I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
@@emward6858Ive been using android forever and had the flip 3 for more than a year however the battery is dead, not even 5h and the flip 4 has same issue and most importantly durability issues. Im thinking about getting the iphone 13 mini.
I upgraded from iphone 8 64gb to a iphone 13 mini 512gb. I say i made the right upgrade instead on going to the iphone 14 pro. The mini is smaller than my older ip 8 but huge in screen. Battery life is good for my usage i do get around 10hrs on screen time. For work, some photos, for my business i am glad i purchased it and will upgrade if there will be a mini in the future
I upgraded from an iPhone XR to a iPhone 14 with the same 256 gbs storage and honestly I feel like I have the same phone just newer model and I rlly like these added features the new model has to offer.
My personal needs are enough storage for 4 years= 256gb= 64gb a year, a big screen when I watch videos on Netflix and finally the biggest battery so I don't have to worry about it (then I will put in an extra 100$ on a case and screenprotector)!
I feel like 11 and 13 are models with much better reviews. 12 has a battery that isn't as great and it also tends to have screen problems. 13 gets excellent reviews. 14 has a slightly worse battery situation but where it excels is that it has crash detection and satellite SOS. If you want those though, you might want to wait for the 15 or 16. BUT if money is the bigger issue, going with the 14 might work out because they added those features like Satellite SOS without going up on the price of the 13 and so few people bought the 14 that there are likely to be bigger discounts on it. But you need to know that 13 has better battery life and that is the tradeoff and in the end it is tradeoffs that we deal with. If you are going up from a very old model, you won't even care that 13 PM gets better battery life than 14 PM - because BOTH would have hours more battery life than what you have.
Just bought a refurbed 11 Pro Max in ‘Excellent’ condition from Backmarket. Got the RAM and screen size I need at a fraction of the latest greatest 14 Pro Max price. And still running the very latest iOS. I like to get the largest screen size I can for web browsing and Kindle. Better than having a smaller phone and a separate tablet device.
I usually get what fit my budget when it comes to my iPhone Apple products are expensive anyway so if you can afford something on the higher end go for it I have the SE3 it’s within my budget all what your saying is good advice but if you go over your budget trying to get a good iPhone then you put yourself in a bad spot
im upgrading from the 12pro to the 15 pro max. i feel getting the pro adds longevity to the phone in terms of performance. I did regret not going for the 12 pro mainly for battery life so ill all in this round. i was actually gonna hold out for the 16 but my 12 has some damage (my fault) that requires an upgrade
I think this advice (picking the wrong model [at the time of initially shopping]) applies to both groups (both iOS and Android) because I see this with Samsungs too, any one star review complaining about the battery life in the entry flagship model (S23/S22). People in either camp need to learn how to read spec sheets more thoroughly before making up their mind, so they don't end up writing a scathing review due to their own misjudgement of the specs. (note: it applies to a majority of phone brands in the Android camp, yes even Motorola) I always wonder when I see those complaining reviews "what in the world were they doing that wasted so much battery?" or "were they keeping it plugged into a Quick Charging battery pack or the charging brick when at home?", again I don't think it matters what team you're on when it comes to this particular complaint, since it's about the battery life. It kind of seems like many people buy phones based off of their names and cost rather than what's included in the spec sheet then after they receive it they misuse it (in the case of leaving it charging at all times).
I agree with the color. I was planning to buy the blue iPhone 12 mini but I saw that the paint chips around the lens so I chose the white one. Colored phones are also hard to match with any case.
I agree about the Pro thing. I see Pro iPhones everywhere and I cannot imagine what makes most people think $200 more is worth it for ?? 2x optical zoom and macro photos? I can't imagine why people would do it except for they wanna feel like they bough the Most Expensive phone.
I feel like a lot of people buy it for looks, and mainly for the dynamic island. Also promotion is very nice and people who have never experienced 120hz probably won’t take promotion much into consideration
It's not "Don't Buy" rather *Who can Buy ?!* 😂 Apple may be much cheaper in the U.S compared to all other countries but truth is at the price it is around the world, we get top premium android phones that not only have more features but also security boasted by the iPhone. Of course in terms of longevity (lifespan) and battery, it still may hold a higher position but that's about it.
Although I've had a mobile since analogue days, I got my first iPhone today. A big shock was that I could not put in a micro SD card in to boost my storage.
