Hydro in the corner (and glowing) now makes sense since it means that the Hydro element is the only element being in its full force, since we already know that the hydro dragon have full control over his powers right now since Focalors gave up the seat.
I always thought it would make sense to have a light element and a dark one because of the battle pass talking about a kingdom of shadow and it would only make sense to have the opposite element as well
@@troddenleper8915 Light and Darkness would need to not only be renamed to fit with the rest but also more properly represent those Elements. That, and if we are to use these Elements they can't be pure good or pure evil. If we were to use "Abyssal" and it's power was corruption; it wouldn't work. It'd be counter to our Traveler.
I can see Imaginary, especially after completing the Narsizzenkreuz Ordo World Quest. The lore is slowly creeping into imagination and creativity being the birth of "powers/magic"
I'm not sure what elements are coming to the game but I think it's almost certain that traveler will get their original power back and maybe that will be one of the new elements I don't know but it's interesting to think about 0:58
I think he will get it, but not have that element be playable. He will probably lose that power to kill a boss or something, because there is absolutely no chance in hell mihoyo gives a broken character just for playing the game.
why not, I'll play along with some predictions. The first is obvious, its the dark purple energy we've seen Dain and the sibling use. Since this is a Hoyoverse game, It's safe to assume its going to be called Quantum. Second, if the above is truly quantum then its opposite Imaginary is likely in the game as well. Going by the color scheme, its possible we saw this in both Liyue and Inazuma. When the Traveller was given that golden glow during key moments. Third and fourth I'm going to assume its Pneuma and Ousia. I know fontaine characters can use this in conjunction with a vision, but I'm willing to bet its possible for someone to only have these. In fact, there is a story quest where you obtain a weapon that gives these arkhe alignments to characters that don't already have them. So theoretically if a non vision user had this weapon or one similar to it, they'd likely be able to use pneuma or osia without a vision as well. The last element I'd assume to be metal. That might sound strange considering we have geo already, however metal is an element within Chinese astrology. The five being fire, water, wood, earth, and metal. Of that list, the metal element is missing from Genshin. However, astrology IS in Genshin. We might one day see a metal element astrologist in Genshin. Or perhaps the visionary Mona was talking about, is such a user.
Aren't pneuma and ousia colors schemes literally dark blue/violet and bright yellow so I think they might actually hint at an Imaginary and quantum element in the game at some point Then the metal element could be called Ferro from Ferrokinesis the ability to control metal and also a branch Terrakinesis/ Geokinesis the ability to control Earth an element we already have so at most they just might add geo characters that use attacks based on minerals/ metals But it would be interesting to have a metal element i suppose
Do you think Pneuma and Ousia are Imaginary and Quantum, or related at the very least? And how might that relate to the Sword of Narzissenkreuz? Worth noting that the Pneuma and Ousia attacks made by the Traveler are called Spiritbreath Thorns, and Surging Blades respectively. It sounds like a reference to the Imaginary Tree and the Quantum Sea. Also, the etymology of Arkhe, Pneuma, and Ousia….
I think you’re right to suggest there will be 5 new elements. however I disagree with some of the analysis and I have some things to add onto to what you explained so well ~ The traveler’s white-yellow light seems to be associated with dreams and creation- thus I think that “light” is the equivalent of imaginary. ~ I liked the point about the triquetra (from tcg) representing 3 powers, or 3 elements. however I think it represents 3 types of light. The second “light”element I think will be “primal energy”- and it appears as a faded blue light. Alain and Rene spoke of primal energy in their research of the deshret ruins, and they explained how primal energy can be transferred into primal fire, tho it essentially starts as a pale blue light. You can see in the new area the at Rene’s tower uses a lot of primal energy. I like to associate that light with the seelies but it could also have a connection to arkhium. ~ the third light I think will have a pink magenta color, and there isn’t much I can say here except that the triquetra in tcg has a mix of yellow and pink, while the primogem and intertwined fate have yellow pink and blue (the three light elements I spoke of). When I think of pink light I think of the goddess of flowers with her bright pink flowers in the caves of hadramaveth and on deshret’s chair in the eternal oasis. ~ as for the other 2 elements I have 3 ideas. one is quantum like you said, but I’ll call that abyss, since the abyss is associated with void like quantum. ~ About dain’s element: when you showed the cutscene where he uses his powers it made me realize that the blue starry color is awfully similar to the weird blue “water” we see in the recent narzissenkreuz quest. as I was exploring it I saw that when the “water” fills the pipes you will see artifacts and weapons can be investigated from them. artifacts and weapons are basically memories in genshin, and memories appear in blue in genshin too. So dain’s element should have something to do with memeory I think (also the fact that he is losing his own memory is sus) ~ my last idea is about that red corruption element you see in the sustainer then in durin, chasm interlude quest, sumeru corruption sites and elynas. Dvalin’s tear had that red crimson theme that was later purified into blue (like the primal energy). I’d call it corruption.
