If you change it to "FRAME" before you hit track, it'll stop each time it fails so you can readjust it. It's easier. Let me know if you gave it a try. ;)

I would like an effect where you have a piece of string lowering some text from top of screen to the centre with the text spinning as it comes down then finally the text stops spinning and the string disappears. Are you up for this challenge Billy ? By the way I love your explanations they are so easy to follow and you deliver the content with such enthusiasm, :-)

Maybe mention the key combination for those who don't have a middle mouse button, or use a Mac mouse? Also can you please zoom in for CU of detailed interface tasks. People watching on a TV or mobile device can't see the detail unless you zoom in. Thanks for great tips. Subscribed!

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to keyframe multiple masks on the same clip. I'm trying to animate two masks on the same clip. Any suggestions? Thanks for the vid. You make great tutorials.

A tip to speed up Resolve if it is running a little slow. Open Task Manager -> Goto Details tab -> right click over resolve.exe -> Select Set Prioty -> change it to High.

Where's the black bar overlay? Do you provide it for free? I know I can do it on my own but I'm lazy. :) And what does the "alpha output" actually do? I've seen other video tutorials that require that for effects, but have never understood why it's necessary.

It basically gives an output for an alpha layer which is basically transparency.

Option 1, check if the volume on the middle right is enabled, and the speaker is green and not red. Option 2, make sure that the A button on your audio track is enabled before putting your clip in. Option 3, turn on the audio and video link.

Hey Billy how are you my good man! Hey I have a small question for you on a little problem I’m having. Whenever I select the pen tool then try to mask something out the pen tool is only giving me a small white dot! The white line that’s suppose to connect from dot to dot is not visible! I'm in problem with masking, Can anyone answer to do multi masking using a single node?, I wanna mask alphabets such as A, B, I does well job in masking outside of alphabet, but my internal mask doesn't affect external ones, Thus it becomes hard for me to cut masks from inside in davinci resolve. There's not even a video about cutting a mask from inside, and if you did, that would help me a lot.

How do you do a click time freeze in davinci? Where you ‘pause’ a subject in the clip while everything continues around it. I’ve seen videos of it done in fcpx, but nothing in davinci.

I just don't see how this mask works. Trying the reveal as it's the closest thing that you have to what I need. I've looked EVERYWHERE to find a simple mask learning video where one imported jpeg crosses over another jpeg and is actually set correctly behind the window frame that is in the jpeg. No matter whose video I look for, nobody has this that I can find. Why does Davinci make it so hard to have an object that is masked to be correctly hidden behind a brick wall and come out when needed instead of showing up in the front of the wall and being shown in the whole video when it's not supposed to be shown? Should be simple layering but that does not work either. Do you have any videos for this issue?

I have a problem adjusting the frames between 'green screen' clip and gameplay clip. I want to slow down the speed of that GS clip to sync with my game play clip. If you talk about that. Hey! I've been struggling with Da Vinci on two masks in one frame. In the shot, the girl has a mask on her face and one on her hand (the skin we can see). But then she wipes a tear from her face and the hand mask completely fucks up as the hand gets into the face mask. Also, her hair is all over the place and it makes very complicated for me to create a good mask around her face (the t-shirt is nearly the same colour). Then last, I'm not sure of how to use the "colour graber pointer thing" for the mask twice in one image, for two different masks. Could you please help me out, maybe I'll try to explain myself better ahah

DaVinci Resolve UI is heaven! I feel like I wasted my time in Adobe but! the way of saving project are disaster! a deal breaker! I'm really sad that after finding what I wanted it's in the end horrible in the way saving projects! why all these complications?! why it's not saving the project like most editors apps like for example Adobe premiere pro?! it's really an agony knowing this!

Billy love your videos and your enthusiasm. Have a pet peeve: there is no such number as point eighteen. And I know it is 18/100’s but you didn’t say point eighteen hundredths, besides that would be redundant. Point one eight is the correct way. Every digit after the point has to be pronounced. 12.345 you wouldn’t say “twelve point three hundred forty five”. Likewise 12.08 would be twelve point zero eight. Keep it up brah. Aloha.
