It’s so nice to find a upload with common sense advice rather than a advert for something that costs and is just a hidden blag/advert! Thank you, I’ve been having hot flushes for over 14years now since I had my youngest daughter when I was about 32 I’ve had daily sweats mainly on my face and I end up dripping wet with no makeup left on yet all my bloods are normal except for showing I’m in the middle of the menopause and I’m also suffering from wake up anxiety as well so your video is so helpful to me- you’ve told me more In five minutes than anyone’s ever been able to tell me before ever! I’m a fan , subscribed!
Omg 14 years why would you put up with it are you a suckered for punishment? ? Mine last 2 months until they were so bad (2 an hour) it was debilitating. I've started medication because otherwise I couldn't function.
I found myself crazy about Brussel sprouts ..I have them four times a week at least for the last six months..then found out they are loaded with magnesium..my body was telling me something. Yes, crazy traffic gives me hot flashes and palpitations, and hold my breath when I have anxiety too. Breathing...it's important for life.
We need to think of doing the shopping with our stressed nervous system like we think about doing the shopping with small children: make sure they're fed, watered, and not cranky before you go! Love your videos; thanks from Maine USA
I am so grateful for you! Two weeks ago my night sweats have increased after my husband and I decided to rescue a 7mo puppy and the next day he had emergency gallbladder surgery. Oh, the night sweats! 3 a night and mini ones all day. I am going to look at the nervous system part and hydration. Thank you. Hugs to you Eileen!
I just triggered a hot flash due to low blood sugar. I hadn’t eaten anything all day and tried to eat something but after taking a bite I realized it was too late. I got dizzy, vertigo, nauseated, hot and started sweating profusely. I had to lay down and turn the AC down to 60 to get my temperature down or I knew what little food I had wasn’t staying down. I wasn’t able to eat and also got a headache. This seems to be the main type I get. The night or day sweats are minimal, unless I’m fatigued and over stressed while trying to get ready for work. It’s mainly just sweating uncontrollably. Thank goodness no headache, dizziness or nausea.
Thank you for explaining the process to us. You actually explain better than anyone, even doctors Thank you I suffer from hot flashes day and night It’s controlling my life Right now
Glad to be of help Marie! Have you looked at the herb Sage? This is known to help with flushes and sweats and usually works quite quickly. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/sage-tablets-menoforce/ Best Wishes Eileen
* Chilhohood trauma. * Depression, anxiety, tourette's, adhd, ocd...(never got treated) * Self medicating. * Multicultural marriage. * Living abroad 8 years; can't focus enough to learn the language. * Do not own an air conditioner because husband doesn't want one & thinks hot flashes will end soon. * (fill in the blanks)
I've been diagnosed with a condition called POTS(Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome ) So I never know which one is which as this can cause dizziness, fainting and tachycardia. I know hormones are to blame for the worst symptoms as I've landed in the ER with severe tachycardia, and dizziness then started a period a few days following. It's happened too many times for it to be only a coincidence.
What is triggerin night sweats? One moment I am in deep peaceful sleep ...the next momen I am lying in pool of.sweat. I was not anxious nor did I have coffee before going to sleep.
Honestly these Hot flashes have got me crazy Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I wanna scream like a banshee. I tried everything every dam vitamine every herb everything I want harmones I don't care how bad they are I'm totally done with feeling like this and I'm only 50.
Hi Marina, Thank you for your lovely comment! Yes, this can do; unfortunately, excessive sweating can cause dehydration which in turn can affect the nervous system which can then trigger more symptoms so it can become a vicious cycle!
Thank you Eileen. I just turned 41, Can this be perimenopausal? Just started hot flushes with chill later, heat like oven on my back, ear, neck, face like I have been to sauna, super anxious, taken alot of check ups nothing shows medically, this all started in April. I feel nauseated and anxious while the heat is rising and I dont know what to do. Feeling so tired, sick, worried. I had d&c - molar pregnancy in Feb before this happens. My armfit sweat so much which I have not experience before. Trying to calm myself with Escitalopram too. Thyroid are normal, heart, bp are normal except I have gerd. And I suspected premenopausal. Just bought Black Cohosh yesterday after researching reliefs for this. Can I combine Magnesium supplement and Black Cohosh? What else can you recommend?
