5 Days in 5 minutes! Winter Fly Fishing

I'm fly fishing for sea run brown trout on the south Swedish coast. I camp on the beach for five days. I'm using a tent with a tarp over the tent. I've edited the video down to just a few action packed minutes.

I'm using a Insta360 ONE X2 camera for the first time so I was really curious about what it was going to look like.
I've attached the camera to my back in a quite strange looking way. But i got some pretty interesting angles with it. The camera is on a stick, the stick becomes quite "invisible" since it's very straight.
I also try to film with the Insta360 ONE X2 camera under water.
I also show you how i usually take GoPro pictures of the fish i catch. It's very easy and quick and the fish can be held under water during the whole process.

As a dane i am utterly envious of the outdoor opportunitets you have! We are not allowed to put up tents anywhere in the country on the beach, and it is only allowed in marked forrest areas, where the tent must also be so well hidden, that it cannot be seen by anyone passing by, except if they walk into the woods. Also, we are not allowed to stay more than 1-2 nights - then we must relocate. I truely wish for Denmark to become inspired by the way our neighbooring countries do things in regards to outdoorlife and nature in general.

yeah the swedish "every mans right" is petty good. Actually were allowed to camp for "a few nights" not exactly two or three. The reason is so the tent doesn't damage the plants. So if I camp on the beach and I don't feel like I'm intruding or disturbing I don't even bother count how long I'll stay^^. I really hope Denmark will become less strict, the outdoorsy type of people that wants to camp in tents is usually the type that leaves no trace anyhow.

@@outdooroskar1257 We are planning to come sea trout fishing in south sweden, if we can because of corona in the second half of march. That's why I wanted to see how the fishing is in winter. You're pretty tough camping 5 days at these temperatures, you really got the virus bad:-)

@@franzschafer5079 hmm, yes late march or april is usually a better time to come for sea trout. However, Sweden is VERY risky, luckily I don't work, visit any shops and live with my parents atm. We order our food online and just staying home until we get the vaccine, have done since I came back to sweden in October. The only time I take a drive to anywhere is when I go fishing and camping, and I don't talk to anyone when I'm fishing so fishing is a safe hobby I think ;) Just buy all the food in your country, go fish and camp for a few days, have an awesome time and drive back a few days or a week later🤙

Thank you Chris! Yeah sometimes it feels like people just make their videos far too stretched out because that's what RU-vid wants. Sure, my video won't be recommended to a lot of people, but the people that do find it will hopefully like it👍

Thank you!, YES i forgot to mention my audio gear sorry. i use an external audio recorder. And i love it, definitely the most important piece of "youtube gear" i have. It's a 'zoom H1n' and i use it with a lavalier mic. I've used 'Rode lavalier Go' before. (it broke in saltwater, my bad) now i have a lavalier mic that costs just 1/4 of the previous one, and the sound quality seems just as good. It's a 'Boya by-m1'. 👌

Great video and nice content, 2 questions the thermal trousers you had the silver ones are the homemade or purchased and the landing net/stripping basket where do you purchase them, I to do a lot of cold water sea trout fishing here in Ireland 🇮🇪 and think they would be a great peace of kit, tight lines 🎣🐟👍🏻

1.The thermal layer is something really cheap, easy to make and works as a good insulating layer. It's one piece of "car front windscreen insulation" or "Car windshield heat reflective sunshade". Anyways, that thing is cut in half and i use one half on each leg. 2. The Line-Net is just a net that I've bent to fit around my waste, then filled the sides with some slices of foam sleeping pad material (to float). Then I added a handle that have a good shape for the gopro- mount to grab, for a quick photo. It's actually quite easy to make the Line-net, the tricky part is to bend the metal without breaking it. Of coarse when the metal breaks one can repair that part by fitting a nail in the center and duct tape it. 👍

Thanks! Yeah some of the scenes are made with the Insta360 ONE X2. Quite fun camera, lots of new things to learn in the editing of that footage though. However when i learn properly it fels like there's no limits to the possibilities with it :D
