I just got a 2022 model 3 long range yesterday because of your original video with this vehicle! I am so glad I did and am excited to follow you along the way! 🙏
In addition to keyless entry - having them linked to a profile is great - get into the car in easy entry mode and the seat is set back and the steering wheel adjusted out of the way - touch the brake and everything is adjusted automatically to your preferences! Share the car? Add a profile and a keycard or mobile and never have to squeeze behind the wheel again! Also for newer cars the Bluetooth can sense when you and yr phone are behind it and open the boot - no waggy legs! Lastly the phone can be in range of the car but not in use - say on the bedside overnight and the car knows this and automatically disconnects - helping to reduce the chance of theft. Then there’s pin to drive….. at this point my partner has either hit me or fallen asleep! Glad you’re enjoying the car - they’re not perfect but brilliant at the same time! Subscribed
No need to hand your phone over or the key card that smartarse in the meeting thought of that as well. There is a function in the app called security and drivers. Select the manage drivers option. This allows you to share access i.e. the mobile phone key to their account. Have your wife download the tesla app create an account. Then share the virtual key with her. you can share with 5 others I think. She then has her own key for the car.
Always take your card with you! I twice got stranded away from home and had to get a taxi home to collect the card. For some reason the car does occasionally just decide it doesn't recognise your phone. Oh and you don't get Google maps, you get tesla nav (which is by valhalla software) and premium connectivity gets you a Google satellite overlay on top of the open source mapping.
As a frugal person who hasn't got rid of his CD collection, I've put them on a 2TB SSD in FLAC format with album art. Partitioned correctly, you have the TeslaCam for security recordings and the other for music. I've tested album art of 3000*3000 and it gets scaled to fit what Tesla displays. Oh, and I save 120€ a year. 😊
@@johnnyquid-xj4kk A rough measure for SSD size: 0.8TB is about 20k songs and about 60 days of music. (24 hours) That's anywhere between 85000 and 140000km of driving distance. 🤣😎👍
Dont wave your hands so much, thats a sign of a politician 😂. It is a cool car for sure, but im finding i like older cars more thesedays, they've got a nostalgic charm and smell. Good video pal
Great vid again, CB. I was saying very early on in ownership (MY) that it was 90% incredible and 10% awful, and I still feel pretty much the same. Looking forward to your next video update...
Thanks again Hoppo! I think that's a really great way to look at the good Vs bad. Is definitely more incredible vs awful but thankfully stacked on the incredible.
Just rewatched my video and realised my sodding old branded intro graphic somehow made it into the video by mistake. That's annoying my OCD massively. I won't bother delete and repost but hopefully you look past it! 🤣
I’m considering a BMW i4 just because there so many Tesla’s on the road here in California. And love the hatchback option. Cost is higher but is it worth it?
@@car_babble BMW now has the digital plus key now with smartphone open and start car. Maybe I'll just test drive both too see. Thanks for your feedback.