Hi Dioza Although you are a little young to start the menopause, this can happen for some women. It's often hereditary, so if other close female relatives started around this age then it is possible. Yes, you can take Black Cohosh and magnesium together. Also check that you are drinking plenty of plain water every day and eating little and often as dehydration and low blood sugars can trigger all these symptoms as well! Best Wishes Eileen
What about sudden sweating on the forehead which comes and goes in 5-10 seconds followed by chills during the day? Is it also hot flush or thyroid sensitivity?
Hi Hind This could be caused by a number of factors such as hormonal, stress/anxiety, overactive thyroid or even low vitamin D. It may be an idea to get your thyroid and vit D checked just to rule them out. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi I'm not full menopause but close. The flushes are driving me nuts every 20 /30mins during the day is this normal ? and constantly waking me through the night. I am however under under a tremendous amount of stress. Full time carer to my husband who has advanced stages of parkinsons disease and dementia
Hi Paula We do know that stress can be a huge factor in menopause symptoms so, in this situation, it is vital to support your nervous system first. I would suggest a combination of the herb Maca (a company called Health Aid do a liquid one which I recommend) and a high magnesium supplement, approx. 200mg twice a day with food. You can also add in the sage as this is specifically for flushes and sweats and usually works quite quickly. Also remember to drink loads of plain water; sweats and flushes will dehydrate you very quickly and this in turn will stress the nervous system further making symptoms worse!
You may find a combination of sage and magnesium (150mg twice a day) can be of benefit. Sage is known to help reduce flushes and feelings of doom can often indicate that the flushes are coming from the nervous system and magnesium can be of benefit here. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/sage-tablets-menoforce/
Thanks very much - very helpful and informative. I’m in perimenopause and have hot flashes for about a year. I’ve been wondering about triggers, so this gives me options to try. You mentioned 3 things to calm nervous system - Passiflora (Passionflower) and Vit B complex. What was the other item? Thank you 😊
Magnesium is also really supportive for your nervous system :) Have you tried Menoforce for the hot flushes? Many women find them very helpful! www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/sage-tablets-menoforce/
I'm experiencing something like this started in the chest now my thighs I have low test, high estrogen and osteoporosis my doc has me on meds to lower estrogen and weekly test shots im 25
Thank you for your great work! it is such a wonderful help! I actually never sweat during the night. But during the day I have one sweat attack after the other. This is very embaressing because I am working with clients. Do you think sugar triggers the heat and the sweating?
You're welcome Coeur. Have you thought of trying the herb sage? This is known to help with flushes and sweats and usually works quickly. Best Wishes Eileen
@@AvogelCoUk hello Eileen, I don´t know, if it´s my imagination. But I bought sage this morning and took 3 pills right away. Today I only had 2 flushes and I feel better! I will continue to take the pills and if it stays better or even gets better than this, you have saved my life with your advice to take sage! I don´t have words to tell you how happy I am!
Hi Bina Headaches are common in the menopause and often caused by fluctuating oestrogen levels. You may find Menopause Support helpful, as this is traditionally used to help gently raise and balance oestrogen. It also contains magnesium which is great for muscular tension headaches. Stress and dehydration can also be contributory factors, so make sure that you are drinking plenty of plain water every day. Tea, coffee, and fizzy drinks don't count and are best avoided in the menopause anyway (they can trigger hot flushes in some women). Headaches can, however, be caused by other factors not associated with the menopause, so do get this checked out by your doctor as well.
Hi Lana Although heavy prolonged periods can be quite common on the approach to the menopause, they are not good for you and can quickly cause anaemia. It is wise to consult your doctor as they may be able to give you something to stop the bleeding and also check that other issues such as fibroids, polyps or even a prolapse are not contributory factor. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Some women will experience constant heat rather than flushes or sweats and the herb sage may help with this too. However, other health issues such as an overactive thyroid can also be a trigger so it may be a good idea to ask your doctor to test for this just to rule it out. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Melissa Have you tried the herb sage as this can often help with flushes and sweats? For the cough, you may find a Sea Buckthorn Oil supplement helpful - oestrogen can dry the throat, leading to constant coughing. Remember to drink lots of plain water as this can often help too. Best Wishes Eileen
