My ex assaulted me multiple times in the past 4 years. Threatened to kill herself and threaten to kill my friends. I have all of this on video. She was arrested for domestic assault I did not press charges. The state of Colorado press charges on her due to the injuries on me and cuts. She went to jail for a few days and the state of Colorado put a protective order on me. Last week I was served with a restraining order from her as retaliation for this. Even though I begged the DA not to press charges. After 4 years of abuse I am now in court defending myself against all of her lies. I can't believe I'm in this position. My heart is broken I just want to say thank you so much for your videos. You are giving me hope that I can win this I wish I could hire you to represent me. I'm terrified. I have never had to defend myself in court and my entire life and I'm 54
None of this makes sense tbh. If YOU were the victim, no judge on the planet is going to issue her a restraining order against you. This doesn't check out as truthful
Hi Veronica. My husband lied on me and said I pointed my gun at him. My gun was put up during the altercation the police didn't find it. I have a no contact order and since then he's texted me saying he misses a lot because I put him out and wouldn't let him come back to my house. He showed the police text messages and then called me and apologized for everything is what he said but he didn't say anything about the lie he told. My lawyer has the voicemail and text messages. Do you think I'll be exonerated
@symonsays6711 Thank you so much. We were supposed to go to trial back in December but it was continued and I was told by our friend my ex was scared to testify because he knows he lied . I don't think he's gonna show up knowing he lied and my lawyer told his he was contacting me. That to me is contradictory My gun was put up the police didn't find it

He broke up with me after he beat me up and then got mad that I helped him pack his stuff. He thought I was going to beg for him to stay like I did every other day for a year. Beat me up more and destroyed my house, hacked my phone and security system, and put a tracker on my cars fuel tank and took a sledgehammer to my phone. If I hurt his feelings I think he’s even at this point and why is he stalking me and waving guns outside of venues he thinks that I’m at. It’s been over 6 months and I just want it to stop. I just bought my home and I’m stuck in this mortgage for 23 more years. The police won’t do anything and he keeps slipping away to quick for a protection order to be served. And now he’s in a racist gang attacking my old places of work because both of those bosses were black. Sometimes I just wish I had stayed I think the fear of knowing what’s gonna happen is not as bad as not knowing what’s going to happen. At least I’d know what I’m in for instead of hiding and not being able to find a job because I’m so terrified to leave my house. I just want him to stop. I’m hoping he shows up for a court date in two days (no idea what the court date is for it’s not for me) so they can serve him the order of protection. If they serve him I’m finally going to press charges and I have no idea what to expect. My attorney said it’s $3k up front and like $150 an hour idk what that means or what I’m going to have to spend I’m so overwhelmed. But I have photos and still have the objects he destroyed I’ve saved all of them even the phone he smashed with the sledgehammer. It’s all put together in a timeline spanning incidents from a year ago. And the photos of all the bruises from throwing me onto the floor repeatedly. Is there any point though is there actually a chance I could win this? I just can’t imagine the backlash I’d get from losing and him not going away forever
That is unfortunately very common. If you’re in CA, I recommend having an attorney contact the prosecutor before court. The prosecution typically knows that the cops arrest first and ask questions later (if at all), and they may choose to drop the case after seeing the text messages.
@@veronicatbartonesq I'm in TX. I haven't been arrested and still in the pre-warrant process. My attorney said he wanted to see what was on the statement before he shared my evidence
