The best intros in the game by far. They should have mentioned shazam in the story itself. They could have mentioned him to superman to tell him how far he'd gone
I think the death that affected me the most was the death of captain marvel aka billy bastion because he’s one of my all time favorite characters in the dc universe and to see him die was really depressing
I think I know why Shazam wasn't a child in that scene. The injustice universe changed a bunch of different things, for example, Damian Wayne being a lot older. The same could have happened with Billy.
Red Hood it’s been 6 years so he should be like 19 or something close to that so this theory has some coverage only problem I have is that he is wearing his magic cloak
toomuchtime to be fair, Batman hasn't married the love of his life and wasn't tricked into killing her and his unborn child... Perhaps the Joker will break the Bat in a similar way.... You know, assuming the marriage to Selena sticks long enough for Bruce to murder her.
Matthew Swisher Apart from beating his surrogate son to bear death and blowing him up, then crippling one of his only friends' daughter who also happened to be one of his students.
k0bra 3eak The Joker did those things... He didn't trick Batman into doing them... My point was, that if the Joker ever manages to get Batman to commit the vicious, unforgivable act(and to the right person), the Bat may be broken as well. The right person is also key... Supes doesn't murder Joker if he kills random civilian #17 instead of Lois.
Matthew Swisher you don’t get it the jokers philosophy is to make anyone like him by making them look into the abyss in other words what will you do and who will you be when your entire world comes down around you the killing joke was the joker abyss yet the joker can’t do it to Batman
toomuchtime The killing joke wasn't a test for Batman, though. It was a test for Gordon. The Joker hasn't broken Batman yet because he hasn't actually tried to do so, not because he can't.
If you read the comics shazam death was horrible, multiple times superman was beaten, neutralized or about to be weakened and shazam saved him. He killed it without hesitation
@Uncle Lucifer Zed well I found the lunatic who thinks superman is right in this world And superman IS to blame, superman can't fully "save" the world new threats will rise and arrive to destroy or take over the earth. What if furtures end happened or blackest night OR CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS!? supermans "vision" can not protect the earth from those events that will one day happen in the injustice world, superman is nothing more then a villain He killed a CHILD! a child who saved him Multpie times, and as soon as Billy disagreed he gets killed and guess what? He dosnet regret it. Why? Because He lost his mind and wonder b wants to have his child since that's all she cares about You can take your "injustice superman did nothing wrong" and shove it
Shazam is usually immune to Supe's heat vision so I was surprised that this was not the case in this game. This showed Shazam's wisdom and unintentional sacrifice that showed Superman's downfall.
kirby march Barcena the guy in the video said that it wouldnt melt hks brain maybe billy is still alive just on the down low maybe returning to the mext injustice game
I wish Shazam just punched superman in the face and beat him up with the help of like green lantern and the Flash I'm pretty sure they would have helped
The dumbest death was Dr.Fate by far, we are talking about a fellow who can stand his ground ( for a little) against the Spektre something that even Superman is unable to do and gmhe dies like that??????
Remember he asked superman to crush his helmet which is the source of his power so when brainiac attacked and killed him, Dr Fate was just regular human kent nelson.
Shazam wasn't saying his name so he could transform he was saying it because not only does he transform when he says it but it also causes a big explosion which will take out any enemy that is around him so if he would've had enough time to say it superman would pretty much be on the ground and Shazam would end up being a kid again
Shazams death in my mind is injustice is in the future as when looking at damian hes in his twenties so its possible that shazam as a mid year teenager has aged to an early 20 year old just a possiblity
Billy Batson doesn't age when he's Shazam, and in the comic series he'd only changed a few times in the five years between Superman killing Joker and Injustice 1, meaning he's still 12-13 years old.
Also cause like, Superman is just wrong in general in killing anyone who commmits any crime. You fricken, go 16 miles per hour In a 15 mile per hour zone: your dead
@@yangmf49 wonder woman is supposed to be this badass independent female, but then she gets dickwhipped and does anything superman says at the drop of a hat
@@bakedrabbits why do extremist Wonder Women have a thing to open their thighs for asshole dictators? First the commie tyrant in Red Son, a short tempered, cheating Aquaman in Flashpoint and now this.
For Shazam, I believe that Shazam was trying to break Superman’s grip on him. As for how he died, Superman no longer holds back his power and probably laxer beamed Shazam with full power
Batman can fight Superman because of the "Green pills" and Shazam may have started to transform back into Billy which is why he wasn't invincible when Superman lazered him
Superman has tanked omega beams before and just like in any comic tjere power levels very and I’d believe a enraged superman could lazer through Shazam’s eyes
If you notice, when Shazam changes form, he's struck by a gigantic magic lightning bolt. By changing back to Billy Batson, he was calling down that bolt to hit Supes with a whammy.
