I love her practical advice especially regarding domestic violence. The laughter when it comes to violence towards men shows how much social perceptions need to change. A lot of men suffer in silence. It's true that no one was created to make their partner happy. Neither is it their assignment to make them miserable.

At what point should you start going for counsel? Is it only when you have decided to marry the person that u go for counselling? Can one go for counselling even when still in the decision making stage?

Ok. Permit me to lend my voice here and I'll start from the last question. 3. Pls don't go for marriage counselling during the decision stage. It's not called dating counselling for a reason. 2. You go for MC when you have made up your mind to marry the person. Imagine how you'll look to your pastors when you're a student in every MC class🤨 1. From my experience, MC was finished 2 weeks before my wedding day. I've been married 23 years now, and everything I learnt then is still useful. Hope I've helped a bit. May God bless your decision making.

I think it does not hurt to seek counseling when you are deciding to get into courtship. I believe that’s part of mentorship. You can let your mentor know there’s someone who has proposed to you and, of course you are yet to give them a response, just for you to hear what your mentor will say to help you with the decision. Some heartbreaks can be avoided if such route is followed. Having a mentor, and really opening up to that mentor about almost everything going on with you really helps I tell you.
