You realize Samurai Jack was not a reboot. It was a continuation. (I am saying this because Samurai Jack is probably what inspired this video most likely) Reboot= clean slate brand new restart Continuation= continuing where left off.
If you are implying it was cancelled because of Elizabeth gillies, I should propably tell you, You can blame Victoria Justice and arianna grande...victoria was on quite an ego trip at that time and ariana was pushing for her music careen, so working with them started to be rather difficult...if anything, gillies and bennet were among those who wanted another season

There is a show I feel that need a reboot and it is Sym-Bionic Titan. Sym-Bionic Titan was a great show about two aliens and a robot escaping their overthrown world, and landing on Earth. They're trying to hide and fit in to Earths culture also while saving Earth from mutants aliens by forming Sym-Bionic Titan. It was a great show with excellent characters developments and it was cut down too soon and never had a chance to shine. A reboot will help give the story more attention and a great ending it deserves.
It would be a great idea if Adult Swim could bring Sym Bionic Titan, just seeing how they helped Genndy Tartakovsky making a one epic conclusion by continuing Samurai Jack, I feel they should work with him again to continue Sym Bionic Titan instead of rebooting it, how about that better?

It didn't get a cliffhanger. The show got a second season that wrapped up all the plot threads from the first season. I liked it. the Scooby gang managed to kill a Lovecraftian horror and set right what it had wronged. Good stuff.
Totally spies is supposed to be getting a season 7. Season 6 is on youtube in English if anything I would love to for it to be on TV again it's one of my favorite shows
... I'd watch a Totally Spies reboot. Heck, I'd watch the original TS again... if I knew the channel and time it airs in my country. Also if it didn't air random episodes, seen as there are some arcs here and there.
I want that so much. If they did do a 10 years later thing I would hope that they can say the last episode didn't happen or something. I don't like people knowing his secret identity.
I may have not have liked 'Totally Spies' due to it's vapidness, but if the 'Avatar/Korra/Voltron' team were in charge of a reboot, I would be ALL for it! They would actually make it more watchable than it ever was with their writing, and characterizations.

Daria. Either a reboot or continuation. If continued, I'm thinking she moves back to Lawndale as a newly single mom to get help from her parents to watch the kids while she works. We could follow the various characters; the kids going to school, Daria working and maybe getting back on the dating scene, her old schoolmates that stuck around, etc. Could be great.

Love the fact that first one I thought of was pirates of dark water too. Been following you for a really long time and I love the channel. I don't normally comment but just had to say it. I want to see What a cartoon come back for the aspiring animator. I mean it was the show that gave us some of the 90s most iconic toons. Thanks for all you do!
You need to read Future Quest. It is a Jonny Quest rebootquel but sets the quest team in a larger Hanna Barbera universe occupied by Space Ghost, Birdman, The Galaxy Trio, The Herculoids, and Mightor. I would love to see Future Quest turned into a modern action toon but I think it does need to take itself seriously and have real stakes and a serialized story. Also real adventures of Jonny Quest was awesome.
I completely agree with your list, they were are classic picks that would work well now, including "Totally Spies" that was actually a great show. And my little pony is a little different than "the now" humour. It's a little more story based and the only memes used in it are to one's that the show made itself...its just buried under a mountain of adorable sugary cuteness. and is it just me or did that last sequence of animation in this video almost mirror "Adventure Time's" intro sequence?
DUDE, you know Adult Swim could properly reboot "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast". ^^ *HOWEVER...* the toughest part would be finding... well... a new, suitable Moltar...
Fetch With Ruff Ruffman was amazing, but the reason it got cancelled was understandable. The game show may have been one of the best kid game shows ever made, but they couldn't afford literally sending kids to Disney World for their challenges.
One show I would love to see get revive is Mission Hill. Its a show about a kid name Kevin who went to live with his brother Andrew and his roomate in the big city, the show was funny becuase it took modern culture and kind of made fun if it. The creators of the show said they have no plans to revieve it as they think people wouldn't like it (as that how it got cancelled in the first place), but with shows like today, I think it would do well and heck one of the creators Josh Weinstein even went to write for Fururama and Gravity Falls.
Chaotic. I can't be the only one who saw it, right? It had the green dude with purple zebra stripes. The red dude who looked like a demon. The tiny green dude. That would be great.
There's this great line of comics out right now from DC called "Future Quest". It has all the classic Hanna Barbara superheroes teaming up together, establishing a shared universe--keeping the elements that made the cartoons great, while giving it just a bit more serious edge, AND adding a few new characters that fit well with the canon ones. They could (and should) totally make THAT into a cartoon.
The fact that you included Johnny Quest in this made my day. A beautiful cartoon, that sadly was abused horribly in later years. The original series is one of my favorites and I rewatch it every year.
