I think, it's very hard to be a first who use some new techniques, but to be a someone who hear and understand how it works, and also can recreate this techniques to achieve a similar result - this is real talent! Thank you Austin, and excuse me for my bad english.
@@MakePopMusic I studying english at your lessons of creating a modern songs on RU-vid. Two rabbits by one shot, or two birds with one stone as you can say. By the way, if you don't mind, the lessons about modern funk music like Dua Lipa or Jason Mraz was long time ago, may be it possible to repeat this subject. Of course, if this style still relevant for community
Amazing video. There's an effect on Chihiro where you hear what sound like Finneas vocals under Billie's in the first part of the outro. I would've really liked you to touch on that.
I think they’re actually using sketch cassette in L’amour De Ma Vie. I’ve seen Finneas use it a bunch and it does the random panning tremolo and the vintage filter roll off all in one plugin. Best 30 dollar plugin ever!
Your videos are always educational and totally spot on. Thanks:) I’m very torn with regards to the vocal sounds on the new BE album… her technique has really improved with regards to belt, power and placement but I’m finding the vocal production itself is using too much reverb and generally not as special in comparison to previous albums.
Fyi, finneas seems to use logic compressor(the cleanest one) on billieeilish. Always on attack 15ms, release50ms Threshold and ratio is always different. And most of verbs are valhalla room and plate
can you consider doing a video on "how to make a song like we can't be friends (wait for your love) - ariana grande" I would love to see you implementing the running bass in a pop song and the strings at the end, plus it's the top song on the charts rn!
Love your videos, if you needed any other ideas how about an Owl City style pop track? I know it's not so popular anymore but I definitely think it would call for a different approach and be interesting to see how you approach it. Thanks again for all the great content ❤
Heyy, love your channel! Damn Billies's new album is so great. I would like to watch a video about some sounds from that album. Like that wobble bass at the end of Lunch. that sound is so cool i want to know how to make it. Also the lead synth at the end of Birds of a Feather, and of course that goofy synth in The Diner. It sound almost like a laughter. Thanks
Good stuff and technical analysis. Am not a big fan of the album though I felt the vocals could get hard to detect most of the times in the album and mix was lacking compared to to her 1st album
At the time I needed a new computer ASAP and Macs were on a 4 month waitlist. Will be getting a fully loaded macbook pro next so I can just pack it and travel
Thanks Austin for packing all of this information in one video. My only gripe is that like some of the producers out there the video goes too fast and seems more like a commercial for your courses than a helpful video for producers. In other words, you are showing off how much you know, but the information itself is limited because you go too fast. Also, when you start the video by saying these are simple effects to create and then show a complex 50 step move for each one of the five effects it comes across as a little weird. Don’t get me wrong. The information is great, and hopefully your courses break things down a lot more, go slower and have checks for understanding.
Hey, in chihiro what mixing technique happens here? (this part) :ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wHbC6LqCNjg.html it's really subtle effect (sound like the vocal being reversed at some parts) but it could be something else. Thank you
