I love this format- looking at the outfit formulas brought the garments to life that will definitely take me back to my Seamwork pattern library!! Watching the video has given me some inspiration for the Design Your Wardrobe series that starts soon. Thanks so much!
I really like this format, extremely helpful and I can say Ive already chosen several patterns for my autumn/winter wardrobe from your selection today. Thank you so much for the "round up". May I suggest that it would be a really nice idea to have the outfits modelled rather than showing them on the hangers or on the manniquiin please? Nothing beats seeing the patterns made up and worn to get a true picture as the model moves and turns etc. Again, I found this video very informative and I look forward to further videos in due course. xx
Really helpful .I agree it would be nice to see the clothes modelled. It would be great to show them on all figures, from slim + .Could you please let me know what pattern the cream blouse your wearing is.
Thank you so much for this! This was an extremely useful video for me. Figuring out a cohesive outfit can sometimes be challenging for me, and I really appreciate seeing the pairings of the Seamwork patterns to fit the outfit formulas. I especially liked seeing the patterns in Haley’s hands and on the mannequins, to see how everything fit and draped. It definitely inspired me! Time to get to work with my personal croquis and plan some makes!
Thanks. I have a difficult time knowing which top looks good with which bottom. I have a short upper body and long legs with a high boxy hip, so I can't quite get an idea of what to put together, but I feel that these combinations will work for me. I was planning on making small capsule wardrobes based on groupings of clothing like you just put together and I think this helped a lot. Please put together more of these pairing videos.
This was a GREAT way to see many patterns paired together. And provides the inspiration for my upcoming Design Your Wardrobe class! I've been sad that summer is coming to an end, but the sweaters and jackets in your video will make this transition into fall "sew" much easier! Love it! ❤
Great video! I think about outfit formulas for my wardrobe, but I never would have thought of some of these pattern combinations. Is there an article or post with a little more information on the matching Oliver and Margot set that Sarai made in the blue? I’m a beginner sewist, but I’d love to try and replicate that look. Thank you!
Game changer for me! I love seeing combinations and patterns listed. I’m an old Seamwork follower but I’m a new subscriber and to have all the patterns ready to download is exciting. I listen to your podcasts over and over and learn something new all the time. 💕💕
I like this it make me think about paring garments and thinking about what to wear as a out instead of of just sewing one piece I can see it better this way, although I know it will take me a moment to pieces outfits together as I am slow because this will be my fi time.
I love this video so much! The last Astoria (one of my favorite patterns!!) didn’t have the “waist band” sewn on, on the bottom. Did you just lengthen the bodice pieces and hem as normal?
Love this and great for inspiration with outfit combinations, wondering is the white peasant style blouse your wearing available as a pattern ? Thanks 🙏🏻
