I agree completely. I usually get to a point in my daily practise when I start playing with a pick. I'd say I play 75% with fingers though but you can only do so much with human skin!

Jake, the nut size on the Fender Precision Bass has been 1 5/8 (1.625") since the early 1970s. You might still find a 1.75" on some special reissue models or special order, but that's about it. So the Serek has a nut width exactly the same as a Fender Precision. The Rickenbacker is about the same, but the Serek seemed more related to Fender in many ways.

Schecter Studio series basses are amazing. Price is good and the craftsmanship is amazing. Very versatile basses being able to play anything from Metal and Rock to Funk and Jazz and it does the job perfectly. Has an active pre amp with a 3 band EQ as well so it gives you a nice variety to work with just on the bass itself. My personal recommendation.

Hello : First time I've seen you. Question if you don't mind. I'm thinking of buying a Fret-less Bass. I've only played a Fretted. There's a lot a negative talk on RU-vid about being harder to play and in tune etc.. I love the sound of the fret-less and feel with some practice will play in tune. Ha But was wondering what your thoughts are on the Fret-less. Thanks Subscribed & Liked. :)
@hamonthecob
@hamonthecob 5 лет назад
Terry Hey Terry, I think the fretless is a challenge, but worth it if you dig the sounds of one. You definitely can do things on a fretless you just can’t do with a fretted. I’ve always had lined fretless basses, that way I can cheat a little and look at the fingerboard for reference. Numerous brands offer lined fretless options. That’s where I would start. Unlined fretless is a lot more daunting, especially when you’re new to fretless. Good luck!
