Weirdly enough, not just clout ruined the Dodges, it’s the fact that people were stealing them so much or they were breaking the car itself.

The funny thing with the Challenger is that I just bought one. Granted it was used, but the dealer kept thinking we were going to finance and do payments when we just were going to buy the car completely. That sent them for a loop.

Now that you’ve done both JDM and American cars, I think it’s time to finish the mini-series out with the 5 Euro Cars RUINED by Clout!

I had seen a 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for sale for not even $10K at one of the most expensive dealerships in my area. 6 speed manual and everything. I'm sure the low price was due to clout boys and the local terrain that is more fit for trucks and 4x4s like the Bronco.

I'll be real, the viper being on this is a bit surprising. I only thought the prices of the car went up due to rarity and the fact it was discontinued.

I’m in a small community here prolly but the price of cars with the supercharged 3800s (Grand Prix. Monte Carlo. Impala SS) has jumped insanely high. Rusty body. 200k miles. 5-7 grand because “he knows what he has”

Speaking of that ' buy a Corvette that is stronger and cheaper than the Camaro ' I saw a carwow video of an Drag race between all the Nissan GT-R generations, and when Mat was with the price of them, I saw that the R34 is at the same price as the 2018 R35 Nismo, a car that is more comfortable and more powerful than that 20+ years old car, and it was stock, and the result was the R35 won that easily

RU-vid is the only platform that hasn't ruined car culture. I notice a recurring theme that individuals think their vehicles are worth exorbitant prices, just because "That's what I paid when new."

It seems like clout has ruined the chance for kids to get into cars. When I was in 6th grade, I always wanted a 4th gen Mustang because at the time, they were very cheap & fun to drive. Now I'm 18 & the prices have gone up so much that I'll likely never be able to afford one.

As a Mopar enthusiast myself, it’s sad to see that clout culture has ruined the 15-23’ Challengers and Chargers. That’s one reason why I bought a 08’ Challenger SRT-8 because I don’t want to be associated with people who participate in takeovers. (I know not all of them do, but a good amount do.) Plus, I like the older body style anyways.

Glad to see the mention of the Mustangs. And the thing is, I still think the SVT Cobra is still the most expensive one out there to this day. I only say this because the SVT Cobra is still my favorite Mustang design wise.

One has stripes and the other one doesn’t. But the one without stripes value went up 2x only because only 100 people decided to opted out and not get the stripes!

As a previous G8 GT owner, the VF has aside from when they were being firesold, basically just held their value to sticker. They're finally starting to depreciate but they were being sold for MRSP for the longest time even to second or third buyers.

Don't forget the part how often Hellcats are stolen. I feel that also played a part in their depreciation

Bladed 3 valve s197s are finally dropping in price again. They’re sitting around 8-9k again for clean 5 speeds with about 100-120k miles

The best thing about bladed is that he just doesn’t care anymore and just rants and gets more and more passionate throughout the video about how all his dreams were crushed

I bought my Mustang in April 2021. I may not have realized it at the time, but this was probably the last chance I was going to get to buy the car I wanted (in the right color, the right spec, right gen, etc.); because me and my dad were watching the used prices slowing getting higher by the day. In fact, I was originally looking at ecoboosts, but then had to start looking at V6s because the ecoboosts got out of my price range (I was looking at S550 mustangs). I would have bought a GT if I could, but they also were way out of my price range by the time I had enough money to buy a car and even if I was able to buy a GT, I wouldn't have been able to afford the insurance rates I would have gotten for the car (I was a young male driver driving a red muscle car). Thankfully, I found a mustang that wasn't too expensive and it is the one I now own. Sure, it may be a V6, and I know I am going to get some flak for that, but right now, I am happy with the car I have and 300 horsepower is more than enough for me right now; and in my opinion, I 'd rather have my current car that I saved up for and bought myself than any crossover/SUV my parents would have gotten me. Fast forward to present day and I still have that mustang and it's the best daily driver I could have ever asked for. I hope to eventually get a GT at some point in the future, but even when I do, I hope to hold on to the mustang I have now, even after it gets replaced by my next daily driver, because the ultimate dream for me would be to pass my first car down to any son I may have because when I eventually have a family of my own, the world's roads will likely be vastly different compared to what they look like today, and in a world where every car you see on the road is an EV, any traditional car is going to stand out, and I hope any son I may have will want to keep the culture alive.

I managed to get my 07 S197 Gt for $8,300 with 129,000 miles during the worst of used car prices in 2022.

When you mentioned back in 2017 when you bought the mustang gt for $26K, that reminded me when back in 2018, I purchased a 3-year-old Ford Fusion Titanium AWD for only $15k that had low miles. Then back in February of 2015 I got into a semi-truck accident and it totaled the car out. My insurance LITERALLY gave me EXACTLY HOW MUCH I PAID for the car back in 2018 as the payout. I was excited for a moment before I realized that 15K gets you a 10-year-old car with at least 150K instead of a 3-year-old car straight off a lease. I ended up instead getting an 02 Bonneville for $7500 cash that had low miles and was owned by an elderly man. So far it turned out to be a good decision for me. And the car is paid off and it's really fun to drive. I do feel like I definitely overspent on it, but I rather pay more for a car I KNOW I WILL LOVE than for some generic car I might hate.

