As a beginner, this might be the best video I stumbled across. Most vids advocate a side on but I found I was already off balance and fighting the waves. This into the wind and then twisting 90 is a game changer. Thanks dude! I’d love to see some more tip vids from you.
Crucial tip which is a must : never flip the wing when on the board but before, in the water flipping the ear of the wing, much easier. When on on the board on knees is the unstable moment, I try make it as short as possible. I flip the wing in the water, grab the board, get on my knees and as fast as possible put the wing in the air to get stability then up and take off ! 🤙🏻
Yes man, sharing the knowledge! Getting on those smaller boards can definitely be a tricky thing to master in the beginning. I see how well the leg thing works for you and some other riders, unfortunately this is something that doesn't work for me. But keeping the center of gravity low to the water and twisting the 90 degrees to the wind have been game changers for me! Looking forward to the next video!
I would suggest starting with at least a 110L board if you’re starting from zero. But as it’s been 6 months since you asked, I’m sure you have progressed a lot!🤙