If I decide to go with iPhone after being a lifelong android user Samsung galaxy s22+ is my current device my mother has the iPhone 14 plus and i like the device battery life is one of my favorite things I've heard about the iPhone 14 plus hopefully ill be able to come to making the right choice
I have an new XR 2018 with 128 GBs and have no problems. I do want 5G, better graphic quality, more RAM and better chip, and I will wait for SE4 to be released next March. At $599, I can wait for that although with 92 percent battery health, I can afford to wait a couple of years more.
I was drooling over the iPhone 13 pro max but walked out with a s22 galaxy and got a great deal I love my s22 galaxy except for one flaw and that is how the power button is too close to the volume button...that is a bad design to me. Everytime I go to turn up the volume I turn off my phone or if I screen shot I sometimes turn off my phone. But I would of had to pay 400 more for the iPhone 13 pro max and I wasn't willing to pay that much for something I didn't have to have and to be honest I am glad I didn't because the s22 is sometimes too heavy in my hand so the pro max would of been even harder on my hands as much as I use my phone. I always thought bigger was better but not now.
I’m a chronic Samsung user. Galaxy Note/Ultra fan. The only iPhone that could ever appeal to me is the Pro Max model. Bought my first iPhone in 2020. The iPhone 11 Pro Max. I’ll upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max next year.
real, i bought the iphone 11 64gb version and only used it for about 5 months. i sold it and now waiting for another one that has bigger and better camera.
the biggest mistake people make when they get the wrong iphone is they didnt really get the one they wanted. yes they want a good iphone but they should think about that before they buy one. everyone thinks they know what they want but then they change their minds so thats one of the biggest mistakes. you should never change your mind even if you want to. in my experience you should buy the phone you want and NOT the one you think you want! simple!
why can't apple just have the option for external memory card? it will definitely save a lot of money unless you really want apple to take advantage of your money.
I bought an iPhone 11 for just $80. Sold it for $400 and got an iPhone 14 Pro for just $1535. The transition from 820p 60 Hz LCD to QHD 120 Hz LTPO OLED was worth it
I have my iPhone 11 and it does not last me through the day, I have to charge it at like 2pm, my day starts at 7:35 Pm. Any iPhone out there that can last me all day without being a pro max or pro phone?
This video was very informative thank you! I’ve had my iPhone XR for about 4-5 years. I’ve never been the type to want the new iPhone as soon as it’s out but my battery life is poor and it’s time for an upgrade. I’m gonna get a iPhone 13 Pro. It’s literally perfect for me. I don’t want the 14 Pro it’s practically the same as the 13 Pro and it’s ugly 😂
I don’t see any improvements for the last 5 years in Apples products so I will not buy another one. iPhone is so expensive in my country so just a small improvement doesn’t worth it
I have never paid more that £399 for a phone and cannot see why anyone would pay more than £500. My substantial tech budget goes on Intel PCs, PC laptops and this year I will be buying a steam deck. Have you ever tried to edit a spreadsheet on a phone? Using touch to edit a spreadsheet is almost impossible. The thing that is most annoying about Apple is the way that they deny that Moore's law is still in operation andso put up prices. The Prices of PC SSDs halve every 18 months which proves that Moore's law is alive and well. Like Apple, Google make both the software and the hardware of Pixel phones and so Pixels are a good choice. The Pixel 7 range cost half of the price of the equivalent iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. The more powerful CPUs of iPhones have no real value because they are over-specced for use in phones. They are more appropriate for use in Macs.
As far as battery goes, pro max of any year is better. And 11 pro max bests 12 pro max. 13 pro max beats 11, 12, and 14 pro max. (There are battery tests and a 13 pro max even at 89% battery capacity bested the 14 pro max even though that was at 98% battery capacity and the 11 pro max bested 12 pro max similarly)
Let's face it ever since Steve passed Apple has struggled and isn't what it should be, they make the same sh$t over and over by doing a number, a pro and a ultra and just change a couple things like size, camera, brightness f, you cook😂😂😂😂😂
I got the twelve. I do not see my self switching to an android. I now see Apple as a Chinese phone, and do not desire to upgrade. Apple needs to do something great. Security, privacy, or build MORE OUTSIDE China
@@deathmaster6117 You should buy premium phones only if you can afford them easily. If you live in developing country and earn 500$ then mid range android should be your choice.
