@@davidgator6026 exactly he killed every beat and had flow and didn’t complain like soul, it’s the point of the challenge to try see what you can do on those beats, ab soul barely could rap and choked so many more times lol
@@floramiller1133 bro chill, why would i wanna rap on rock n roll beats imma hip hop rapper, schoolboyqs lyrics were prewritten thats how come he flowed smoothly, souls verses cant go with any rythym it gotta be a boombap feel like atleast the first one you could time the snare
3:55 - Ab-Soul says the infamous phrase "gimme some hip-hop!" which sway been using for every 5 Fingers intro 😂 I swear I never new that was Soul until this vid! I coulda swore it was from a movie or something lol
Although I appreciate the original purpose of these weird-ass beats on Sway's 5 Finger challenges, I like that he's moved to better beats to flow over recently. It's honestly more fun to hear great rappers spit hot bars than it is to watch them slightly struggle over questionable beats. That's not to say these guys failed or anything. This is more a general statement.
***** Yeah he's definitely smoothed it out. In the beginning, the beats were designed to trip up the artists.. but I'd rather hear bars, honestly. I'm glad you're with me on that, lol.
Yeah, it makes me cringe sometimes when the dj puts on some of those god awful beats that just aren't possible to rap on.. its still the same concept with better beats because i think the whole point is to have the artists switch up their flows.
XxCodInator false. This video was from early 2012. He started wearing them mid 2012. A few months leading up to K Dot's GKMC. Matter fact you can look up tour dates online from when Black hippy did the BET music matters tour, that will back up my comment.
Aye that was straight tough I like both Q was killling soul with the flow at first then ab Ab soul came back in the end straight on point with his bars man I’ll be damned if both of these dudes don’t go down as the goats 🐐 of rap they so underrated
First beat: P.E 2000 - Puff Daddy Second beat: Ice Cream Jelly Roll - Skream & Banga Third beat: Original Don ft The Partysquad - Major Lazer Fourth beat: Man in the Box - Alice in Chains The fifth is as of yet unknown to me
I know I’m 10 years late to this video. I was still am TDE and I understand why Sway’s DJ came with the funkiness. AB and Q got bars and can actually freestyle. I never seen Sway hit anyone else with the funky rock joints like he did them.
Can we acknowledge there first "Freestyles" were from songs they've did. they're amazing rappers great artists it just fucks with the integrity of the rest of there freestyles
Hunter Duncan that is literally the exact opposite of what five fingers of death is about. It is about having artists show their skills and ability to switch flows on good beats not garbage shit.
People get way to but hurt about wheather its a written verse or not who gives a fuck, writing is a talent in itself just like going off the top. quit whining.
