In a lot of dynasties I've played I notice that Notre Dame can have 2 or 3 losses and will be 2nd in the nation while teams like bama could be undefeated and be like 12th

In my dynasties the same thing happens each time: *Ohio State declines to a point where they barely can win 6 games. *Michigan always loses at the end of the year, misses National Championship *Georgia Tech is unbeatable *Somehow a MAC Teams gets one 5-star recruit *Boise State never wins more than 7 games.

I hate the triple option, and qbs break too many tackle

When you go into overtime, and the CPU runs a series and scores, and then they get the ball back again after the P.A.T. and run one play and then the game is over, they get the win, and you dont even get an opportunity to attempt a score. This has happened to me multiple times, and is absolutely frustrating.

I remember I had a Rutgers dynasty and over like 3/4 years we had become a national powerhouse team. Year 4 we were undefeated and faced Iowa on their home field who only were like 3-7. I swear to god they were unstoppable. My star receiver, Jacob Walton was absolutely shut down. Only had like 2 catches. Their defense sniffed out all my plays, the offense had the really fast quarterback and ran every play and my defense could stop him. We lost like 48-31. I was shook. On my dynasty Washington, Notre Dame of course Rutgers, Arkansas and Texas Tech have become powerhouses.

Army ALWAYS gets really good in many of my dynasties

I can only remember Virginia Tech losing Alabama once in the Chick-fil-a kickoff game in the first season out of all of my dynasty's, they ALWAYS beat Alabama when Bama is still good, that and after 2-4 seasons Fresno State always goes 12-0 and makes it to the natty

Speaking about the FIU-effect. One Dynasty I played where I placed Army and Navy in the same conference. Every year these teams played in their conference championship and finished in the top 5. I even think Army one the title one of the seasons.

Something for me on dynasty mode, I sim the defense cuz I dont feel like playing it, but my defense will always give up 50-90 yds rushing a game, but 300-400 yds passing a game. No matter what. My defense can have 99 overall defense backs, and 60 ovr d-line, and it will always turn out like this.

That thing where random games get harder is true, when I was doing an SCLSU Mud Dogs dynasty, anytime we'd be undefeated towards the end of the season, UTSA and UTEP and even Rice would rake us, it got me real pissed off

It's not just Alabama that will decline. A lot of the other traditional powerhouses will finish with four or more losses. While teams like Connecticut, Boise State, a MAC school, a Sunbelt school, or other similar teams will win 9+ games almost every year. It's kind of nice to see these teams at the top for a change except when everyone has two or more losses.

I did a 10 season dynasty with West Virginia, and for some reason we always struggled with Maryland. Despite going 9-1 against Oklahoma in that series. We went 6-5 against Maryland. Even losing to them in the natty in year 6 when they were an 86 overall.

I once had a dynasty where Wyoming, North Texas, Arkansas State, and Navy we’re all in the Top 25, with Wyoming being #1. My cousin and I were using a custom import team ranked at #2 and we beat #1 Wyoming 76-3. We also set the quarters to 15 minutes and had Alabama beat Texas State 319-17.

I hadn’t played 14 in a while and I just started playing, first game on the schedule with my team builder team was either navy or tech I can’t remember, i spent the whole game trying to figure out how to stop it. I found the best thing was to have the guy always focus on the qb so on the triple option, he always gives up the middle and you just cheat with a double a gap blitz and play run up middle. If they do a speed option, just pray someone got through the line on the blitz or else it’s a touchdown.

How do you play DB so well on this game? Every time I have one visit my school, I try to get those bonus points. It doesn't matter what I do, I can't get any deflections, and maybe one INT. Any pointers?

I played a long south Alabama dynasty and I could never beat the Louisiana Lafayette Rajun Cajuns. They would beat me every single time. In my Miami dynasty Alabama and Florida State would always be 99 everything but always be 4-8

In my SC dynasty (where im a top 5 school every year) Arkansas is always unranked yet we always go into OT versus them, they have ended my Natty dreams like 2 outta the last 3 years

I had a dynasty where I was the DC at UMASS and I played Notre Dame, beat them, and they found a way to make it to the National Championship and won.

Mine is San Diego St is always contending for a national title. 3 of the first 5 yrs of my dynasty the won the title and 2 of those were undefeated seasons the other they lost the 1st game.

I just did an FAU dynasty where we finished the season Ranked #3. We went 12-1 and I moved them into the SEC to improve strength of schedule. Ranked number 2, Was 10-2 Georgia who we beat earlier in the year and who didn’t make it to the SEC championship game because FAU won it. You know who was Ranked Number 1: A 9-3 Notre Dame team that lost to FCS earlier in the year.

Whoever the Texas A&M quarterback may be, he is automatically programmed to be a top contender for the heisman in the first season even though he doesn't have a good season. Also I thought the Georgia Tech thing was just me, I went undefeated easily one season and went into triple overtime with them.

