While some martial arts schools may practice ineffective or impractical techniques, it's important to remember that self-defense is a personal responsibility and requires a combination of physical techniques, mental preparedness, and situational awareness.

Most wrestlers will hand fight to create an opening for a drag, Russian arm, shrug, etc, or feint to the head before a double. The really quick ones will just change level and shoot like Burroughs Or an ankle pick like Sanderson.

There was a sad case some years ago, here in Las Vegas where I live. A business owner sick & tired of vandals graffiting his property, caught up with the teens. There were several of them, while fighting the hoodlums the owner near 60 years old passed away from a heart attack. In those days security cameras were not as abundant as they are today. The case remains unsolved.

A great move to learn to counter a single or double leg takedown .. would be a simple front headlock going over the head like a guillotine and around one of the arms. Then knee to the head and face until the victim is unconscious, which won’t take long. Only a seasoned grappler can escape. A simple front choke would work as well.

I always go for one of 2 moves, either guillotine or sprawl with an elbow plant right in the spine and hammer fist in the neck then as im standing back up a kick to the face like kicking a field goal and he's done. Ive done it several times working in some of the roughest nightclubs in Spartanburg, I always try to talk to them with respect 90% of the time they walk and come back the following weekend the other 10% always wants to fight not knowing that I have trained in several different styles of Martial Arts even wrestled in school but that's ok they learn the hard way then a couple of weeks go by and they show back up apologizing no more problems out of them.

But that's okay if you want to be like that because I have plenty of witnesses to how I handle things.

9:18 or so... If you've gotten to the "spin down" part THATS the hard part. If he's face down your ALREADY in a fully dominant position.. THAT WAS the hard part. You DONT want to look bad an get legally charged. If you HAVE to neutralize them why not just slip a choke hold or a hard shot to the back the head??? If it didn't work you either didn't hit them hard enough an/or in right spot. An if they struggle once you sink the choke of choice in. Which should be easy that way. They'll black out even quicker. Possibly seconds. Would try to limit severe injury an extreme cases hurting severely or ending them UNLESS they've left no other choice an created required conditions.
@ubahfly5409
@ubahfly5409 11 месяцев назад
I know what you're sayin but when there's multiple attackers there's simply no time to take the back, sink in a choke & wait for the guy to Zzz. & You can't punch the back of the head & risk having to fend off the others w/ a broken hand. Smashing their face or skull into the ground is probably quickest most efficient. IDK if mauling is the best strategy. But the legality of resorting to extreme brutality when outnumbered will depends on the nature of the threat & the degree of force being attempted upon you.

Surprised these guys are only thinking one on one attacks, whenever I have been in an altercation, which isn’t often because I tend to mind my own business unless I come across someone needing help, 80% of the time it’s a little gang wanting trouble, rarely one on one, so you can never get tied up one on one or you bet blind sided by his buddies. I have had several guys come In the school late after class and attack me so don’t give me that shit that martial arts doesn’t work, nothing like a good side kick for that guy coming up behind you with a sucker punch while the gang leader is facing off talking shit to distract you…. Use whatever works , develop a variety of skills , striking, grappling, and never let them just walk up and grab you, if one is idiot enough to dive at you with a tackle, JUST MOVE, FOOLISH TO STAND THERE AND ALLOW HIM TO GET IN ON YOU

Do a double leg takedown at speed and see if you can pull off any of that.... #3 is nice, I have used variations of it. #2 Good until you get to the face tearing, unless it's life or death, dont do it. It will be looked on very unfavorably. Instead, a good soild punch or elbow a little below where the shoulder meets the neck should be enough. #1 no, absolutely not.

There should be a disclaimer at the beginning letting untrained people know this is not something they will most likely be able to do. These moves take months, if not years, of training to be able to react fast enough to someone attempting a double-leg takedown. Another point, two of these guys have long hair (#3 and #5), and this is a big disadvantage on the street. Someone can easily grab that hair and you will not be able to get away from it. Even Mr. Hatmaker kept brushing his hair out of his face during a demonstration, how would this fare in the street?

The video from security is available, keep in mind these are pro athletes, the victim was left unrecognizable & fighting for his life. It is hard to watch, Kamara got himself an all star legal team & walked away with community service & a few dollars in compensation. Kamara should be in prison all captured in security cameras. He will be back on the field earning millions this coming season while his victim has a lifetime of psychological recovery. The one thing I made sure to teach my son is life is not fair.