@@lukeskyvader3217 So following your logic it would be "Buy a phone that is worse(much more limited and less secure) than yours because you have money to spend?" And yes, I find Android phones more secure and less limited(when using custom ROM with root and without Google services). I could afford buying a Pro Max iPhone but it's locked-up nature(while having a way for Apple to easily brick it and/or access my files) is my major concern(I live in a country that is hated by USA so I do not have some services like Steam/PayPal/Visa/MasterCard/GooglePlayStore).
I got an samsung s10plus and i got it for 5 years and decided to get the iphone 14plus is it a good upgrade? This is my first time using an apple phone
I went from my iPhone SE 1st gen to an iPhone 13 Pro but used. It was a great upgrade especially considering that my SE's battery had to be replaced every 6 months.
I upgraded from SE (2016) to 13mini, and at first old SE seemed more comfortable, even had that old iphone soul. Now after a while that 13 mini was worth upgrading to, even if I use my phone only for messaging and occasional internet, my old one was just outdated.
Have an iPhone 8 that I don’t have enough space on at 256 gb. As I most likely will keep my next iPhone so long it’ll be worthless for resale or trade in as well and more valuable as a back up I think that justifies me going up to 512 or 1 TB for my next phone.
For me it was very hard to make a decision what model to take. Also because the phones look very alike. Also the price is quite high here. When I had my first iPhone which was the iPhone 12 pro I was very disappointed. Before that I had Samsung. I enjoyed the 12 mini more then the 12 pro meanly also because of the price. I liked the 14 more because of the camera but I liked the battery of the 13 more. Now I have the Samsung s23 ultra and I am happy xD
for now i have the iPhone 13 regular model 128gb and i am pretty happy i take a few fotos and i still in almost an year almost 95gb of fere space, dispite of this i have the iPad 9 gen with 256gb where i have the music offline in apple music
About the return policy on accessories... I don't know if it happens in the stores near you, but I've easily returned their Apple cases and headphones before.
My view on this: 1. Would never buy a used iPhone, too risky. But I’ve kept mine for 3-4 years. Here also refurbished iPhones are way too close new ones in price. 2. Made the mistake to recommend SE 2020 to a person. Big mistake. Lousy battery, mediocre camera, she ended up with my old XR and finds it superior. 3. The non-pro models are sufficient for many users who don’t need the advanced camera system. Lighter, good enough screen (I actually upgraded from XR to 14 Pro because I’m into photography and even use the 48 MP RAW, but otherwise..) 4. Screen quality is overrated. Of course there’s a difference compared with my XR LCD-screen at 60 hertz, but for me it wasn’t life changing.😊 Too much focus on 60 vs 120 Hertz.
I'm not quite sure if I should buy the regular 14, the 14 pro or wait for the 15... I'm really into photography, but compared to my iPhone 8 that I have now the camera of the regular 14 should already be a lot better. I'm not really sure if I want to pay €200,- more for just a better camera, while the phone itself will most likely not even fit in my pocket because of the size of the camera. Do you maybe have any advice?
@@hannahjans5742 Going from an iPhone 8 to the 14 Pro is already a HUGE jump. One thing I didn’t think I would actually enjoy, but ended up really enjoying, is the high refresh rate in the newer iPhones. It’s a buttery smooth feel and makes the older iPhones feel clunky. The camera system on the 14 Pro is phenomenal, if you can hold out until the 15 then do that. The iPhone won’t be ancient by any means when the 15 comes out, but you will get more updates on the 15 than the 14.
The size difference between 14 and 14 Pro isn’t that significant, weight is on the other hand. But if you’re into photography Pro model has so much more possibilities. If you wait to the 15 series (Pro, that is) there may be a significant improvement. We don’t know yet but larger zoom and more is expected.
I have the iPhone 14 pro max . I like the bigger design. I also like all the features it has to offer vs the plus. 128 GB is enough as I have the 1 TB iCloud storage.
