I grew up in Ojai. My high school performed plays at Libby Bowl and every year Libby Park hosted an annual tennis tournament. Spent endless days riding my bike and walking everywhere. Best oranges from Ojai fresh off the tree.

You need to visit San Clemente, coined, The Spanish Village by The Sea. Wonderful restaurants on the main street, Del Mar which runs down to our beautiful Pier with The Fisherman's Restaurant on it. You'll love it! Half way between Los Angeles and San Diego. Melaney from SoCal.

It's been years since I've been in Ojai. There used to be a bike path I used to ride that would take you from one end of town to the other. I think it was around 10 miles round-trip.

One end of town to the other takes less than a half a mile. The bike path you’re referring to goes all the way out to the coast which is a 17 mile stretch. Round-trip that would be 34 miles. But here’s a pro tip about Ojai - - it’s a tiny town that has no desire for all this crap tourism. Stop driving into it. Do you want Nature? Then moved to a small town. I’m just coming in undated with cars from a fucking city like Los Angeles. We all hate you guys pouring in here every goddamn day. The only people who like you are the scum who are trying to profit off of our name and the bs worthless hipsturd junk they peddle. Stay away. We all hate you. We live in small towns because we hate your vibes and unconscious ways. Stay in your filthy rat race cities. Bye -Ojai.

Driven by twice. Meant to stop by but just didn't seem fun enough. However, it looks safe enough for families with little kids to walk around and go to Libby Park.

Your vlog, brought back pleasant memories of my stay at Ojai Valley Inn. It is a relaxing and beautiful environment. The spa is fabulous. It's been more than ten years since I've been there, but it looks the same. The downtown area is very quaint. Thanks for sharing.

Surprised you would go to Ojai and not visit the hot springs. There is a non-nude area where you could have taken some photo or video. I personally have never seen any other reason to visit Ojai if one doesn't have family of friends there. OTOH, I never made any of the tourist trap stops and was unaware of them. Tangerines looked great.

Ojai, My Orwellian Shangri la: I was new to Ojai some thirty years ago. We rented in the East End and discovered our landlord's daughter, pregnant and married to a local doctor, was coming into our home and snooping through our belongings while we were at work. They are all "curious" about "outsiders." We were from Honolulu. We bought a home in town. For many mornings in a row a woman would stop at the house across the street and blast her horn. I had guests so I asked her not to do that, as she was disturbing my guests at six in the morning. The woman drew back and told me her son was a deputy sheriff her and that she'd "honk my horn any damn time I want to." I countered that I make a complaint to which she said, "If you want some real trouble, you just call the cops!" For the next twenty-seven years we were stopped constantly by police, ticketed for random violations, had our phones tapped and recordings of our own in-home conversations recorded and played on our phone message center, tires spiked at home and at work every other month, had small squares of paper slid down the front window of my car so that there was many hundreds of dollars done to my cooling/heating system, got messages from the woman's son, saying "how about some action baby," had people we'd never met follow us and honk in front of our home, leave messages stuffed in our windows at home and had messages lift on our work site phones. We complained to Human Resources in Ventura County and the Chief to no avail, failed at an attempt to get a restraining order which cost us about thirty thousand dollars. My husband and I divorced over this and other issues. I had to stay as my job was here. An officer stopped me and a friend at the top of a Fairview Rd. hill, forcing us up onto an embankment. He was in uniform, but without a name tag or badge and told us he was lost and his geo-locater was broken and did we know where "Run Away Street was?" He kept asking how we could not know about "Run Away." He started to giggle and drove off. I'm certain he was the son of the woman who threatened us. This terror lasted twenty-seven years. Ojai was like walking onto the set of the movie "Deliverance." I never encountered such backward, vicious, small town, ignorant and clannish people. Finally, the newly elected Sheriff Fryhoff sent two wonderful deputies to my home who listened to me carefully as I described the officer who had stopped my friend and me. For the next two weeks there was a dramatic uptick of honking and phone messages. Then, finally, nothing. Nothing. Chief Fryhoff is dedicated to "Protecting and Serving, not Seeking and Destroying." He put an end to these little boys with their terror and their toys. There were officers who were obviously not tainted by this corruption and the absolute breaking of my Fourth Amendment rights and there were officers who were in league with the corrupt and criminal officer. Why didn't I leave? I moved four times. They always found me and got my phone number. Who has such powers? You know who! And, my Southern grandpa and Southern great grandpas who fought in the Civil War for the Union said, "Now, honey, don't let nobody run you off from nothin'." So, I stood my ground, though weaponless! The reign of terror was done.

Its just the way it goes. Case in point, San Luis Obispo is now a bustling tourist town, always crowded on weekends. Ojai looks like its headed in that direction. We were just there last weekend visiting from Thousand Oaks. It was the last day of their musical festival at the bowl. Got to listen to some beautiful opera music while relaxing on the benches at the community park.

Stfuclown Everybody in Ohio hates the bullshit clown parade that comes through it from LA and every other shit suburbia because of these crappy tourist promotions. This entire video showed zero worth coming to this town for. Has nothing to do with having money that we who live here hate your fucking billions of wanna be escapists clogging up a tiny town that doesn’t even have a public restroom for you jerks. Everybody in Ohio except for the scum that came out of LA and Brand themselves with the names of our mountains here hate the self absorbed clueless piles of shit who drive into ojai every fukng day.