I like your theory since I always thought it was weird to have so many different forms of light almost like the light/ imaginary element is divided in many different aspects (also one of the namecards with the elements that says the light divides itself in many colors but people only stop counting at 7) but I do have to say that mostly in hoyo violet and dark blue give off more like quantum/darkness/void vibes since forever I also think that you could take in consideration that in the game and the lore we were informed that Celestia threw the nails and destroyed Khaenri'ah because of forbidden knowledge which is a part of the power from the abyss and it was said that the Khaenri'ans summoned in Teyvat a power absolutely corrupting and devastating from beyond aka the abyss so I would say that the abyssal and corrupting elements could be one and the same
This was such a great video and exactly the kind of lore content I've been looking for. You explained everything really well and even had some ideas that I didn't even think about. Great job my friend, looking forward to more.
I have come up with a naming scheme for the 5 other ‘elements’; Iradia (light) Eonothema (space) Chronica (time) Umbra (abyss) Ultima (creation/physics).
Those don't go with the naming system for Elements. They end with "o" not "a". Edit: Also those Elements (well, maybe Light and Darkness are exceptions) don't fit.
OOO STEF THORY YAY! I wonder why five? very interested in this. Answering the question: Quantum and Imaginary are definitely going to come. Perhaps metal will be an element because it is one of the five Chinese elements (Wu Xing). Perhaps minerals instead of metal, which is part of the Dagara five elements (Dagara people are from Africa, which we know Natlan takes inspiration from). I can’t guess the other two 😭 I think of telepathy or power to control minds but that is not an element.
Then the metal element could be called Ferro from Ferrokinesis the ability to control metal and also a branch Terrakinesis/ Geokinesis the ability to control Earth an element we already have so at most they just might add geo characters that use attacks based on minerals/ metals But it would be interesting to have a metal element i suppose
Very good theory, but I feel like these 5 won't be in the same category as the others,as I've made in my mind, elements of life (the current ones who make up life in teyvat) and elements of reality (elements that compose the fabric of reality),quamtum makes what we see, imaginary makes our minds, fate touched makes our destiny's,abyss makes evil for the balance soo does light, without light there will be a world of pure unity,in abyss there will be pure chaos, without one of the 2 there wouldn't be balance in life
also I think the name card is just showing how many thrones are there or something like that, thats the reason why hydro is farther and uhhh that it was preordained to be destroyed
@@joesunday199 Honestly Star Rail put Quantum and Imaginary AS an ELEMENT but in Honkai Impact 3rd they're not elements, they actually are types of chars( basically its similar to ELements but are not elements themselves). And Genshin opening up a new element isn't impossible considering Hi3rd AFTER YEARS have added a new type of battle suit.
Tbh, if we get another element (or element system if they feel spicy) we'll get it om the Kaenri'ah chapter. Sumeru introduced Dendro almost 2 years into the game, so waiting almost another 2 or 3 years to let them cook isn't that outlandish.