5:30 the reason he shouted Shazam is that when he transforms a lightning bolt comes down and is usually super powerful, it's seen in a few comics and animated movies I believe
When I saw Shazams death scene it gave me mix emotions anger , sadness, confusion, and then that's when I realized for a fighting game the story mode was FUCKING AWESOME.
@@TevyaSmolka Alternate earths. Play the story mode of the first game. The earth where the reigme are in charge is a different one to the regular, "normal" dcu. The reigme earth's Batman had to bring over Hal, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Arrow and his own counterpart (and unintentionally brought over Joker in the process). Later the Cyborg and Superman of that earth come over too. It's also explained that the Green Arrow in Injustice 2 is from an alternate earth possibly the same from the first game. Basically the multiverse is the excuse to have characters that died be able to come back. They don't have to explain or show how they did they just show up.
@@41Brother2 yeah that's true and you're right about that and i am hoping we do get to see Shazam! Captain marvel and the rest of the marvel family do get to comeback for injustice 3 :)
@@Blue-vs6fj no he can’t, lmao, the whole point of flash is to bet the fastest man alive, that would defeat the purpose of his character, plus just look it up lol
I want a 100% confirm death and alive of heros and villains. Because the comics and the games stories have superman and his regime killing heros who defied him. In the first game batman is the only hero in the insurgency until he recruited the duplicates and Barry switched sides. Then in injustice 2 team Batman has Barry Hal Dina returning Ollie from another dimension Harly and Bluebeetle and Firestorm who become heros after superman is put in jail. I'm guessing they become heros right before Brainiac invades which is why Bruce says they're green. This shows a possibility of dc characters not getting they're origin stories until after Clark is defeated so there might be more heros than we think but at the end of the game, the members of team batman including supergirl are the only heros the world has left. And the events of the injustice 2 game and comics contradict each other as well as the first injustice as explained in the video. I'm still collecting the first injustice graphic novels after year 2 and I only saw a peek of the injustice 2 books so I might say something wrong. Vixen plasticman and batgirl are alive and in action in the injustice 2 comics so where were they in the game when brainiac invaded? In the game Kara and Aden save Diana from Themiscera then bust the res of team superman out of jail and Damien becomes nightwing in the process but in the comic Damien becomes nightwing first then he joins Aden and Kara to save Diana. Basically I want to know who is alive in the games and comics and if the comics and games are 2 separate universes.
Ennis Smith To answer the last question, The Contradictions are due to Netherrealm and the Comic-Writers not being on the same page with their canon, especially with Netherrealm. Some say they're separate canons but the game and dialogue suggest otherwise, even though there's lots of contradictions in-game, such as, Damian killing Zasz during Year 1 and not later on, and Scarecrow being alive. Ultimately, it may be better to make them separate.
_ Bxrs7879 _ Well, the rock that Nightwing landed on was pointed _i believe_ while Batman landed on somewhat smooth rocks, but not hard since supes isn‘t focused on Bruce, just killing Joker was his goal.
The reason superman could kill Shazam so easily was because he was in his billy batson form( which I am aware Normally is a 15 year old boy) but in the comics, he does appear as a teenager. But the thing is, the comics span about five years of in universe time. So when the game starts billy batson would be in his early twenties. Hence why he looks like an adult when superman kills him.
The problem you have with Damian killing Zsasz is that he kills him without due process? Can you explain what you meant it sounds like you don't believe people can actually kill with out a court, or that somehow due process was part of Superman's plan.
I'm not sure if this is what he means or not, but as I see it the biggest issue there is that in the end Damien isn't killing Zsasz because of his crimes, he's killing him because he wants to prove a point. It's like when Superman kills the Joker. I don't have a problem with someone killing the Joker, I have a problem with the most powerful person in the world killing someone *because he wants to* . That's the line Superman crosses that I feel is, if not unforgivable, certainly unconscionable. Damien did not apply any form of due process, he just wanted to show Daddy how grown-up he is. Just listen to the way he talks about Zsasz's crimes, Damien doesn't care what he did, he only cares that he's making his point. It was all about Damien, not justice or even vengeance.
You should have replaced the Gorilla Grod for Green Arrow's dead because it marks as the first time he killed in front of loved ones *especially family*
Am I the only one who wishes when DLC is bought in the injustice games the dlc characters get worked into the story too? Like seeing lobo in the story mode would be awesome
I think shazam was trying to pull a black Adam. He was probably saying that to hit superman with the big lightning bolt. He could have shocked him, but that was a little too risky compared to a giant lightning bolt
They were initially, but Harley was the one that fed and cared for them the most, so they are pretty much hers now. Especially in the Injustice comics.
