and the benefits of going native and pollinators.
Very pretty plant! Also the wood anemone leaves remind me of my bleeding hearts, as well as it's growth habit. I'd like to pull up my aggressive pachysandra growing along and under my deck - would that be a good replacement?
