On July 12, 2024, I decided to make a run to Palgrave to film a couple of trains. Originally I was going there to film CPKC 105 with CP 7020 but it never came and 105 had a different engine leading. Today I was joined by @CPKCMax for the 3rd day in a row and & @CP-Lisa. Go subscribe to them!
It was quite a day filming not only 113, but 420 had a three engine lead with a double DPU. Very rare that trains have double DPUs. 112 had CP 8005 leading with a weird horn and an early 105 came around 7 pm with CP 8740 leading. After all of us left, a late 421 came with 101 20 minutes behind it.
I made a mistake in the video with 105. It’s not from Montreal, it originates in Vaughan.
Here’s the story line, 113 took the Baxter siding to meet 420 and 112. 420 was already holding the mainline and 112 was in Essa at that time. Both southbounds came to meet 105 at elder. 105 departed Vaughan 25 minutes later and had one of the weirdest northbound intermodal trains I’ve ever seen. Manifest at the front, then all intermodal and only had two engines on the train.