I'm honestly so glad you put Space Ghost Coast to Coast to come back. It's my favorite adult cartoon and it deserves to return in honor of C. Martin Croker.
I remember Space Ghost as that superhero who said what he was gonna do right before he did it. Like "Oh a wall of fire. I bet an ice blast will put it out" *uses ice blast
I can imagine a Space Ghost Coast to Coast remake: Space Ghost telling everyone 'Hello there, citizens. I have a question for you : Would you smooch a ghost?' or Zorak saying 'You're going to have a bad time'.
I got to be honest, I don't mind, even love reboots if they give us a new interpretation on an old property, or even just make something alive again for a new generation. I guess I will dislike something if it doesn't have a soul or essence to the original... but I could possibly be one with a poor opinion on what makes a "good remake" because I actually like Teen Titans Go! lol 5) Courage the Cowardly Dog. This could actually be downright terrifying done for today, maybe for Adult Swim, maybe just aimed at teens like Adventure Time, it would be fun to see a horror-comedy cartoon in 2017! Maybe you change it where Muriel and Eustace are trying to sell a cryptid show for a paranormal channel and they drive around the USA looking to find the unknown. Muriel believes in the stuff and Eustace is a skeptic looking to make a quick buck, but Courage just wants them to retire. 4) Invader Zim Maybe it is just better off making a brand new thing, but I think you could take Zim and Gir, and rather than make it such an obviously in your face cynical show, you make it a high stakes serial Pinky and the Brain story where they slowly do Take over the world. Rather than make Dib some kind of friend/ tattle-tail sibling, Phineas and Ferb's Candace-like character, make him Stewie Griffin from Family Guy. Make him a competing Evil Genius from Earth looking to conquer Earth, being Zim's rival that thwarts him along the way, while the mostly mindless stephard-wives like people go along with whatever is proper. It would be limited by having an actual end, but along the way there could be funny jokes in everything from Zim trying to take over the school with Dib replacing the principal with a replicant to be his butt-kiss, to Zim running for president, learning how to fake smiles, campaign promises, and learn how to Kiss Babies, while Dib, being an earthling goes full Trump and astonishes Zim as Dib beats him in polls. I think the humor would come from them both being evil with the same goal, trying to hide it in a world that kind of doesn't want to know (that these two kid-looking things are terrible). 3) The Flintstones I think make it an Adult/Family cartoon for today. Something for the Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and Simpson's audience, but maybe not raunchy enough to go to regular TV-14 rated episodes. Don't have too many ideas but the scenery would stand out, and the Flintstones need to be known as more than the Fruity Pebbles guys to today's kids! Maybe give it a Mike Judd sense of humor, but instead of making Rock-puns all day, make it a parody of 60/50s culture. Make it where the joke is that those times were like the stone age. 2) Darkwing Duck I think this could be fun, likely we will get a cameo in Ducktales, but I can see a reboot of this working today alongside DuckTales to really give Disney that wide-range branding. I think you can make it a superhero parody comedy animation with a long-form serious mystery plot running beneath. Goslyn I would re-do as a Teen, and make her more of a "Batgirl/Oracle" kind of character where she is solving Crimes and Darkwing is kind of the Face, Hero, and Muscle. I guess, there is a danger of treading Inspector Gadget waters with this formula, but I think I would bump Launchpad into a more guest-starring role and really force Darkwing to be the hero. It was my one frustration for the original is that I wish he could be sometimes cool, and I want to have that Dragon Ball Goku effect where Darkwing is sometimes cool, but most of the time... kind of a lame dork. (However, without giving him Goku-like super powers, just make him reliable in that in the end, he shows up and makes things right, or a plan of his surprisingly works, making you debate whether he is clever or an oaf... as he still can't put the greater mystery together) I think you could also put together a "Disney Avengers" Organization together where Darkwing and his brooding and notorious reputation puts him in a Batman-Justice League sort of role with actual powered heroes. I think you could create Original Characters, have old ones be a part like Gizmoduck, maybe even ones from the comics, slightly remade like PK taking a Superman-Like role. I think the dynamic of having the "Batman: why am _I_ here? How am _I_ leading?" sensation coupled with Darkwing's personality will make for some pretty funny and entertaining situations. In the original, Darkwing could barely handle being around Gizmoduck, imagine him being a part of a super team where they actually all value his input and heroics! 1) Gargoyles The original was great, you can't really replace it... but it also is kind of 90s now and incomplete. I think you can still appreciate it today, many do, but I can see the Gargoyles using a visual update, I can see it working better now as it can do more serious stories. I'd make it a CG Action-Hero show for kids, with a Y7-PG rating, and expand on the lore and ideas for making toys around. Something similar to targeting the Ninja Turtle and Power Ranger audience, but feel in line with the Avengers, Star vs. the Universe, Gravity Falls, Ultimate Spiderman Disney XD fan and sensibility. 0) Space Ghost.... I would say, I wish Space Ghost to be rebooted as a kind of comedy-space themed "The Tick" for a PG to TV-14 rated audience, but I would totally miss the voice Actor for Zorak and Mandark, Martin Croker. They went on and finished Samurai Jack without Aku's VA, and it was great, but in 2017... it just feels too soon. :( However, I really love that idea of bringing back Space Ghost Coast to Coast, I love just bringing back Space Ghost the original, but making it a comedy by putting the Coast-to-Coast version as the lead with Jan and Jace and the monkey, and just trying to do stupid space adventures.... but I can't get over it.. Also, Johnny Test is gender-swapped Dexter's Lab written for children with ADD. Just so you know, you aren't missing anything. If you don't like Mighty Magiswords... then don't even bother with Test because at least Magiswords is creative.
