I've got x2 of the USB lights and run them off a power-bank fitted to the underside of a bivvy table. Use hardly any power and are bright enough for cooking and rig-tying. Well worth the money.
USB light for their table they don't have any batteries for.... had mine 3 months trying to get a battery. Emailed ND 3 times ignored my emails get FKd ND tackle.
Hehe nah. We live in a world that is overflooded with money and wealth. This is an expression of that. We dont know what to do with it so we buy expensive cars and house and shit for our hobbies. Traditional white world kapitalism
The magnets look really good and you can tell they are strong. I have a Snap Mount Pro for my GoPro and they are made with the most powerful N-52 rare earth magnets which are 10 X stronger than traditional ceramic magnets. I also love the bivvy light and that alarm thread screw plate is brilliant because as you say the rubber O Ring Gromit’s either degrade or still leave the alarm slightly loose and at a weird angle.
Been using the magnet adapters for about a year. They sit solid and ain’t going nowhere!! You have to pull directly upwards with quite some force to release em. My only complaint is they don’t sit 100% snug, so the alarm rocks very very slightly L-R and hence doesn’t sit truely vertical either. Not a big deal but spoils the optic a bit. Not good for tackle tarts 😉
Suddenly there are new essentials I didnt know I even needed. ND are innovating for sure, clever stuff or what. I love the shrink tube heater. You cant use a flame near a hooklink material and they even make hooks brittle. I try turning a lighter upside down to heat the metal cap on it, use that....but its not clever and potentially dangerous too. With that ceramic heater problem solved. Plus so much easier knocking up rigs at home without boiling a kettle!!
had the magnetic butt grips from ND. Not even good enough to warrant giving them a test run on a session. Binned them. Buy cheap...buy twice. From my experience, ND is noddy tackle.
The ND butt grips are absolute crap. Nearly lost a rod when catfishing with them. Gave mine away and bought proper grips from Nash. And the similar quick-release magnets, although even stronger, I don't want them sat under my Delks for a long time thanks, or even in the same storage box. ND's little cup things to keep the cork rod butt ends clean are a reasonable idea though. Hardly essential, but I like the idea. The rest of this stuff is overpriced junk though. Doesn't mean it won't sell!
I've used the butt grips for years and find them a brilliant bit of kit. Yes there's a bit of a knack to them when lifting them off your stick and if on a pod, you need it held down or you risk lifting the whole pod up when you lift a rod. I've since got the magnetic front bits for my alarms as I have the N1s (which already have the magnets) as well as a set of s9s so it's mega quick to swap them over. Love the ND gear but the website is absolutely shocking to navigate.
Bit harsh, but nowadays I'm inclined to agree. I used to place Chinesium unbranded crap at the bottom of the table, with NGT just above it. Nowadays NGT have moved up 1 position with ND in second from last place. Half the quality of NGT but twice the price.
☝🧐With the USB light you definitely need a power bank that has a "low power mode", otherwise every other power bank will switch off after a few minutes!!!
