This year in my Troop we decided on starting a Merit Badge each month. About half is introduced in the Troop Meeting and the other half is the responsibility of each Scout independently. So far we have Chess, Art, and Indian Lore. I will definitely look at Fingerprinting, Railroading, Collections, Graphic Arts, and Pets as potential future badges.Thank you.
Hey I just got tenderfoot last night and I’m starting to need to earn merit badges thank you for the video it will help me get some merit badges fast to rank up faster
Some of the longer Eagle badges to earn are Personal Management and Family Life. Camping has about half the requirements in ranks up to 1st class but the rest requires lots of planning on campouts.
I came back here after I made my own video about merit badges. I will definitely attempt a few of these badges.Other badges that I was told were easier (not 3 moths long) to pick up and mostly accomplished already in school were Reading, Music, Scholarship, and Athlete.
I have authored three books containing merit badge requirements. These books will assist the scout and merit badge counselor to achieve the desired merit badge. The books can be obtained on amazon or at the local library. They are WEATHER by Jack Fleming, GEOLOGY by Jack Fleming, and BEACHES (for the Oceanography badge) by Jack Fleming.
Great video--- I'd just like to say that it says you may not use anything from Pets for another badge- I see this as- It's ok to use the same dog, except you are not allowed to overlap the 2 month period for dogcare with the 4 month period for pets.
