Beaches Mentioned;
Porthminster Beach;
POSTCODE; TR26 2EB
We find the easiest place to park will be the train station area car park, short walk down to the beach.
Seasonal dog ban from 15th May to 30 September between 10am-6pm annually.
Disabled buggies can be hired.
Chapel Porth Beach;
POSTCODE; TR5 0NS
Accessibility; Car park is fairly level with lovely views over the beach, Accessible toilet, designated parking and access to cafe available. However decline onto the beach is very rocky, uneven with moving debris as stood on. Not ideal for anyone wobbly on their feet, prams or wheelchairs. Our toddler climbed down relatively fine with a hand here and there.
Cafe, Toilets and Car Park.
Parking; National Trust owned car park, pay per hour.
Dog Friendly; Dog Ban from 1st July- 31st August 10am-6pm. Otherwise dog friendly.
Stunning quiet beach if you are looking for a hidden gem, this may be it. Not that busy generally especially in the winter/off peak season. Due to the access of the rocky entry ways it makes it less accessible for some. In low tide, it’s a pretty large cove with views up to Wheal Coates.
PLACE; Gyllyngvase Beach
POSTCODE; TR11 4PA
Accessibility; Public toilets including disabled toilets. Flat level access to the beach and walk around the outside of the beach. There is also a sand wheelchair available to hire from Gyllyngvase Beach Cafe. There a few eateries, take away and sit in restaurant on the beach edge and Falmouth town is a short walk.
Parking; There is a council owned car park to the side of the beach, or you can park in the residential streets in Falmouth for free and walk over (we parked on Cliff Road which was only a few minutes level walk)
Dog Friendly; Dog Ban from 15th May to 30th September between 10am and 6pm. Otherwise dogs are welcome.
Stunning sandy beach. Can get busy in tourist season due to its location and ease of access for all. A great place to visit for swimming, surfing and water-sports.
Marazion Beach
Post Code; TR17 0EG
Accessibility; Easy level access from Car park to Beach. Ramp down onto the beach near the western car park.
Dog Friendly; NO Dogs from Easter to October.
Parking; Large Car park (pay by hour) just outside the beach
Facilities; Lifeguard from July-September, Loos open daily in high months, weekends only in winter.
Admission; FREE
Fowey/Ready Money Cove;
POSTCODE; PL23 1JD
Accessibility; Level ground, disability friendly, lots of shops/eateries, easy slip road access onto the small cove beach.
Parking; Council Car Park. Seasonal payment required, free in winter and off peak times. We tend to park in Ready Money Car Park as the walk down from there is pleasant, however there are also more central car parks in Fowey (these however do cost a lot more!)
Dog Friendly; Seasonal Dog Ban From Easter to September 30th. Off peak/winter dog allowed.
Stunning harbour town with loads of shops, museums, cafe’s. Gorgeous views of the river far and estuary.
