Being an amateur photographer who goes to a lot of crowded meets, I couldn’t care less if someone stands in front of me. There was even a time where this guy had a powerade on his trunk and offered to move it and move himself which I told him it was fine. One time though, I was taking a photo of this GT3 and this guy with his camera comes up behind me and tells ME to move. I have a massive “I don’t care attitude” so I kinda just stayed where I was so I could line up my shot. All while i’m lining up this shot this guy is yelling at me and is gathering so much attention that security had to come over and escort him out of the meet. Photo came out good though, it’s one of my favorites :D
"oh yeah this one time I was lining up a shot and getting verbally abused by this stuck up photograbitch but the shot turned out ok so it's all good" LMFAO 🤣🤣
Kinda same, especially if that guys just trying to leave the meet, he'll rev if he wants but he shouldn't have to be told to do anything with his own car from some guy with an iphone on the curb
@@SirBroccolingtonIII What if they give you permission? Is that an exception? Is asking for it at a car meet even allowed? I ask because a couple times in College I asked permission to sit in a few race cars so I could get a view from the cockpit, and with some cars, a chance to see the drivers POV is just something you don't want to pass up if you can help it.
@@oneofmanyparadoxfans5447 That's the thing! They just do it without asking permission! People really do just walk up to strangers' cars and start touching it, leaning on it, and more without even knowing WHO the owner is. If you expressly ask for permission, a lot of people are cool about it. Even if they say no, they're not jerks about it. At least asking for permission is going further than most people. I've met people that will even ask if you'd like to take a seat in their car or check out their sound system. Many people I've met are more than happy to even pop their hood for you if you ask. People get very excited to talk about themselves and their hobbies, you just have to ask.
@@oneofmanyparadoxfans5447 If they give you permission, then it's fine in my opinion (can't speak for anyone else). But walking up to someone's car and slapping your sweaty hands on it while whispering "I must feel the weave" is very, very rude.
Does anybody else know of any car meets in the Massachusetts/ New Hampshire area? I can’t find anything and I’m taking my road test tomorrow so I’m really eager to join the car scenes. Update: I PASSED!!! Another update: can I attend these meets if I do not have a “cool car”
@@EmptyCheetosBag I figured with Covid and Winter, y'all probably didn't have much going on for now. Hopefully car season picks up soon. I Massachusetts has a Monthly Cars and Coffee, so OP can check that out soon.
About the "i deserve that more" stuff. I had such an happy Encounter pre covid. Saw a 911 cabriolet, and noticed the centerlocks, the huge carbon-ceramic breaks, and the small wing, but no badge, so when that lady got out, i asked her " *this, and this and that*... Thats a turbo s, right?" And she was just smiling, and said " wow, someone knows his stuff". And that was basically it. I was happy to see it, she was happy to have it, we where happy for one another.
I hate skaters for that particular reason, "MOVE BRO, IM TRYING TO PULL SOME SICK TRICKS UP IN THIS FUNERAL HOME" Like dang bro, relax, this isn't your house.
Yes, mostly people who don‘t have much money. They pay around 60-100€ a month just to have the newest iPhone, but they are always to broke to eat at a restaurant.
I usually use a phone for around 5-6 years or till they break or get stolen. I have owned 3 phones till now 1st one stolen after 5 years of use 2nd one ,well... It was an iPhone 6 my father used this for 4-5 years as well i used for 2 years 3rd, currently using 2 years still strong phone Im 20 now
I will say, in my opinion I’m fine with the know it alls as long as they aren’t an asshole about it. If you kindly correct someone on something that they said, I actually love it when people do that to me, it’s when, like you said, they act like they deserve someone else’s car because they know more. Awesome video, glad I found your channel again!
I feel the same way. I like having a more accurate understanding of the world, after being corrected. My self-esteem does get hurt for a few hours after being corrected, but I get over it.
6:18 thank you bladed. I have a '12 Focus SE hatchback n yeah, its a shitbox, but its my shitbox, and i love it, and try really hard to save money to do proper modifications to it at only 17.
You forgot that absolutely EVERYONE yells "is that a supra?" Whenever theres a supra. I probably wouldnt take a supra to meets cause its just so annoying
The fake carbon fiber that’s on my crosstrek does in fact have a weave. Disclaimer: I did not put it on there. Came from the previous owner along with a lot of other unnecessary things on it.
maybe it's because I drive a VW but I ain't ever caught someone feeling up my ride but I always get called out as an "attention seeker" or "clout chaser" because my homies have more expensive cars than I do so whenever I park with the squad my lowered Passat with purple underglow looks just slightly out of place
Who fucking cares what they think? Its your car, you love it. You do you. Anyone who has a problem with that doesnt have an opinion worth listening to.
Part of me wants an Ion Redline as a car to take to meets, for the simple fact you can't hurt those plastic panels lmao. They don't care if ya bring out a sledgehammer they'll take the hit.
2:08, I'm guilty of doing this with my car while driving. Every once in a while I'll take off from a light, or go around a corner faster than I should and have a little fun. Then I'll end up laughing my ass off and pat my steering wheel and say, "damn I love this thing!". Even though its a bone stock, shitbox 2002 corolla with a manual
these videos helped me become a car enthusiast I am only 10 I love classic muscle my favorite they still help me and this channel is underrated and even though people think you are mean I think sometimes you just have to be like that to for people to understand
I can’t wait till Quarantine ends so I can finally meet you in person! I have been making a plasma car into a fast go kart recently, so it is technically a “ car “
"Do a line" is a phrase I've never heard outside of jokes about drugs or acting of some sort. Made the stunting section rather confusing to me at first.
