This is the right plan, take multi entry Georgia visa is okay. You can also stay in tbilisi the day you arrive to take rest and familiarize yourself with Georgia.

I am assuming cancelled means rejected. I would suggest you fix the rejection reason and can reapply, Alternatively take help from portal like Akbar travel or Atlys.

to be honest, if you have all the proofs and honest intent, i don't think there should be any issue. The problem is some of our Indian fellows go there and never come back and become illegal immigrant and people like us who actually want to travel face issues. If you have all the proofs and sufficient funds, i don't think there should be any issue.
