It's been a while since I last made a DMR video!
Since I got my amateur radio Technician class license back in 2020, the main amateur radio DMR network I've found myself using in the BrandMeister DMR Network.
In this video, I'll talk about some of the features of the BrandMeister DMR Network that I think you should be using!

I have the 878UVII and still haven't figured out APRS. I have watched some videos and I think I'm close, but need something else I guess.

I have not used the DMR system yet, I have Yaesu radios but wanted to try and cross mode with my open spot and try those systems out. Thanks for sharing those little tidbits 🤙🏻

Planning to make a cross mode video soon, stay tuned! I don’t have a Yaesu radio, but cross-mode should be relatively the same process for YSF->DMR, with some minor differences, I would think. Thank for the support, 73!

Digital is not radio. Its internet...

Digital is a mode radios can use with or without the internet, it's just the linking part has become easy and cheaper with the internet. If you have the full database installed, the contact will show on the other side of a simplex conversation without the internet just like most other digital modes. I believe most most operators know when they talk to someone in a different region on an HT that they are not on an HF radio...and in some cases you can get an internet link on HF.

Oh boy here we go again. Digital is just a different mode. You can do digital simplex radio to radio( no internet). It actually works great! You can also go RF into the repeater and talk locally if the gateway is down. I think this is what gives DMR and the digital modes a bad rap. Try it you might like it!
