We first learned of Rainbow Chaser 4-5 years ago and we’ve been smitten with her ever since! She’s a 40’ Chesapeake Bay, Virginia-built deadrise, built in 1986, owned by Shannon Gay. She is similar to hundreds of other workboats on the Bay that harvest crabs, oysters and fish all year long. But that’s where the similarities end because she has a souped-up diesel and this boat really cooks! She’s won many awards at various workboat races held on the Bay. We love her looks, chopped cabin, speed and her trophy-winning reputation. She’s our favorite and we even designed our RC deadrise models to look somewhat like Rainbow Chaser!
