Have been watching stolen shorts of you for a while now. I’m so glad I found your channel. You’re an absolute master behind the kit, and god does that kit sound perfect!
@@ThatSwedishDrummer Hey man thanks for the response:)! So I couldn’t exactly pin it to what the channel is. But I used to just scroll though my shorts, and fills and chops would show up from this channel. Only had very few likes, usually no comments. It was 100% not your channel. But it was your drums and style of playing.
@@keenancrowder5782 aah I get it! Either someone maybe did a remix of one of my videos or someone illegally downloaded it from my other channel (30sec Drum Lessons). Happens a lot😅 Thanks for watching tho, mate! I appreciate it 👊🔥
Really Really REALLY dig your stuff dude. My approach to grooves & I guess overall “style” is very similar to yours. So when I found your shorts in my feed I started watching em all the time. The way you break down everything REALLY helps as I’m not a good reader but practice stuff through repetition. Anyway, I just wanna say I really appreciate you. You’re giving me lots of useful things to incorporate into my playing & making me a better drummer. Much thanks to you from Tampa, Fl! 🙏
Your kind words mean a lot to me, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoy my content and it's fun to hear about your progress! Keep up the good work, mate, and don't hesitate to comment about what you'd like to see on this channel. Cheers! 🙏
Awesome video!! I like these fills because the concepts in them can be used to create more fills, such as implementing the use of the hi-hat in fill #2
CJ are you still taking request for your next cover? Mate it would be an intoxicating experience to watch you cover Bostons foreplay/long time. Off their debut album. The intro is awesome. I have confidence in your abilities. Although feel noone else will suggest this cut. No rush I'm hooked on your channel. Not budging anywhere. Think about it my man!
Hi! I really like your vidz! I´m now in a punk band after years of no drumming ( i passed on bass guitar side 😅) Well, it has always been a problem for me but now it´s even bigger... the fast doubles on kick! No need to say that i need it for punk 🤟😵 Anytime you have good tips to work on it? Otherway, i enjoy working on your grooves and fills, that makes me more confident 😎👍 Keep doing that i´ll be there too
Thanks, Marc! I'm glad you enjoy my content. If you wanna get better bass drum precision, hopefully this lesson can help you out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6KdtF98y9Ew.html
@@ThatSwedishDrummer It's got a lot of funky elements that I try to bring to my own beats. Once I can play 32nd notes more fluidly I'll really be able to benefit from your videos! Something that I've been doing lately is throwing open high hats in odd places. Its tough but it adds so much dimension to a simple beat and it's awesome !
Love your videos. Great job of breaking down the fills and making it fun as you are demonstrating them. I'm learning a lot from you. What do you use for drum notation software?
I absolutely love your videos! You're such an awesome player and educator!! What is your cymbal setup in this vid? I want to get some Paiste but can't decide on which lines, they have so many good ones
Thank you so much, Veronica! I’m humbled by your kind words. You can check out my full setup in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BYPsFnnBDrQ.html And depending on your budget and what sound you want, I can really recommend the different Signature series and the Masters series. If your budget is a tad tighter, the 900-series sounds phenomenal at their price range.
I'd love to! Do you mean the groove I'm playing at the end of "The Leg Burner" or the groove I'm playing during "Attack of the Triplets"? :) Can you put a time stamp where the groove is?
Try it out and see for yourself! The flow won't sound completely the same, since you're using two pedals with different power. (you always have a weaker limb)
