It is a great, incredible video with more astonishing information, and after that conjectures and possibilities are "amazing". Forgive me for being dramatically exuberant in my excitement, my field is confined to the biological realm, but this does excite me. I appreciate your passion for the subject of cosmology, and all the intricacies that come with it. This is too shallow for this depth, even though thank you so much, Chris.
That original Hubble 'Deep Field' image reslly opened the doors for distant universe astronomy and astrophysics. Not bad for what started out as a pretty random suggestion concerning where to point that unprecedented and magnificent tool!
Great video Chris! What's the scale for the M78 picture? Are the stars being formed as close as the Sun to Alpha centauri or are the distances at different scales?
M78 or Messier 78 is easy to look up by the way, just look up Messier 1 thru M110. It has a radius of 5 light years so it is 10 light years across on _average_ then add in the nebula above and the scale of just the nebulae is approx. 20 light years. Keeping in mind it is 1,600 light years from Earth.
Sorry , last time I mentioned a few channels, I ought to have mentioned 'on a par' with Cool Worlds to :-) I find the Drake Equation a total quantative nonsense worthy of only semi sentient Earthlings. I do however find these images of a far more Qualititative nature! Your imigary conveys infinitely more than simple senile statistics :-)
I literally saw Chris’ face more than I saw the awesome imagery. Some of those images got 3 sec of screen time then…back to Chris before I could appreciate the awesomeness. Less Chris more Euclid images.