My interpretation has always been that Shazam tried to return to his mortal form in the hope Superman wouldn't attack him if he looked his real age, but because Superman was going full-tilt villain by that point he deliberately prevented it so that he could kill a man, not have to think about whether to kill a boy. As for his ability to kill him at all in his super form, I personally chalk that up to Superman going all out - breaking through Shazam's durability by sheer brute force - and Shazam failing to put up a fight because he was caught off-guard, panicking, and perhaps also holding out some vain hope that there was enough of his hero and role model still in there that he wouldn't go through with it.
One thing I've always disliked about DC is the way they deal with lethal force. It's always Never Kill or turn into a murderous tyrant - no room for rational thought. There are situations where lethal force is justified, though that list should be much smaller for a superhero.
The thing about rational thought is that it's easy to have when you're watching something happen on a screen or in the pages of a comic book, but much harder when you're facing the man who just used you to murder your wife, unborn child, and city. The heroes who fear lethal force the most are, by and large, the ones who would have the easiest time using it, which is why they fear it. It's too quick, too effective, can too easily become the only answer to a situation, even if it is justified. What good heroes understand, and Injustice Superman has forgotten, is that lethal force is a tool, not an answer, and any tool can be done without.
That may be true, but isn't the reason that people are getting fed up with DC's fetish over their heroes not killing. The problem is, that every hero (especially Superman) are being turned effectively into accomplices. To these mass-murdering villains. Whom are never truly stopped. Always escaping and coming back for more. Murdering and murdering over and over. If the heroes had actually just killed them, hundreds, thousands (maybe millions) of lives would have been saved. No one is arguing every villain needs to die. But ones like the Joker and Dark Seid, no question. They are mass murdering psychopaths who need to be taken care of. Permanently. Instead, the heroes are being made fools of. Because they are so blinded by their own morals. Not even realizing that dealing with murderers, by executing them, is a just sentence (and has been for thousands of years of Human history). DC needs a reality check. Oh and fun fact. Batman has killed before - as well as carrying a gun before. Earlier incarnations of him have done both. DC/fans are making a mockery out of him, through pure hypocrisy. Reinvention or not. At least Superman has remained basically the same character from day one, till now. With only minor tweaks here and there.
I guess but Batman's the only one that takes it to that extreme. Superman actually once killed 3 Kryptonians. Green Arrow is the perfect example of a no-kill hero who will kill when its the only option though, and has on occasion killed out of anger. To me, and maybe I'm biased because he's my favorite character, he strikes the ideal balance.
Shazam was either trying strike Superman with his lightning, or if the word always means he changes maybe he was banking on the fact that Superman wouldn't kill a kid
Seaneas he was trying to hurt Superman. He shouldn’t have disrespected his elders. Shouldn’t have been posing as an adult if he didn’t want to die like an adult
I'm not even a DC buff and I know that Shazam was trying to summon a bolt to hit superman, not change form. He does the same to Black Adam in the opening cinematic. As far as his vulnerability to superman's heat vision, it's a hardcore lobotomy, melting his brain through his eyes. Shazam is tough, but he has weaknesses
Shazam could have wanted to revert to human form to remind him for what they fight but Superman thought Shazam wanted to harm him hence freezing and killing
5:10 I want to know how someone doesn't know that Shazam is really a 10-year-old. It's like not knowing Bruce Wayne is Batman. It's a staple of the character that pretty much anyone who knows the character knows.
It says that in the first Injustice game, Green Arrow was killed by the evil Superman. So we would know that G.A was gone in the second dimension. However, in Injustice 2, G.A is still alive and the whole story takes place in the second dimension. Can someone explain how it all connects or have I missed an important detail?
So basically the green arrow in the second game is a green arrow from another universe who lost his black canary. Dr. Fate took black canary and brought her to him.
Shazam mite have bin trying to turn back into a child so superman wouldent kill him because superman would never kill/hurt a child like said in the srcond injustice
If I'm gonna add any character death to the list, it's got to be Dick Grayson. Damian Wayne accidentally killing him was the point in the comics that drove him and Bruce apart and I feel it was done better than in the game, with Bruce showing anger and resentment to Damian and Damian feeling remorse over it, as he considered Dick to be a brother. Another tragic element? Dick later came back as Deadman in Year 3 after the death of Boston Brand and he encouraged Bruce to make amends with Damian and forgave Robin for what happened, going so far as to pass the Nightwing mantle off to him to help him step out of Batman's shadow. The Injustice 2 comics even show that Bruce is still trying to honor Dick's last request in trying to reconcile with Damian, difficult as it is for him. If that's not a story of tragedy, I don't know what is.
