Greetings from Edinburgh! I was going to bin buying a gimbal (specifically this gimbal) but your review completely changed my mind. Stellar review, subscribed and keep up the great work! :)
I'm getting my AK2000 brand new for a little over half the price from Hong Kong (import duties paid in the price) delivered today (UK). So while I am waiting been watching videos on the AK2000. I found your video and the advice within the best video out there! Happy to say already with the MFT camera system and looking forward to the freedom this setup will give me! Thankyou Barry once again Subscribed!
One of my favorite features is how in auto rotation you can actually set multiple different points by just moving then stopping the camera for about 1 second for each point between step 1 and step 2 on the gimbal.
I think the best features is the controllable and touch screen!!!And the price really good with the great gimbal. Thanks for your review!I would like to buy one.
Thank you. Your the only video I could find with a Nikon I’ve heard they released an update that allows the gimbal to work with WiFi on most of the new Nikon cameras with WiFi and they say the focus even works on the D500 and maybe others have you tried it since the update?
Hi Barry! I want to buy this Ak2000 for my Nikon D750. I see on 5:22 that you too use D750, but it don't supported in FeiyuTech application many functions (Control iso, aperture and etc). What do you say about it? What operations supported in the application?
I just bought one as well, and trying to master it. I am overall happy with it, but am slightly disaponted that I can't connect it to my Lumix FZ2000 to control the camera.
Travel, Ride and Fly it’s a great gimbal to be honest though not rally a bad gimbal on the market these days, I actually don’t use any of the camera function ever doesn’t really bother me thought it would but it doesn’t.
stef Rossi thanks for watching, I use the AF function that way I can level it better in flash position which allows for a nice smooth roll. Hope that helps.
Hey Barry, Great review! I just received my Ak2000 today and I am super excited! I will be using my Sony a6000 with a Sony e mount to a mount adapter and a sigma 10-20. I attempted to balance it today and it worked pretty well. I seem to be having an issue where the gimbal does not keep the camera level to the ground. ( it rotates with the gimbal) Can’t seem to figure it out. Any tips?
MrCbike hey man that’s awesome! I always finish balancing it holding it waist level horizontal to the ground with the lcd facing up and adjust the pivot arm so the camera won’t fall either way, hope that helps and enjoy man!
Hi Barry quick question what is the best sensitivity settings for this gimbal. I found the best setting for the gimbal is default but not sure what level to set my sensitivity for best results not sure if I should hi or low sensitivity or be about halfway.
Liked and subscribed! Great video. Quick one, pan axis is being a nightmare for me. Cant level it up for some reason. Only slides along as far as 4 on the gauge and it goes up to 5 where I think I need to be? Any help much appreciated!
Hey man thanks! Yes that axis was the one that took me a good while to get level first time around it was literally micro adjustments to get it balanced but I first had to make sure the tilt was correctly balanced first for it to balance well, hope that helps.
@@BarryMountford great! I'm going to have another go this evening. It's a nightmare! I'm pretty sure all else is level? I'll strip it down and start from the beginning. Haha thanks for the reply! Appreciated :)
Hey, I do believe this is new to the ak2000/4000 not 100% as I have never used the a2000 but there are comparison videos out to check out, hope that helps.
Hey man the gimbal doesn’t support the d750 so you are unable to connect it, to be honest it’s no big deal as the camera controls from the gimbal are limited anyways.
Manic KM it does take up to 2.8kg payload no mention of minimum weight, I did read somewhere someone mention at least 200g but I haven’t anything that small to try. One thing I would do if I needed to use something that small would be to add a little extra weight to the camera when mounting it to the gimbal.
Stefano Intintoli Photo Video ah ok I believe it’s for the focus although I never use it, even controlling the camera from the gimbal is a little limited in function so I tend not to use that either.
Yesterday I bought AK2000. It can handle the weight of Canon 600d but I can't use their parameters. Because Canon 600d don't have WiFi. 😅. Overall it is good product
Yes if it’s not balanced correctly, I found if the bracket supporting the lenses isn’t firmly against the lens it will bounce, also having it on the correct weight setting stops this to, not had any problems what so ever since realising that. Hope this helps.
Barry I have a question that I'm wondering if you could help me with. I was looking to get another camera mount plate for my AK2000 so I could easily switch between two different cameras on the gimbal. Didn't find one on Amazon nor FeiyuTech's website. I got an email reply from their support staff and they will sell me one for $10 usd plus $14 in shipping. $24 seems high for just a plate. Also it would take close to a month to arrive (I assume it's coming from China). There has to be a better solution! Any ideas?
Never tried it but I do believe the follow focus should work on most cameras as it attaches to the lens and is controlled from the magic wheel on the gimbal. I didn’t purchase the follow focus as I don’t use them. Hope that helps
Barry Mountford if it only works with the cameras in the menu, how did you get your Nikon D750 connected to the Gimbal? I only see Canon, Sony and Panasonic in the FEIYU ON app.
If the Gimbal does not support Nikon WiFi, why do you consider FEIYU WiFi to be one of the best Features, especially when you are using a Nikon product?
Barry Le Blanc that’s because I use it with my canon camera on the gimbal and the canon camera was filming the video so I attached the Nikon for the purpose of the video. Nikon’s WiFi has always been terrible but the canon camera connects flawlessly best I have used to date.
Barry Mountford But what about that Nikon Z6 you bought? Does it work with the AK2000? FEIYU says that there are only the D500 and D7500 that are compatible. In the AK2000 that are returned, the FEIYU On application did not have a Nikon related software to ensure communication between the gimbal and the camera. And I did not see a Nikon type cable in the box that would help make the connection. So how do Nikon cameras communicate with the Gimbal?
Barry Le Blanc I haven’t actually tried connecting the WiFi with the z6, something I should try out and maybe make an update video, but if I am honest I have used the camera function only a hand full of times as I am so used to adjusting everything on camera touch screens on both the canon and Nikon.
Spencer Humphrey thanks for watching, the settings I used for this was to simply put the gimbal in AF ( all follow mode). Use the magic wheel to point the camera straight up and then use the joystick to rotate, hope that helps thanks.
Yes that is a ok feature but for me it needs updated so you can have your phone face you so it can track you say when your working in something as at the moment the gimbal gets confused with the orientation of the smart phone and just dosnt work
