I actually did this for a little under the lower - I was able to do so by calling in a favor with a friend to use his loft . I personally took everything out , used my own chairs I rented and set up a projector and had a movie night theme where after we had music videos playing . This theme allows for us to do movie theater food on a cheaper budget . I added a walking taco bad , a candy bar , a pop corn bar with butter and flavorings , and nachos . And bought a red curtain from Amazon for a photo booth in the hall. (Ring light and balloons)
I am having a simple Back yard party 🎉 in July for my birthday. Gonna keep it low key but still fun since we have enough space to Accommodate 15 - 20 folks in the backyard. Hoping for excellent weather; we’ll cook simple foods & Salads since it’s Summertime 😍. Keeping my budget @ $300 bucks ; mainly food & 🍺. It’s possible to have A great low cost party . Love the great Tips 💯💯🎉🎉
We had the best birthday graduation party ever for our daughter. I followed you very clear and excellent advise and you one on what not to do for a party. Everything looked great. Everybody had a great time. I am now subscribed to your channel. Just starting to like to have parties in my 60’s. People Covid tested before and after. Everyone good. It is a amazing thing to see family in person with hugs after so much isolation the past two years. Thank you, you gave me a good plan and confidence to pull it off. Keep on making your you tube videos. Life is more fun with folks like you in the world!
I love what you said about decoration, if the venue is pretty nice/set up no need to go all out. (Which is how mine is) the venue itself is gorgeous. So I’ll focus more on the table!!
Since we discovered it last year we had Vapshot alcohol mist machine on both of our parties! It was such fun with shots in balloons ,everybody loved it!
I’m planning my 30th birthday so last minute and you have saved me !! I don’t drink so I wasn’t so open to the idea of buying alcohol they was gone have mocktails 😂
Loved this and the what not to do videos, thank you for sharing! Also please post more party planning stuff you are a joy to listen to and see your recommendations 😊. Hope you're well!
Very helpful tips. I’m planning my 65 th birthday party on a Friday night with a Dj at a venue with 100 guest invited. I’m stuck on what to do for entertainment for my guest I like the name game , e.g my favorite xyz… any other suggestions?
My birthday is in May I'm planning a party not to big. The max of people will be 5 to 6 people it wouldn't make since of renting out a venue. I'm use the basement.
I have a similar issue with my birthday plans. My birthday is during spring break for many, so they typically have plans. You could have a New Years party and let them know well in advance so that your party can be their plans. :) ...Or have it earlier.
So I am planning my 50th bday party which is costing me $7500. I told the owner i would like to see what my set up is going to be like and she said it will cost me $250 for her to do that! Now that does not make any sense to me. I have to pay her $250 for a $7500 event I am paying you for? Is this normal??
We done this for my dauaughters 21st birthday meal, long time ago as she is 40 in February 22, the guests were happy to pay for their own meal it was the being together and celebrating that was important 😊
This is common for people who are trying to cut costs and/or just to offer up a place & time to get together with friends. I typically just go and pay for my meal (and the bday person’s meal sometimes too), but it’s up to you if you’re down to join. Good luck! ❤️
Yeah, it's so normal not to, especially if the rest of the party is gonna be lame, like just say you're broke or it's a fundraiser😒. If you're not all that close to the person being celebrated, then they shouldn't expect a lot of people to come because your guests are bringing gifts so you should try to treat them well. At the same time whoever is throwing the party usually goes out of their way with planning so it would be nice to make their efforts worth it.
