Let's take CP instead of X so people can easily understand that here the value which they find first its actually Cost Price not Selling Price X=CP(cost price) so, CP x 70/100 x 140/100 =490 then CP =500 but its a original cost price and J sold it to K in 30% loss means 500 x 70/100 =350 ( J's selling price to K). 🐯 Thanks sir 🐱🙏❤️

*Shortest way to do this* : Fraction value of 60% is 3/5. Since the denominator represents the total value and the numerator represents the amount of change, we'll take the ratio of current year's population (CYP) and next year's population (NYP). NYP = CYP + Numerator (change). Plus sign is a result of increase in the population. CYP NYP 1st year (60%=3/5) 5 : 8 2nd year (60%=3/5) 5 : 8 ------------------ 25 : 64 ------------------ This implies that the population increases from 25 to 64 in 2 years. We know the value of 64 in question is 87040. So, the value of 1 ratio will be (87040÷64) and we need to find the value of 25 _(the first year's population)_ , which is {(87040÷64)×25}, which is exactly what he deduced. *CAUTION: Be advised to use this method only when there's a successive percentage change **_(as in this question)_*

Cross check for your answer "350". Let the cp is 350 ₹ ok? Then J sold K for 30% loss So 350*(70/100) = 245 ₹ Means that the cp for "K" is 245 ₹ Now he sold that for 40% profit So 245*(140/100) = 343 ₹ means that "L" paid 343 ₹.... Not 490 ₹... 😊 Now let 500 ₹ is main cp Now 30% loss of 500 Means 500*(70/100) = 350 ₹ means "K" buy it for 350 ₹ ... Now K sell it with 40% profit... So 350*(140/100) = 490 ₹ .... traditional method:- let original price 100x its decrease by 30% = new price 70x its increased by 40% =new price98 98x=490 x=5 ; 100*5 ans = 500 but short trick by dear sir x*70/100*140/100=490 so x=500 is the answer

1st question ka ans jada fast banane ke liye... Dono percent ko add krke 64 ke equal ke 100% nikal ligiye... Means 6%+10%=16% 16%=64 100%=64/16×100=400

Directly K selling price is 140/100x=490....it means 490 is 140 percent but now we gate actual buying price of k is equal to selling price j ....140/100x =490 =350

Matlab aapko article ka 70% batana hain na ki 100% kyunki article 30%ke loss me becha gaya hain. 500Rs article ka 100% price hain aur us article ka 30% loss me becha jana. Matlab 70% of 500 = 350. Therefore the correct answer is 350. Now, you recheck your answer.