Number 4 there is an entire Subreddit dedicated to shaming bad parkers. Possibly the most satisfying thing is when a tow truck shows up to haul them off to the impound lot. Also I've been guilty of number 5, something I did way too often when I was younger and am not proud of, so I tend to keep my mouth shut at most car meets/shows I go to these days unless spoken to.
Off-topic but im playing roblox and some “car guys” started coming for me because I was driving a Lamborghini and they were driving in a Tesla roadster and coming for my car was saying it was slow I can’t with fake car guys car guys don’t only like cars for top speed
May I just say how I love it how you just get straight into the video, no intro, nothing. 10 seconds in and you’re already on the first topic, great job
i had a bad experience at a car meet once. The guy drove a 2018 Golf GTI. He had the small turbo engine that comes in them and he showed it to me. I awed at it because it was cute as fuck. Immediately he just responded "what? You think I can't beat you because it's a 1.8?" Like damn dude I just thought it was cute and cool as fuck ugh.
Idk, maybe I am misunderstanding smth, but that seems like a somewhat bad take to me. Just because your parents buy you a car doesn't make you entitled. I have a lot of friends, who got a car for their 18th or 19th birthday. 90% of them aren't entitled or anything. Now of course, if the parents buy a sports car or smth and then they go around showcasing it as if they were the ones, who worked for it, that's different. That's an incredible amount of entitlement.
People touch other peoples cars?! I went to my first meet/show (twas a jdm meet. Such Wankel, much happy) with a organized section and also a less organized parking lot show and i literally made sure i wasn't accidentally touching a part of someones car (including adjacent cars) more times than i saw a honda or miata, of which there were a lot.
Imagine thinking you deserve a car more than someone who actually worked hard for it jusg because you have more time on your hands to 'read the brochure'
The trucks I absolutely HATE at car meets are the ones with expensive wheels on it while its super-low in the rear and monster truck height in the front
Bro I worked so hard to get my car I would hate to get a dent from a skater. I worked to get my car to where it is and people still look down on it and say you should have got this or you should have got that. I got my car because I love the way it looks and the way it drives. People just don’t understand a love for a certain car. I wouldn’t trade my car for any other car because it’s mine there isn’t one that can replace the car. I’m 21 and people think I don’t deserve it but I worked hard for it.
Man I can't wait to finish my scout and take it to meets. It kinda drives right now and just needs the axles overhauled and the engine pulled for new crank bearings and what not.
Real talk about saving money, I got a motorcycle, not a car for my first purchase and I remember being a 19-year-old kid slapping hundred dollar bills right on the desk to pay for that thing in cash and walking out with the title. FYI I started working a full time job at 16 and job hopped seasonally until I got a permanent position
i like cars like alot do i own no i dont. so i watch alot of car media so call me a googler i dont care but i dont say that i deserve that car more than anyone else im very young and im in love with the c8 corvette like ALOT and ive allready started to save up money for my dream car and i respect you and your videos you make my day everytime you post. thanks bladed for everything you do to your viewers i dont think you know how much you mean for every viewer and subscriber just thanks. have a nice day:) you have made my life so much better thanks :)
They gotta touch it to know it's real, not the carbon fiber but the car, its probably a poster they've had for yrs or maybe saw it once drive by fast and never saw it again but never forget it, I bought my dream car so I don't blame people for wanting to touch my car, hey maybe the have the same dream, you never know
@@MRN932 Yep, happened to me like 3 times, which is a lot, considering I participated only at 5 of them. (Idk if there is any difference between US and EU in this department, I just know for experience that here are extremely rare car meets, sadly.)
And parking on the hard shoulder, that's really not a good thing.... It must not be done unless it's something like an urgent hospital visit or something really really urgent... so please don't do that... The hard shoulder is meant only for real emergencies..
On the last point... I don't really see car folks do this, but I see a LOT of drivers who can't park, drive with no headlights at night, etc. That's when I think that they don't deserve the car if they can't even use it properly and safely.
Fun Fact: When my mom drove me to school, instead of dropping me off at the front of the school, she would go to the back, park at a random person's house, and she and my siblings would just walk to the school the rest of the way. Later I found out it was a family member's house, but parking there everyday just felt wrong.
the only people that don't deserve their car is spoiled kids, if you go up to someone who actually put in the work to earn their own money to pay for the car and say they don't deserve it, that's just bullshit
Whether actually is rude or not is based on context and tone so me saying actually I learned a really cool fact about the paint is different from actually it’s red inferno lava chili
The last point is why I don't like supercars. They don't feel accessible enough to be purchased, I'd rather go racing because it's cheaper (for some categories) and more fun in my opinion. I'm not talking about F1 or NASCAR but owning an LMP3 or a GT3 car and running prestigious races like the Daytona 24 is accessible to amateurs
For number 5, I don't have anyone to talk to since none of my friends or family are car guys. So I just try to chill and look at some cars and take some mediocre photos with my phone.
Aww man i was expecting you to mention the guy with the modded car saying they can take people to gapplebees but makes a whole lotta excuses when you suggest the race is settled on a closed road course, even if he/she can afford to pay for a track day.
I got a Scion FR-S as my first car, my dad is a mechanic and knows how to do pretty much anything to a car (he used to drag race a bunch), would it be better to do a full engine swap(which is expensive) or a turbo or supercharger (which is less expensive) I am not rich so I was wondering which would be the best bang for my buck
Bro with the photographer thing I’ve been literally told to park away from a car meet because the photographer didn’t want my car (Volvo ) in the photo... but did want a 08 Yaris
