I just found my toothache and pain after root canal is because, recently I eat a rock like chips, which is very hard but it have some kind of delicious taste and I can't stop chewing, 2 days later I had this pain, but only when chewing and exposed to hot water or food, I can barely eat anything and the doctor says only 1 option available, to "remove" the only tooth I had to chew. I said "NO" obviously, otherwise how can I eat without it since the pain only come when chewing, let's see within this week if there's any improvement. If it become more pain, I guess I'll take that only one option. be healthy folks, I really regret I don't care about my tooth in my teenage era, now I have to face the consequence

I had my root canal done on my upper jaw's left first premolar ,2 years back...since three to four days I'm suffering from an ache which isn't quite loud yet...if food, water or even toothpaste touches it, it starts paining more. Sir I also tried looking at it with a torch but I see no damage on the white material, but I am afraid that something is going on behind the tooth, I mean the side of the tooth which faces the back of mouth. pain that causes horrible headaches, cheek bone ache, temple area, after procedure, of filling could be overflow of filling, and when a drop, falls, below into root, gives nerve pain, pain level could be from 1 - 10very hurtful, with no throbbing, but chewing has no pain. Gum irritation is almost immediate from filling overflow over the tooth. This is picked up on X-rays to the nerve in the tooth!

Contemplated for months wheather to go ahead with the procedure or not, fearing the pain, i have to say its an Absolutely painless procedure, make sure you go to a good dentist. If ignored, if the tooth gets infected that is definately gonna hurt. Also managed to save my tooth. The second seating as well was painless, u will just feel mild vibrations of the tools. That's about it I almost fell asleep during the procedure

Has anyone had pressure and pain weeks after a root canal? I had one done on my upper left first molar 3 weeks ago and have had nonstop pressure on that side of my face. It feels swollen but isn’t. I also have some pain. I’ve tried ice, antibiotics, motrin with no progress. The endontist said everything went well and I shouldn’t have this feeling. My tooth was abscessed and had been for some time. I did have some damage to the bone above the tooth because of the abscess.

Do not go to the dentist your better off having your tooth fall out I made the mistake going in 2017 and have been in and out of the dentist since. Tons of fillings 3 root canals and non stop pain. Never had these problems before I started going to the dentist. Ok so this is my story i had a broken tooth which already had a cavity so that is why it broke i guess while eating something. So i went to a dentist that to a surgeon, she did recommended rct, perfomed it in two sittings and the pain which was not there before started. It was so painful that i had to get it redone from a different dentist . So i thought the problem was over but again the pain started on the same side and my dentist the previous one has told me to get the wisdom tooth removed wich was quite impacted so, went to a third dentist again a surgeon . she performed the surgery and the pain was still there but everybody told me to bear it so i did then a new pain started in the upper tooth of my same side . Again doctor recommended rct because there was food getting lodged between two teeth but that was a complete fail as in the second sitting the tooth was so painful that i had to take 4 injection of anaesthesia and i was still crying with pain so i told her to remove that tooth and she said that it might be cracked so she removed it but a tip broke off and she left it in there she said if i try to remove it , it might Peirce my sinuses. Then again a new pain started in my lower tooth (same left side ) arising in the same area because of the sensitivity, had to get rct done from a fourth doctor because the pain would not go away and it has been 7 to 8 months the pain shoots to my temples . It is not going away no matter what. I am scared of eating so many painkiller i just don't know what to do anymore and i am actually traumatised by all this and i don't know if anyone can help me

My daughter had a root canal. Which I think was premature due to the fact she still had feeling in the tooth that they were going to perform the procedure. Now a year later for the first time since the root canal she is dealing with a different type of pain in that same tooth. I'm not quite sure what to do. I think the pain she was experiencing originated from when she was in elementary school. She went to the nurse complaining of her tooth it was loose, the nurse yanked her tooth out. I believe that's where the problems originated. In some years later she was playing on the driveway with something like a skateboard her little half brother stuck his foot in front of the wheels making her fly off hate hit face on the concrete damaging that same tooth plus the one right next to it. I am deeply concerned I hope somebody can give me some good advice.
