Super duper amazing 😍. I'm gonna apply these Canons of Rhetoric. Really good points that are covered in this video and explained crisp , clear. 5 takeaway Principles 1. Invention 2. Arrangement 3. Style 4. Memory 5. Delivery Thanks, Alex Lyon ❤️
An easy and informative 11 minutes of viewing. Follow the advice and steps and no one should ever deliver a mediocre or poor presentation. Excellent information, I'm going to 'steal with pride' as the saying goes. Thanks Alex 😉
Probably should have doubled down on Cicero and included the memory techniques too😅 Awesome talk! Beautiful reintroduction to De oratore and De inventione !
Just as great as all your other videos. I highly recommend your channel to all my colleagues, as our organization strongly values communication skills. I've revisited videos many times to make sure I'm developing my training plans and facilitation guides in a clear and concise way. Thanks, Alex!
Thanks again! Good to see you in the chat, prestonik. Thank you for interacting. It makes the Video Premiere's fun for me and I'm sure the others who catch it.
Such a great video! I think I've been aware of all these aspects of speaking, though not consciously. These will be so helpful to keep in mind as I'm preparing new speeches and also evaluating how others give theirs. Thank you

I’m not a public speaker, I believe the points apply to me as a teacher. I think I need to work most on invention- creating a good opening and designing the overall conversation. Thank you for sharing!

@@alexanderlyon Aristotle wrote The Five Canons of Rhetoric a couple centuries before Cicero was born. I bought the translated book dedicated specifically to this work 40 years ago. I'm sure you can still find copies.