In the game files, unknown gods element is ourano, which is probably inspired by the Greek god of the sky ouranos, so maybe there is another element called gaio, named after the Greek god Gaia who also happens to be the god of earth and the wife of ouranos. This could possibly be the names of the light and dark elements
But in the Chapter Travail Trailer Dain said "Defy this world with a power from beyond", so the Fate one being a human realm power seems like a bit of a reach
in Honkai Impact they adding Imaginary type later in the game just like how Genshin adding Dendro element later in the game, and in around years 7 in Honkai they introducing new type again Stardust, i can smell something similiar in this case Genshin always have those "Big Update" once a year and reaction combat is core of Genshin playstyle that's mean we can expect more than just one new element
@@Spiderrtank I'd say Yareli instead of Hydroid due to the rework turning him into a Corrosive based Warframe which I'm not sure really correlates to water, whereas Yareli is a surfing water blades bubble Warframe.
@@Spiderrtank yeah, it's been 84 years but they finally reworked him. He's pretty good against armor obviously, otherwise he's alright against everything else
I literally realised that the shape on the sustainers cube is so similar to the design of what skirk turns the narwhal into in the. abyss! SO there is definitely some abyssal corruption/ something else with the sustainer
So, here is my theory about 4 extra elements before I watch the video: 1. Abyss. Dark purple color. 2. Primordial energy. Light blue like seelies, desert mechanisms and many other things. 3. Light. Yellow color. 4. Forbidden knowledge. Red color. This also corresponds to the stages of khemia.
my predictions for the future elements 1 - light, traveller's element 2 - void / darkness which is what i would LIKE capitano to use 3 - what dain uses - abyssal? khaenri'ahn curse energy? idk 4 - the element that skirk uses (similar to quantum in star rail) 5 - this is also taken from star rail. but the imaginary element, however it operates more like creation and control, rather than light
Quantum and Imaginary for the easy two. Holy fire/Primal fire whatever it's called. The red corruption on the Sustainer, let's call it Darkness. And the twins' original power, Light. Edit after watching: Huh, Fate? Never heard that one suggested. Ooooh, I never thought of the Abyss Twin's power being Quantum! The Timeline Project sounds AMAZING :DD
I had a thought: they may add sub elements to currently existing ones like pneuma and ousia to represent additional elements without actually altering the core mechanics of the combat system
Now we have experiencing "teyvat chapter" until dains part mentioned in that travail trailer Maybe we have "other chapters" in the future 😂😂 Chapters that happens outside of teyvat😏
Well we see the certain tendency that abyssal (may be quantum) power has abolished the hilichurl’s curse, but also may be this kind of curse is more attached to modern humans of tayvat. Somehow the vision of delusion is capable of destroying human corpses with long lasting influence on corpses. While light power is not only to purify but also to sustain the curse of tayvat also we have seen many fractures (in the sky of SUMERU desert for exemple). What I don’t know is why we have fractures of curse manifested in reality but curse is still sustainable by itself, because earlier we know that it was a disaster in Sumeru and in Inazuma because of cursed knowledge. So Teyvat is an illusion sustaining by false irmensuls in each region, even if some people in those regions do know about curse (OR even maybe curse have been established by something sustainable with condition that destruction must come in the future (each 500 years)). Yet who is sinner and where are other shades of Phonet and elemental dragons???
Maybe the missing two slots besides hydro represents pnouma & ousia . And the three elements on top maybe quantum and imaginary where the light , dark and imaginary be a sub elements of them
If this is true, they should give a very good reason of why they've talked about 7 elements for years, and they left these symbols everywhere, even on loading screen. Lore wise, they simply can't "add" a new element and justify it on a story quest or whatever. Elements are essential part of genshin, like archons; it's not different saying there's a hidden archon to be revealed and a new element, or even a new region. What i mean is: they techically could do it, but in that case they need a very very very strong justification for this, and clearly the more the time passes, the more it becomes stronger. After 3+ years a news like that is a massive kick in your face. How would you introduce it?
Being a professional chemist all the comparisons with subatomic particles feel wierd bc there are 0 similarities in how this all works... But developers also are not professionals so nobody knows what they can imagine
I would say Quantum and Imaginary because of Honkai but then I remember "Teyvat has its own rules", so it might be Abyssal and Celestial so Hoyovere could plants seeds like; "is it the same element as Honkai?! 👻 Spooky connection for lore enthusiasts ooooo!" That's sarcasm, but I would LOVE if they did something like that ngl 😩
Obviously new elements will arrive after the 7 elements of Teyvat. With the lore of Genshin (celestia, Kendriah, the abyss, etc...) there is no way the quest of the Traveler will end with the archons. There is 13 leaders among the fatui and yet we only saw 5. The unknown goddess (and her boss) have to be introduced, etc... That game is far to be over.