I love my foxbody and have a 3v too. Ive always wanted a new edge but after seeing the prices basically being the same as a 3v os ridiculous. Not to mention, the new edges you do find are almost always clapped out. I will say the one car Im scared of clout boys finding is the C4 corvettes.

In 10 years, it will be a completely different market. Back in 1991, I bought a 66 Mustang for 600 dollars, basically like brand new. They were everywhere! They made so many of them that 30 years later, you could buy them still dirt cheap. But now is a completely different game. They are hard to find and are very expensive.

another reason for the clout is the fact that the dodge vipers were cancelled after the 5th generation, so yeah the 1st and 2nd gen are already classic collector cars and the 3rd-5th gen will be in the same category in 5-15 years

As an Australian. I can confirm that the Holden Commodore. Especially the HSV variants are worth upwards of 6 figures now. However, there are still some VE Commodores with the 6.0L V8 and a 6 speed Manual for less than AUD $20,000. Love the vids Bladed.

I think the thing with the Charger and Challenger is that they're the big loud muscle cars you can spot in a crowd of other contemporary cars. Unfortunately, it tickles the monke brain just right for people who ball on a budget and cannot plan more than a few days in advance. I just saw on Facebook marketplace a 2018 dodge charger STR with only 34,785 for only 22,500 no damage I couldn’t believe it I was like damn I got to buy it but an hour later it was sold.

The issue with the charger buyers....is not the buyers themselves. its those car dealerships that offer zero down/bad credit/no credit/no job offers to consumers who are not exactly fiscally sound. Pair that up with the first street legal "drag sedan" and an exhaust note that brings tears to the grizzliest of men's eyes and people who have no business even co signing for a $500 loan will show up to drive off the lot

Man, you just made me remember the previous owner of my subaru impreza, he paid 20k in 2009, drove it about 10 000 miles and then passed. His nephew then sold the car to me for a steal of 5500 euro in 2021 and the car was rust free, I now feel sorry for the grandpa having to pay so much back then just to sell it at a 75% discount.

I bought my 2000 Mustang GT after Labor Day in 2015 from a dealership for $4500. I could sell it for nearly $20,000 last I checked prices. I'm still gonna keep it though, even though no one but me likes the style or performance

Thank god my 84 c4 corvette is still hated enough that clout hasnt ruined it. It has just about everything I want in an American sports car, a pushrod v8, classic throaty exhaust note and excellent handling. It just severely lacks power

What im surprised at is how 2nd gen camaros and firebirds are so overlooked from 1974-1981 especially 79-81 not the most pretty or firebreathers stock but you can swap the front nose over easily which is now getting expensive, and put an array of engines in, you can get an all around decent car for about 7 or 8k some have a lot of work done already, not a bad bargain for a classic i got my 79 for 2k in 2013 as a roller, when i was 16, Ive had 2 parts cars and found a garage full of OG parts from GM un used still in the boxes, sold some i didnt need and made money

As someone who recently bought a 5.0, I don't believe the "value" of these cars went up, I think it was just the used car market bubble along with insane government created inflation. The mustang being the best selling "American sportscar" meant a supply and demand issue and then the dollar being worth like what 30% less than what it was in 2019. For what I got mine for last year I think it would be slightly cheaper now, but the interest also has continued to skyrocket on used cars so they're doing what they cant to sell them and make money.

The clout prices on Mustangs have kept me from getting back into them! I bought my first Mustang back in 2016 for 11k. It was a 2008 GT with 100k miles, now I can't find one under 15k and they got even more miles on them😤 😤

I’m the second owner of a Hellcat Charger. In my local area, there is a red hellcat charger that is on its 6th owner lol. I think what hits a lot of people is the reality of ownership. They have pickup truck like gas mileage and have pretty high maintenance costs. I do all of my own maintenance. If you don’t, get ready to shell out 💵

The Challenger/Charger is actually more expensive now because you need to buy kill switches, wheel locks, hood locks, etc.

I ordered my Scat Pack Widebody Challenger in the summer of 2022, picked it up from the dealer in early October the same year. It’s my daily driver, even in the winters here in NY. I’ve always been in love with mopars since I was a kid when I watched the Dukes of Hazard movie for the first time. I absolutely love it for how to performs, sounds, and looks. I also picked up a triple black 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner in June this year. I have a lot of plans for it and really want to turn it into a nice hot rod/pro-touring car.

Whats sad is the people who will let what other people think about cars sway their decision on what car they "want" its no different then not liking certain things when you were in school because its not popular.... I bought a hellcat this year and i dont regret it one bit been saving up for one and its what ive wanted since i got out of school in 2016.

I've been out of the loop for new cars so much that I was honestly expecting this video to be about classic muscle cars like classic Mopars, Chevelles, and GTOs that have been wayyyyy inflated over what they should be. Imho, if you want a cool lookin' 'merican muscle car, just buy something like a foxbody mustang or 3rd gen camaro cause they're dirt cheap (less than $10,000 for a decent one) and can easily be made pretty fast for under $6000.
