Big plus for Boston 12 is that it is the only one that comes in wide. At least in Europe. Just got mine recently and with my 2E wide feet (wide forefoot, wide-ish midfoot) it is just perfect. With my feet I don't observe any of of the review complains about too much material in the upper or lacing issues. I also red somewhere the upper on wide is stretchier/softer than on the regular, but I did not have the regular in my hands so can't confirm. Really happy with mine.
Recently got the Pro 3, Takumi Sen 9, Boston 12 and received the Adios 8 today. What a lineup. They are great. Adidas foam composition is just extraordinary and can be sumed up as "fun foam". Like it much better than Nike. Pro 3 is a beast. Comfortable, energetic, and snappy. Adios 8 just places the energy on ground to push forward. 💪💥
Random sales they had 30% last week for me and I got them closer to 110 $ ! Definitely love that about adidas random sales make their line of shoes more affordable. Adios pro 3 I have found on sale twice at ridiculous good deals .
Wasn’t the Prime X Strung the top shoe the leaders/winners wore during the 2023 Boston Marathon? This is from looking at the broadcast, I can’t tell for sure since they all look similar.
@@runnin3216The prime x is not legal if you're a professional runner or to win the pro division at any major marathon. If you're Robbie or Thomas, or the average Joe you're allowed to wear few prime x at any marathon.if you're an amateur runner.
The Prime X strung 2 sounds like Homer Simpson designed it but in a good way. Like when he designed a car with all the cup holders. Love my Adidas 👌🏻Pro 3s. Anyway 😁
Prime X Strung 2 said to be released in September. That shoe is going to be a game changer. Super stack responsive Lightstrike Pro and a double carbon plate. CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I have the Prime X Strung (by far my favorite running shoe), Adios Pro 3, Takumi Sen 8, and recently got the Boston 12. I love them all although the upper on the AP3 takes some fiddling with the lacing to get it feel comfortable with a good lockdown. Of all the running shoes I've tried and still have (Nike, Puma, ASICS, Saucony, New Balance, and Hoka), Adidas shoes just fit fit my feet the best and I also like the feel and ride from Lightstrike Pro more than other midsole foams from other brands. For me, it has the perfect balance between firm and soft and has more of a forward-directed springboard type of propulsion effect than other foams that often feel more like trampoline bouncing me upwards. Will get the Adios 8 as soon as some more attractive colorway (to my eyes) becomes available. Tried the Boston 11 and Adios 7 and they were okay but firmer than I would have liked. I'll definitely get the Prime X Strung 2 as soon as it becomes available.
You can't run slow in Takumi, Robbe. I'm with Thomas on this one. Also funny how you guys pretended their biggest release of the year, the SL, doesn't even exist. 😂 I think we all try to ignore that shoe.
Please review the UA Velociti Flow 3. It hasn't been marketed heavy but I really like what they did for a non plated shoe. Doug smiley impacts starting to show
Got both the SL and Takumi Sen 9. Slow and steady with the SL, pretty firm at first but once you break em in they turn out good. The Takumis however, ohh boy. Once you put em on you know you mean business. A delight to wear during quality speed sesh especially on tracks and even in uphills. Their grip is awesome. Broke my PBs from the 5,10 and Half Marathon in them. Mine's already on 340-ish miles and its still feels great.
Boston is 37mm in the heel (Lightstrike Pro and Lightstrike 2.0) while the TS9 is 33 pure LSP. Honestly the Takumi is softer but also thinner... I'm 83kg (200ish lbs) so taking it beyond 10k starts to hurt. Definitely not half marathon. Of you're lighter and efficient do the TS9 but most people will probably do well with the Boston 12.
Love the ride of the Boston, but the lacing is just odd. I don't really ever like lace loops, and these ones are especially bizarre with the weird "gusset" and floppy tongue. If they threw classic eyelets and a true gusset they'd have a 10/10 shoe imo.
Choosing the top 5 from a lineup of essentially 6 shoes in the current adizero line is a terrible discussion idea. This comes off like a running warehouse video where it’s clearly an advertisement disguised as a review