My Question does King Deshreht have a similar power to the twins. Lilupar felt something familiar when she meets the MC and King Deshret was know to be able to use all the elements.(and basically told Celestia nope I don't want the Gnosis) There's also suspicion that he is the Sinner and the weird energy in his Ruins that are supposedly all 7 elements combined into a energy source But there a Deep Teal Color I've always felt the Pneuma and Ousia were prototype Quantum and Imaginary They basically are used to disrupt or destroy each other Maybe Keep those two and also having actual Quantum and Imaginary react with the alignment and only each other. Like Using Lynette to do Ousia then have Skirk(Quantum) trigger a Destruction reaction but keep the underlining Anemo So maybe it's Pneuma Ousia Deshrets Weird Element Dains Element(Reminds me of the Azosite and the commentary about it lacking a "Will") and Whatever the Heavenly Principles is using
Do concepts count, there are elements but, there are char definitely wield them, Base from what I see, every element has a corresponding concept if fully realized like Nuivellete able to manipulate Life, wielding the power of the Primordial Sea Primordial Light seems wield Fate itself, thou it was a little bit low rank that the PO, 4 Shades The Dragon King was defeated because the PO and 4 Shades itself wield Imaginary
I'm waiting for our characters to "Awaken" or "Ascend" like they eventually do in most established gacha games. This normally happens 3 to 5 uears into a game's life.
OK my guess before watching would be Quantum and Imaginary Like in Honkai, or even Stardust, the new Type. I always thought there would be light and dark type at some Point but now i think that might be replaced by QUA and IMG.
i've always been thinking that after that chapter of teyvat is finished we will potentially have to face the threat 'beyond' from where surtalogi or the whale come from. i will find this video again and type a fat skull emoji under it if it all merges into honkai starrail and i will be forced to play ANOTHER gacha game which i refuse to do because genshin is more than enough. i love genshin lore, it's so wide and realistic aka it ties back to real-life mythology and historical events. never gets boring
there cant much element as we can except maybe light element o r dark but 5 natural elements can be fusioned and result into new one like cryo but the game will not make new raw element cause into more work maybe we can see a new one but maybe is not far coming
I'm waiting for our characters to "Awaken" or "Ascend" like they eventually do in most established gacha games. This normally happens 3 to 5 years into a game's life.
theyll follow the same formula they do in all of their games, there will be a "darkness" and a "light" we know the darkness element will be related to the abyss as weve seen abundantly now, most recently with skirk the light element however is up for debate, it could be what we saw in the opening cutscene or it could be related to celestia
nothing of that is coming ...at least not at all in Phase 1 of Genshin Impact as long we still havent explored all of Teyvat and regained our original powers fully back..maybe in Phase 2 when they have to come up with new story content past our search for our sibling,...just like they started with Honkai Impact after 7 years with Phase 2 of the game. The only 4 Elements that make sense to be added are Light, Shadow, Time, and Space/Void But I doubt it, that they become ever Elements, that will be playable, like the other 7 natural Elements, I think they will stay story related unique Elements, which only belong to powerful story related NPCs, like Light belonging only to the Siblings, Shadow belonging only to NPCs like Dainsleif, Space only belonging to characters like Skirk and the Sustainer (Asmodeus), Time only to Istaroth they game would become way too complex with so many Elements being ever playable ...
If Mihoyo said that Honkai Impact, Star Rail, and Genshin are all in the same universe called the Hoyoverse and are apart of the Imaginary Tree that was introduced in Impact and somewhat of a Tree in Genshin. I wouldnt be surprised if it was just Quantum and Imaginary being part of those new elements or just called something else in Genshin.
don't we already have sub elements in Fontaine? light and dark aligned visions. I think that's a nice way to introduce a new concept in game but I do wonder if they will ever expand on that in the future.
