You should put cardboard under the shirt that you paint so that it won't go through the other side and at the same time I'll be a hard material not like the napkin, so it's easier to paint on it :)
even though i love the song “boys don’t cry”, i also LOVE the message you’re sending out by crossing out the “don’t”!! those who know the song will still get it, but alot of ppl dont know the song and they can get something out of it too!!
If the paint on the back for the first shirt bothers you, you could try covering it up with black fabric paint maybe? There are only a few splotches of paint so you probably wouldn’t even need that much! Use cardboard in between the shirt to prevent it from bleeding :)
Maybe next time, you could make a stencil by printing the image on a heavier weight paper and using an craft knife to cut the image out. You can seal the cut edges with paint/nail polish/glue, so the stencil gives a cleaner edge. In the end, you are able to recreate any block-color style image that you can print 😊
