Lol the “Usted” and “Tu” part depends on how you get along with your parents. Im Mexican and I do say Tu to mine but there’s many others that refer to them as “Usted” it just depends. :)
I hate how they think that because the ones in their friend group say it differently than the rest of Mexico, they’re automatically correct and everyone else is wrong 😂 Most Mexicans refer to older people de “usted” and not de “tu”
actually, it's not even Mexicans, Salvadorians or whoever that use "usted" or "tu". Everyone knows that you have to use "usted" out of respect for older people. It's not a race thing but it's okay maybe he just didn't know lol.
EXACTLY! It’s being respectful, that part annoyed me for some reason. Growing up with Mexican parents I was always taught to say “usted.” It’s formal towards the older and elder people. Saying “tu” is informal so I would just say that around cousins, friends, siblings.
Us Mexicans do say usted too but it’s more like a respectful way. Tu is used more because we’re too comfortable not because we don’t respect though. If you know what I mean lol

Tbh I was having such a sad and tiring day but ur vid made me forget about that, I appreciate it. And tbh the pink mom fooled me in the beginning but until u told her to dance cumbia… I was like naaahhh she ain’t Mexican. Cuz my dad Puéblano and everyone from there is heavy on that and know how to dance it. So when I saw her I was like nooo she not Mexican I was cheering for her lmaooo I was like “hell yea my publana knowwwwssss” till the dancing part 🤣