This is going to be crazy late but here's a simple fix to the triple option problem. 1) you need to be using 3-4 & 4-4 defense (preferably the ones with an olb rush off the edge) 2) you need to ONLY ever be cover 2 man. Anything other than this will get you killed in 14 3) make your safeties cover the wing backs in man coverage 4) slant the d-line in the direction of the motion This is a strategy that I devised from playing ncaa13 non stop. It gives you a ton of tfl' s which is especially useful against hurry up triple option offenses.

From what I can tell playing for years with the game, if you are a smaller school in a smaller conference, some teams have built in advantages to regularly get 10+ wins per year. The conference gets unbalanced, the continuous quality records, bowl games and rankings for these schools just enhances their recruiting capability to an extreme level. Navy, Air Force, Army, Nevada, Georgia Tech all are trouble after about 10 years of Dynasty.

I was Ranked Number 1 With Michigan and we played 4-7 Maryland...and they killed us. I simulated and it was the first game I simulated that season.

Most of the time when the opponent is in my territory and I catch an interception it will make my drive start in their territory instead of backed up into my own territory

Done over 50 Dynasty’s since the game came out (I get board with teams quick lol) and Army, FIU and New Mexico St always contend for Nattys after like 3 years. Also maybe it’s me but I’m triple option I can pitch the ball getting tackled upside down and the RB catches it but pitching to an open clean field ahead RB will drop the pitch. Lastly I’ve had multiple dynasty’s that 3 loss teams play for a natty which blows my mind

I play on heisman difficulty everything and I don’t have that hard of a time breaking bug runs. My dynasty right now with Old Dominion has been going on for at least ten seasons and I’ve had my 99 overall RB & QB break big runs a couple times in just the season I’m in now. And I’m only about 4 or 5 games into the season

Played a Dynasty as Memphis for 8 seasons and here are some of the things I noticed: 1. It is nearly impossible to recruit certain position groups early on, including OL, and LB, while other positions are far too easy to recruit, like CB and ATH 2. Agreeing with what everyone else said in these comments, GA Tech becomes a massive powerhouse for whatever reason. 3. Air Force running backs always compete for the Heisman just based on the sheer amount of carries they get. 4. The game is simply too easy. I play on Heisman difficulty with the CPU sliders significantly boosted. At first it is competitive, I went 8-5 in my first season with a loss in the Russell Athletic Bowl. After this point, once I started getting my recruits in, I don’t think I lost more than 2 games in a season for the rest of the Dynasty. I’m still messing with the sliders to try and achieve competitive gameplay for multiple seasons. 5. The offseason training is predictable. Ideally, only some of the players would have improved 4-6 overall points, not every player. Realistically, there should be some players bumping up 10 points while others should receive little to no boost at all. I wish it were more based on their production from the previous season, not just random as it seems to be now. 6. This doesn’t happen often, but there have been a couple of seasons where I am checking all of the Conference Standings and I see that two teams have only played 11 games in the regular season. I am not sure if this is because of my adjusting conferences and schedules, but just something I noticed. 7. The SEC divisions basically flip in power. Right now, the SEC West is predominantly thought of as the better division, but in the game, Bama and Auburn always fall off and the East begins to regain power. Teams like Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida always seems to succeed. 8. It is nearly impossible to retain your coordinators after a good season. I guess this holds true to real life, as successful coordinators often leave for Head Coaching jobs, but it’s usually after a few years with their program as a coordinator. All in all, I have a tremendous amount of fun playing this game and it has absolutely held its value over time. I can’t even play madden anymore because the gameplay in this game is so much better. My Memphis Tigers, in season 8, finally completed an undefeated 14-0 season after 2 National Championship losses in the previous 3 years. I am hoping IMV gaming is able to release their new concept game soon because we would finally have something on the Next Gen systems #BringBackGreatness

Late comment but I play the option how I was coached to and it usually works. In adjustments set it so you take the QB, then either have a iLB blitz or user a safety to play the pitch man

Service academies are always in the national championship hunt after 2 to 3 seasons. And it’s always random. I played a dynasty with Mississippi State where Navy went 2-10 one season and then the next they went 13-0 (winning the American) and playing us for the national championship. One time I had Army go 0-12 and then the following year make the fiesta bowl at 11-1

If you're running an offense that isn't option, your first pitch of the season will be fumbled. I've just got the game but it happened in an offline season with Wisconsin, and offline dynasty's with southern miss and unlv. I was running pro style with Wisconsin and air raid in the other two

I'm playing a Tulane dynasty right now in year 3 on revamped with a 94 overall team and 72 overall North Texas took me to 6 overtimes in the first game of the season. I managed to pull it out but it took everything out of me lol. The next game I blew out a 5th ranked LSU 63-10. This game makes no sense sometimes.

All these are true another thing I noticed is that Army basically has taken over Alabama’s spot of being a power house in the last two or three dynasty’s.