Late to comment here but Johnny Quest and Space Ghost (the actual show not the funny parody series Coast to Coast) have been rebooted recently in comic form. Basically through Future Quest, which is continuing to this day basically telling stories related to the action themed Hannah Barbara cartoons including the two mentioned series, Birdman, the Herculoids, Galaxy Trio, Mightor, etc. Its pretty awesome! Though I agree there should be new cartoons of those series.
When you put Pirates of Dark Water on this list, I wanted to set off fireworks in my own bedroom. And Totally Spies was one of my fav shows to watch, especially the sequel to the series that involved three young kids who also worked for the same agency. The rest of this list I've seen them all during my childhood and I loved it.
If you haven't seen, there are Hanna Barbera comic books that are super badass and grown up with the fans. There is Scooby Doo Apocalypse (my favorite, I mean come on, Shaggy has tattoos, Scooby is part cyborg, and Velma sends the world into an apocalypse with her mad sciene!), Future Quest (a coming together of Johnny Quest and Space Ghost), The Flinstones, and Wacky Race Land (basically MadMax, but with bright colors and fun stuff). But yes I agree with the totally spies reboot! I loved that show as a kid
I think they should remake Histeria. It combined two types of shows that were popular back in the 90s. It was an educational variety show that took the educational content of shows like The Magic School Bus and combined it with the style and humor of Animaniacs. They had some great voice acting talent involved like Cree Summer, Tress Macneille, and Laraine Newman. I think a reboot wouldn't be a bad idea. It could teach kids history without being boring.
I love the concept of a reboot for Pirates of Dark Water!! But two of the shows I really want to see a reboot of are; Reboot (Reboot of Reboot anyone?) and/or Gargoyles. Both series ended up getting cut off at the end and/or weren't able to tie up loose ends for whatever reason, but both were FANTASTIC ideas that I know a lot of people would love to see further fleshed out.
Two reboots I want would be The Centurions, it was a series where three people had armors (well three main). These armors had attachable parts based on vehicles, one had planes and air vehicles, one had boats and water vehicles, and one had cars and land vehicles. my idea of a reboot is have four main cast members. Each has their own set of vehicle armors but each has their own air, land, and sea vehicle to make the missions better.... My other idea is to bring back Freakazoid and have him join the dc universe. He could be treated as the "Deadpool" of Dc

Not sure how many people know about this show, but Class of the Titans was my personal fave (no typo, it is indeed "Class", not "clash"). Similar idea to Percy Jackson, with Greek gods/heroes, and yet so unique in its own right. Gawd, would LOVE to see it air again!!
I'd reboot the 80's DnD cartoon. The original has its own merits, but it was definitely a product of its time. Still, that franchise has a lot of storytelling potential given how storytelling is kind of the name of the game. It would be especially great if some of the writers had played DnD as kids. That would give them an advantage in representing the culture and meta of DnD in the story, so long as it's only used to inspire the core of the plot and characters and not to add in redundant and out of place references. I'm not opposed to a little nod here and there, but I will eat these words if a character just up and says "I'll cast Magic Missile at the darkness". Remember kids, never go full Teen Titans Go.
Totally Spies was one of my favourite shows! I fee like a reboot (a GOOD reboot lol) would be great. I feel like they could create some better story arcs. Not that the current ones are bad, they're great. But something new and fresh would be good as well! Let's not forget about the cool gadgets. They could really do some cool things with the technology of 2017! :D
A cartoon I would love to see rebooted is The Secret Saturdays. I feel like with success Gravity falls had with it's mysteries and weird creatures, the Secret Saturdays would work better than it did back in 2009 when cartoon Network went through that "CN Real" era. I feel like people didn't give the show a shot, thus the cancellation forced to show to end suddenly and leave us with a couple serious plot holes. If you aren't familar with it, it's worth a shot. It's about cryptids (creatures not recognized by science) and legends from multiple different cultures. It had some interesting twists and the whole show itself had an over arcing plot from episode one. I just urks me that no one seema to know about the show or even heard about it.
