Chase, not sure if you still receive replies with regards to these videos, but I cant thank you enough. Your videos are so helpful. I have probably reviewed them all 5 times, but find myself going back to them when I need a boost. Thanks again.

Thanks for your awesome videos. How can you block/defend opponent shots on front 3 bar?

Great tip about finding a way to block wall passes without giving it back! I recently stopped making that mistake as much by doing exactly what you said, moved my man back a few degrees more when I'm blocking wall. Don't push that bushing while your there. It won't get any closer and any unnecessary pressure forward will cause friction with that bushing and rod friction is bad when you want your man to be a magnet. Set the position and pretend the handle is a baby bird. Maybe a little relaxed swinging or fluttering when away from the wall but even then don't push down on the rod. Not even the weight of your hand. Pressure downward increases rod tension and that's bad. Being relaxed is key. That helps me anyway. Great post.

Hey C, thx 4 the tutorial vids. U really hv peaked my interest in FB, it's more than some bar game tht drunk frat boy dorks play. I am a FULL ON NUBE, but ur tutorials hv a real professional theory bout them. Your vid bout patients & waiting 4 the opportunity is what I call quiet TAO. Quality instead of quantity of practice is a truth beyond words finding patients as of ur most powerful allie is ASTONISHING, really. May I give just one critique, could you somehow employ slo-mo in some of your vids to show movement & control-shot techniques. Your regular speed is too fast for your eye angle to catch for a newbie like myself, otherwise ur vids are TOP-SHELF bro, thx again for sparking my interest again in this really interesting game. 😎👌

what are your thoughts on using two hands on the handle for 5 bar defense?
@ChasePennell
@ChasePennell 7 лет назад
ippon really bad idea. You cannot use your other hand to catch a blocked pass.

can you add more strategic tips of 5-bar D, especially for brush and stick pass and mix of brush, tic-tac, etc.
@ChasePennell
@ChasePennell 7 лет назад
Zhang Lei the hard part of 5bar d is finding a tell. You need to find a tell that people have to get a good read on their passing.
@air23zsl
@air23zsl 7 лет назад
That is a good point. The way I find it is 1. look at the 5-bar when the player play against others 2. talk with people who are good at defend particular person or pass. 3. try by myself. which means using some skills to test and find the tell. Anything else?

What if the guy tryingto hit from the 5 bar to the goal, it can be a angle shot or a just direct hit from the middleman, how to avoid that, some time they do bank shots from the 5 bars as well
@ChasePennell
@ChasePennell 4 года назад
They do, but not near as often. I would suggest blocking one or the other. Most people do not intentionally shoot banks from the 5 man. Usually those are just mistakes and low percentage.

I would not call myself a head game expert. I can teach the physical. The mental is a whole other beast. But once i have gone through the physical videos i will touch more on mental. But i have a couple videos that help with that in my On the Road series.
