Tasty was far from the first to put mayonnaise in a cake. I've found cake recipes going back decades that call for mayonnaise, albeit usually with no explanation whatsoever.
Me "mommy can I have that choclate cake for my birthday" my mom sure what are the ingredients" me flour beer coffee powder choclate" my mom did you say beer?"
I guess alcohol evaporates due to high temperature anyway. My mom uses vodka for pastries, and they become more crunchy and don't smell or taste like alcohol at all
@@denalihedgehog Depending on the amount of alcohol and the type of cooking done with it there are instances where the majority evaporates and there are instances where almost none of it evaporates. However, due to it often being only a smaller part of the entire ingredients, the overall alcohol content of the meal might be less than in, say, a ripe fruit (e.g. banana) and its taste would be overpowered by the other ingredients.

its really messy and i dont think u actutally knw how much ur gonna need plus just collect what gets left ,pop it in the microwave bfr use with black food coloring is ur savior
It helps get a good design (if you want one) and to coat it COMPLETELY. If you don’t use enough and make a new batch to top it off it doesn’t give the “mirror” look
Has anyone made the vegan cake? It looks incredible but I’m not an experienced vegan baker so I’m super intimidated to try it without a recommendation. And for the beer / mayo ppl, I’ve made chocolate cakes with both ingredients for years and I promise you all it does is earn you the undying love and devotion of whoever eats it.
I did this recipe (yes i know tasty is for watching not cooking) but sour cream would work and you actually don't need the mayo if you dont mind having a less dense cake