Well i can totally agree for Pirates of dark water and Totally spies. Actually that Pirates show for some reason felt WAY more fun when i watched it as a kid. I don't know why but it had something really special in it. Yea. This one DEFINITELY needs a continuation of any kind.
I think there should be a reboot (or sequel) series to "Krypto the Superdog". It would have a little vibe like Danger Mouse, Inspector Gadget, & The Powerpuff Girls. And the only slight change would be that Mammoth Mutt would be Krypto's girlfriend/love interest
I wouldn't mind seeing Gummi Bears get a reboot. The original series was thick with the kind of imaginative world-building we get from shows like "Airbender", but never got the overarching story it deserved. It has all the makings of a great fantasy epic if Disney ever wants to give it another go.
I agree with rebooting Jonny Quest and Pirates of Dark Water. In fact, that show started as a miniseries and the characters never found all 13 treasures to save their world. My reboot suggestions: The Impossibles (I loved this HB show and I think it could work as a retro universe toon with great retro rock music ), Space Ghost/Herculoids (fun toons from the 60s which could benefit from a modern makeover), Scooby Doo (yes, they've been brought back many times and SD: Mystery Inc. so far has been the best since the original but I think we could benefit from something even more intense - like Zombie Island level material) and Mission Magic (a Filmation cartoon from the early 70s which has Rick Springfield voicing a character who rules over a magical kingdom while a good witch named Miss Tickle keeps the balance in the real world with missions she and students participate in at his behest).
Pirates of Dark Water is part of a legacy of late 80's early 90's cartoons that could use a good reboot. There were so many off the wall ideas that deserve a fresh start. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Toxic Crusaders, Bucky O'Hare, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K....I could go on for weeks. Space Ghost Coast to Coast is another good idea for a reboot, but I honestly think a more entertaining idea would be if they simply picked things back up where they left off...well more accurately if they picked things up as if the show has been abandoned for the past decade or so since the last episode aired. I can picture it now, the studio is in shambles with dust covering everything. A crate in the center of the stage makes some strange muffled noises, as the camera pans in the noises become more clearly Space Ghost threatening Zorak and insisting he let him out or so help him. Eventually breaking free (which begs the question why Space Ghost hadn't bothered to break free earlier), Space Ghost rounds up the old crew to lock them up for having left him in that crate for the last decade. Thus the stage is now set for them to be enslaved again to further his egotistical talkshow. I just hope they visit Brak's Dad, he deserves some more love.
I seriously doubt they're going to bring Space Ghost Coast to Coast back, (as sad as that is), seeing how Clay Martin Croker, voice of Zorak and Moltar, sadly passed away on September 17, 2016. I would love to see a reboot of the show, but I think, at the same time, I would be pretty upset if both of those boys received a new voice actor. (Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Space Ghost's voice actor has also retired due to health complications).
I actually love it when my favorite shows are rebooted because of two reasons. Reason one is I get a chance to fall further in love with a show and even if the reboot is crap, the original still exists and just makes the show look even better when compared. Reason two is the merch comes back to mainstream stores. lol
I would LOVE a Pirates of Dark Water reboot... I loved that show SO MUCH as a kid that I hurt my leg really bad while I was in my play room watching it and my family wanted to take me to the hospital, but I didn't want to go SOLELY because I wanted to watch the end of the episode that was on! That was the last time I saw Pirates of Dark Water on TV, too.
I'm thinking Freakazoid. Think about it. You got a show that was originally gonna be like Batman but then Spielberg changed his mind at the last minute to make it more comedic so the production team really didn't have any time to really give the show a "true" identity. Just kinda throwing in some random ideas some of which went nowhere. Plus, the internet was a VERY different place back then.
You didn't acknowledge the main obstacle that prevents a "Coast to Coast" revival from being very likely: the loss of C. Martin Croker, animator and voice of Zorak and Moltar.
Now, I love Space Ghost Coast to Coast. It’s my favorite show of all time, and while I would love to see it return with new episodes, I’m not so sure I want it to come back right now. Mainly since C. Martin Crocker, the voice actor of Zorak and Moltar and the animation director died in 2016. I’m not sure anyone could replace him as the voice of those characters, at least not so soon since it’s been about a year and a half since he passed away. George Lowe and Andy Merrill as Space Ghost and Brak would be great to see again, but without Croker as Zorak and Moltar to complete the acting trio, it wouldn’t be the same. You need all of them together and if you remove just one actor from the trio, it doesn’t work as well.
I was really peeved when they cancelled the new Thundercats, I was so into it and then it was like "Oh it's cancelled". As for things that should be rebooted I would LOVE to see a Danny Phantom reboot.