Okay, legit weirdest thing ever happened to me, though. I use the default roster in Dynasty, and every single one I do, there is a Freshman WR, 99 Ovr, For Kent State that just goes balls out and leads the country in everything. Kent doesn't do good, but he'll have like 1500+ yards and like 11 TD. But, It gets weirder. That player has the EXACT SAME NAME as my best friend, and The player is at Kent, which was one of the 2 colleges he was Considering. I sent him the picture of the player and it was the creepiest thing.

I always played with UGA on NCAA 14 against people until they made me quit (cause i owned them). Then i switched up to the little brother and played as GT and would beat folks when they were playing with the best teams on the game. I loved playing with Southern Miss in Dynasty mode recruited two sick MLBs that ended up having dreads in my 3-4 scheme they were both 3 stars but played like 5 stars. Won the national championship three times in 4 seasons without quitting one game that was probably my best dynasty. My favorite dynasty was Marshall though It took me 4 solid seasons to win the natty with Marshall. I always scheduled my out of conference games against the best opponents and would beat them then lose to an in conference opponent that was garbage it cost me my season 3 times in a row before i won with Marshall.

Coaches. When I notice a jump in competition compared to the ratings. Most of the time, the team has a high level coach with the perks unlocked

Run a 5-2 or 4-4 to help stop the triple option, once they’re down they’ll panic and try passing the ball more, once they change their personnel change yours to a 4-3 or 4-2-5/nickel

Speaking of that random difficulty mentioned at 5:52 I was playing as UTEP in Dynasty mode, and I had a harder time playing North Texas and New Mexico State, but mopping the floor with #2 Washington in the National Championship Game.

Run a multiple defense. Then select the 4-4 zone blitz. This will stop the option most of the time. Also, I just experienced a tough team Navy team.

I do a Pitt dynasty and demolish GT yearly. With their motion you can call the run to either side and stifle their offense.

For the speed to matter. You have to put the player min speed threshold lower. It does make a difference if you have fast players. And for the option running teams try the 5-2 defense.

I schedule GT every year in my dynasty just so I can give them 1 loss, because they literally do not lose simulated games. They go 12-1 every year and win the ACC title, so unless someone else goes undefeated, I still end up playing them in the Natty. In a previous dynasty, I was in the ACC Coastal (Miami) so I got to play them and beat them every year and keep them out of the ACC title game, and even still I would sometimes play them in the Natty. It's ridiculous how much the game loves Georgia Tech. Also: Troy is always good, Bama is always a 6-7 win team, when you create recruits they always have North Texas and Georgia State on their lists, bullet passes are easily intercepted by the computer but they always drop lob passes, the SEC title game is always won by the team with fewer regular season wins, if you put Army and Navy in the same conference they won't play their game at the end of the season like it should be, and finally...I played a Week 5 game at Ole Miss where it was snowing, but didn't play a single home game in the snow in like 10 seasons at Minnesota.

Well, I've had way too many dynasties from 2 games. 2011 and 2014. In 2011, Navy and Troy would always upset people and became good because of it. In 2014, UConn, Purdue, Wake Forest, and Ohio are all perennially good

Against triple option teams, I typically run 3 linebacker blitzes out of 3-3-5, with the d-ends switched to contain and the middle linebacker as a spy. That works well for me, since my d-ends typically make the quarterback give the ball to the halfback, so he can run directly into my linebackers and d-tackle. I beat Air Force and Navy in consecutive National Championships using that defense. I think what helps me is the speed of my defense. I rarely, if ever, recruit defensive players with less than 80 speed unless they're defensive linemen, and my middle linebacker currently has 89 speed (not including coordinator bonuses). Right now, my current slowest defensive starter is my 72 speed defensive tackle and everyone else has 80+ speed.

Yeah, it's weird how sometimes crappy teams have their CPU on god mode. I almost lost a game to Wyoming as a built up 6 star CSU team that was rated 20 points higher overall than them (they were still in the MWC, and I moved to the PAC-12 but kept scheduling them as a rivalry game). Shit, one time I was struggling against a FCS team for the first half with that same team lol

In dynasty you can be a 3x AA, Thorpe award winner, with a national championship win, and somehow you’re not selected to leave early for the nfl. But a non starter will opt to go pro a year early. Just not realistic.

Ya your right about the game speed. Love this game. I always find Washington St or Ohio st in the championship game. An Ohio st on any difficulty is a pain. My friends that are new or hate playn football I make them play on easy. Win an makes u feel good. But against Ohio St they never just let u win. Throw up 40 points with ease lol. Incredible.

I dont seem to have any issues with GT and service academy style option teams. I run a 3-4 and recruit the line and backers decently and its not too big of an issue.

Georgia Tech ruined my National Championship hopes two years in a row in Revamped. They’re a powerhouse. Whipped that ass this year though.
