The common concensus is that imperial saints are demons of the emperor, but they are still not referenced to as demons in all cases

Guilliman is now a living saint, he became one when he was resurrected by the emperors power and burned the garden if nurgle

Guilliman did NOT die on Iax. He was deathly injured by Mortarion's Silence and the Godblight - But he did NOT die. The EoM repaired his Armor of Fate and regenerated his wounds (cleansing the Godblight). That is all! Even had Guilliman died - He STILL would NOT be a living saint - As Guilliman does NOT believe in the EoM like the Living Saints do! Guilliman is full and well an atheist! He was completely disgusted by the Ecclesiarchy - But as there are MORE troubles in the Imperium then that of the Worship of his father in 40k - He has left them alone for now! Guilliman fought to try and eradicate religion during the HH (as his father had done)!

One could argue that they’ve always been demons because their souls are tied to the warp. Not everything from the warp is evil and likewise not all demons are bad.

@@CourtneyRoberts1982 That isn't really true. 1) The Warp IS the Sea of Souls... All souls are tied to it! 2) Not all things in the Warp are Daemon. There are a multitude of differing things that live within it! 3) You are correct that not everything in the warp is evil however! The Primarch's are Daemon-Bound Warp Entities that the EoM was given by the Warp Gods in a "deal" that he made with them - And then betrayed. Consider: Ferrus/Horus clones (lifeless husk), Ferrus/Alpharius dying (explosions of light), Ferrus's soul (talking to his sons from the warp promising his return), etc The ONLY clone that has EVER been made successful is that made of Fulgrim made by Fabius (Fabius Bile: Clonelord). No reason is given as to why this was a success - But Trazyn the Infinite has him now.

It is old lore speculation that the millenia of worship has turn at least some part of the Emperor into a warp deity. As a warp deity, he has the ability to make subordinate warp beings, aka "demons", that are the Imperial saints.

It’s already established in the lore not all demons are bad. And yes, any being his soul is tied to the warp is technically a demon. That means the living saints are demons, the Primarchs are demons, etc..

Mortals soul's go to the god they worshipped in this life. A lifetime bonds their soul to the god whose will they do. A lifetime actualising their god's will through their own lives, along with fuelling and indulging the emotion of that god, connects and glues their soul to that god's essense forever. So when they die, their bonded soul goes to that god in the warp to become their immortal, eternal servant. Whether they lived a life of violence and hate, spreading destruction and are bonded to Khorne; lived a life of ambition and learning, spreading change and are bonded to Tzeentch; lived a life of despair and decay, spreading disease and are bonded to Nurgle; lived a life of pleasure and exhilaration, spreading conceit and are bonded to Slannesh....or lived a life of obedience and loyalty, spreading his order and are bonded to the Emperor...all become their demons: their eternal servants.

Souls can be snatched upon death look into lore about the Eldar and Slaanesh and you will see they closely guard their souls because they will be snatched up on death. If they’re lucky, the elder laughing God will snatch it before Slaanesh but it’s not guaranteed. Who they worship in life matters not what happens after death. Only if the divine seek to intervene will the soul go where the divine will it.

The only appeal or mystique or value as a faction of the sisters of battle is that they were on the right side as far as the emperor. After torturing that child girl and not being able to realize she was a vessel of the emperor, they are just a more dumb inquisition and the custodes have superceeded and eclipse them in every possible lore value. Maybe that is why they have nothing in lore? They are worthless now.
