I feel like she just buys things that are trendy and disregards if she really likes it or not. Half of the stuff from her previous videos that she purchased because it looked "trendy" or she "saw it on tiktok" looked so bad on her. But the things that she truly likes and weren't trendy or on tiktok looks phenomenal on her. Best advice: do you and be the best unique you because there is one you. MUCH LOVEEEE🥰🥰
@@samaralyn9646 this has become such an important thing to remind myself of recently because of money issues which means I’ve had to become more cautious of what I buy. I don’t follow trends purely because of the trend anymore and always think about every purchase that I make. I’d rather buy something not trendy that I know I like and will get plenty of wear out of than to fall for something purely because it’s trendy and then only wear it a couple times.
I used to be the same, but I’ve recently had to become more cautious with spending money due to money issues which has actually turned out to be a bit of a blessing. I’ve had to put more thought into everything I buy myself which means I’ve skipped on so many trends because I’ve known I’d not end up wearing them. I only buy things I know for sure I will love and focus more on practicality and comfort rather that purely focusing on wether or not something is trendy. I will hop on trends occasionally, but only the ones I truly love. Because of this I feel like I’m finally in a place where I can confidently say I’ve found my own personal style that is unique to me and that’s something I’m proud of. In the past I often felt like I was cosplaying someone else when I’d wear things that were overly trendy because they weren’t actually my style.
Girl, my rule of thumb is no article of clothing or accessories should be worth more than my phone. Any cloth cost more than 1k is super unnecessary and I will always get paranoid of ruining 1k Edits: some ppl said they rather spend $1k+ on clothing, I get it, you're rich and that's okay. It's my rule of buying clothes. My point is ppl take your phone or other technology for granted. It's a computer the size of your hand. It's more powerful than the computer that sent men to the moon. $1k for that technology, it's worth it. But clothing doesn't offer the same value, okay? I understand spending $600 on a well-made, hand-sewn dress for special occasions, or buying expensive bags and keep it lock for future investment. But girl, some of you just have too much to put on something so frail as clothing. My value and yours is not the same.
girl you need to stay true to your personal style and honor it. don't buy things you don't see yourself wearing just because it might be hot at the moment or have a designer label attached to it. We should all make a conscious effort to be more mindful consumers!
Girl! Ware that LV bag! believe me it can survive eveything! I used to do the same to mine untill I accidentally spelled something on it and I nearly lost my mind that day but I wiped it and let it dry for a day and the next day it was brand new again, I still have this bag and ware it 10 years later and it looks great
I bought the same dress in black, it looks so good but it fits weird around the back and the neckline is so low you're guaranteed a nip slip, plus it is so hard to put on, and the very first time I put it on (outside the store of course) the strap broke. I hadn't even worn it anywhere yet. It was like $80 (Canadian) and I donated it a few weeks ago.
Trends in and of themselves are not bad or should be avoided but not EVERY trend should take your hard earned money. Some trends you just have to admire from a far, use purely as inspiration OR be smart AND realistically economical about it (this takes time and a little extra soul searching). If you don’t care about clothes, style or fashion than this advice is not for you, but those of us that do care, it’s worth looking at trends this way instead of thinking they’re all a waste or all worth it. Just be intentional, strategic and creative and you won’t have any regrets, if you do, it won’t be such a pain because you were economically realistic to begin with.
Those Birkenstock are pretty neutral you can wear them with anything it’s not like they’re neon or anything. I live in my OG Arizona ones, I have a wool/Sherpa lined pair that I wear as slippers. Wear them more often your feet will thank you!
Most trends that come out are something I would not like and some I do like . I rather spend my coin on things that I would actually wear or recreate the outfit from shopping malls , amazon or thrift stores
I like the pink dress but it gives me a sleeping gown vibe. If it was in a cream color it would look like the one Julia Robert wore in the movie Pretty Woman when she first kissed Richard Gere.
of all of that I think the Birkenstocks could be more versatile even with the color, but I get where she is coming from. I would use them as a neutral..could go with quite a bit!

spray with Apple guard and you can relax. I watch a man who had a LV weekend bag firstly he sets in in a window and turns it several times a day for a few days, this is not a joke...and he washed it with Huggies no scent baby wipes and he washes all the leather really well . He said he has done that every time he uses it. I did all the steps he said p[lus I sprayed it with Apple guard and honestly so far I am very happy a year later.
O I bought a cool pink slip dress too and I hate it! Why didn't I buy the brown one?! It looks bad on my yellow tone and most of my clothes are neutral.
Use your LV. You really can’t hurt it. If something happens to it that’s okay. Things are things. Things are not important no matter what you paid for them. Also the Birkenstocks are so pale they are a neutral. Wear them. They will look far more fashionable than black or brown.
LVs are made of plastic, don't worry about wrecking it 😉 Also, what's the point of the Jacquemus hat when you can get an unbranded for like $10? What I want to know is, where are those pants from?
I don't buy designer items unless they're used. I only buy designer items I love -I don't buy merely because something is designer itself unless I think I can sell it for more than what I paid for it. I'm not fooling anyone with my designer pieces when I walk to my dusty 15 year old sedan, so I avoid other people's cognitive dissonance by avoiding labels altogether.
Why don't you just buy what looks good on you! Nothing wrong with trends but the obsession over them for all of 3 seconds has to stop.. the constant trend hoping is a waste of time and resources!!!!
