will these slide guitar lead guitar licks work for a song called "honky tonk woman" by Rolling stones if i play this in open G tuning and use a glass slide and play slide guitar to my backing track in original key of G major ?

No rhthm, no music. Put these "licks" in context. Put them within time. Yes, these figures are very blues cliche. No problem. But put them within a context of rhythm, of tempo. By learning these things without that context, you will have your students changing when they are not supposed to change. You must get your time together.