I don’t have an iPhone but I do have an iPad and I’d love to see a video on the iPad along the same lines. One thing I hate about Apple (particularly the iPad) they don’t offer much in the way of capacity options . For the mini 6, you have the choice between 64GB and 256GB. The sweet spot would have been 128GB, I wonder why it wasn’t an option? Getting back to the phone, I’m not particular about the phone’s colour as I slap a a case on it to protect it from scratches and bumps if I drop it. One other thing I’ve noticed about iPhone users who don’t have the latest phone (or one with MagSafe) that they’re constantly looking for outlets to charge their phones. I’ve found it better to buy an aftermarket (from Amazon as example) power bank to charge the phone. Most of them are small enough you can carry them with you and as long as it’s charged, you can charge your device from wherever you are in stead of scrambling to find an outlet somewhere. In addition they’re safer too than usb ports some which have malware on them.
I am using iPad too , the iPad M1 11 inch, yesterday I went to a Samsung store and have a look of what they have, I came across the Galaxy Tab 8 pro I was blown away, with the same money that I pay for my M1 Pro 11 inch I can buy this Tab of 14 inch with OLED screen and can be use as a laptop replacement with it DEX function and five years security Knox support, I am not a digital aris or RU-vidr that love Apple products, Apple need to more aggressive on software than focus on hardware like it did now, the iPad M1 have powerful hardware but not much on the firmware as what Apple were known before
I had the XR from launch. Been using the 64GB model for 5years never ran into space issues. This year it just shut down and never turnt back on. I decided to go for the normal 13, I’m really happy with my decision. This being 128GB I don’t see my upgrading for another 5yrs or until this kicks the bucket as well.
Yeah, I never had any space issues with my 64GB either. I think the phone I had before that had 16 GB and I used that up in photos and couldn't add any apps
Good video! Very informative and helpful! Thorough and to the point without a lot of rambling! I like that! My son will be buying a used iPhone soon so this will be very helpful! Thanks!
iPhone 14 is giving problem as internet connection is not stable ,, and poor uploading messages.. I wish apple will bring some improvements related to this issues ..
I watching this on my iPhone 12 (upgraded from an iPhone 11) and man the difference is night and day especially with that OLED screen vs the 11’s LCD setup plus the 12 is much lighter
It’s simple the plus model is the best option from the 14 line up to buy for the everyday average person this coming from a pro max only user but 99% of people don’t need the useless pointless extra features the pro & pro max models have
@@MuzammilKhan-oi6td although I personally would love all iphones having the same chip less people would buy the pro and pro max models and apples goals is to sell as many pros and pro maxes it can. Plus if you use a old chip it saves more money. In the end it would be a huge w for the costumers if all models had the same chip even for me.
@@sjsjsdjdjdk3646 you know that 15 non pros will have old chip so how is it gonna be saving money I mean even in android they give even 165 it more chip then apple non pros if you are a gamer and won't best battery without lag then apple lost in that and if people didn't buy there non pros apple will lose bug money like how in the 14 non pros make apple lose a lot money apple just doesn't want to sell pros they want to sell non pros to if people didn't buy non pros apple will lose a big money again when 14 non pro fail apple lost big money in that
so i have an android device an i wan to upgrade to a pro series iphone just because i cant go back to 60 hz and the dynamic island is a cool feauture also the camera and video capability thanks for the video
I had iphone 12 pro. I sold it because it was to big and heavy and storage was just 256gb, which is too less for me. I bought smaller phone iphone 13 mini with 518gb storage and now I have bigger memory for photos etc and phone is small qnd I cqn put it into my throusers pocket.
As far as storage goes, I had 64 GB since 2018 and it was enough for my many apps and photos. I am not a big video taker though. I would recommend not going below 64. I have the sense if you aren't making your own content for the internet 128 would be plenty. If you are big into posting content on social media, 256 would be minimum.
I’m going through this right now, I’m a heavy power user and I got the iPhone 13 Pro. This phone is amazing and it lasts me all day but I feel like It would have been better for me to have decided on the iPhone 13 Pro Max for the bigger battery . Also after seeing the iPhone 14 models j decided to skip it and maybe even skip the 15, if I would have gotten the 13 pro max I would most likely skip even more after getting the battery replaced and I regret not getting the 256GB model too 😅
Like me I've not had a phone since my 6s plus so having a 14 is nice and so much as changed with iPhone since crazy so I'm happy with mine and don't plan to upgrade till at least iphone 17 and see a huge difference in no notch dynamic island and a difference in body and camera
I’ve had the 13 pro max, 13, and just got the se 2nd gen. Couldn’t be happier. Battery kinda sucks, but I’m always near a charger so it doesn’t really matter.
