What a difference between these earlier episodes and what you're producing today. No talking in this one was the first thing I noticed but you have learned a lot since these days. Thanks for keeping up and sharing with us some really great times and a lot of hard work.
Hey Mike, I've been a subscriber for a year or two and enjoy the content of your channel. Just for the hell of it I took some time to look at a few of your first few videos. You were as "top shelf' then as you are now! Keep 'em coming!! You provide some outstanding entertainment.
I've been watching a while now. Prob 3 years back when you talked about the kubota. Went back to your early ones and noticed you never had anything to say. Ha... had to watch this first wood cutting video... where it all began.
I found this one after viewing today's offering where you talked about where it all began. As others below have said, there have been a lot of changes (equipment & your approach to the filming). Most learn from their experiences as you have. As I said earlier today I've only been watching for about 6 months, but really like your, and Melissa's, approach to life. Gotta believe it's rubbing off on the kids too as I listen to you talk about their experiences. Blessings to you and the family. Hi to Hunter.
Hello Mike, I have watched every vid you have made in the last 4 months or so, this morning I found this one, seems like things have really changed in your world , your dog was a little puppy, and the tractor was orange, the trail was a little more congested, the splitter was a different color too, all changes I have seen are good, nice to see how it all began and the progresses you have made.
LOVE THE OLD SHOWS ,JUST WANDER JUST HOW MANY CORES YOU HAVE CUT OFF YOUR LAND BY NOW IAM SEEING THIS IN 4/9/2020 THANK YOU FROM KEEPING FROM GOING NUTS IN THIS 2020 LOCKDOWN THANK YOU FOR ALL THE YEARS WATCHING YA'LL BUTCH TEAGUE SPRINGHILL,,,LA THANK YOU AN UR FOR YALL TIME
Hey Morgans, glad I found your channel. Just binged watched several vids of firewood processing.. Great content. I hope I'm wrong here but what's crazy is over 9K people viewed your video that I last watched but only 495 subs. Well, I can relate.. opposite side of the US.. Washington to be exact. Different species of trees, but same addictions. haha. Log splitter, Polaris 4x4, couple 036's, only 2.5 acres but less than 10 min from state land where permits are available.. Great piece of mind and self accomplishment working up firewood.. keep up the good vids.. Oh, and 47 is not far from 50.. Old men like us need to keep the heart rate up!!
Just got started a few months ago and have lots to learn. The subscribers are starting to come now. Been getting about 100 a week now. I'm it for the long haul!
I back😊. New thing for me….most days I don’t see a “new” video I look back, and Utube is now into my trick.. So again ….drop a 👍 and a comment….have a day Morgans.. Ya’ll are #1 with me.
How is that geothermal working? do you think it will keep up with below zero temps we sometimes get in USA? Do you have to supplement heat with a gas furnace? Thanks for responding back
Good job Mike. Did you delete the couple un-numbered videos and 1 - 73 videos in your video list? Tried to look back on some in the beginning and couldn’t find them? Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
Get rid of the fool UTV, buy a skidding winch for the tractor and a set of forks instead of the bucket. While you're skidding out 2-3 logs on the back, you can be carrying four-six 6-8' lengths on the forks, increasing your initial skid by 4 times the amount. If you don't want to skid all the way to where you are splitting (messing up the drive), at least carry the fork load there, and cut while on the forks..eliminate picking up rounds stretched down the log, loading in little UTV bed, then unloading yet again where you split.....my God at the work you are creating when there is plenty of naturally occurring work to be done.
Community News Get rid of the UTV? thats just crazy talk right there lol. I use that Ranger almost daily. I only cut maybe 12 cords a year mostly from standing dead, blow downs, and some select cutting / thinning. If I was clearing everything I maybe then would get logging winch but probably get a grapple first.
How I wish to God that CensorTube had not of stopped the feature where you could add hundreds of pictures and create albums!! I have so many pictures of logging firewood farming Trapping Family going to Church. All taken here in Montana!!! Although I did get an email last week from CensorTube customer service letting me know that for CensorTube Red monthly paid subscribers, they are looking to bring the feature back!!! I will go back to being a non paying CensorTube subscriber.
I had to go back to see the start of your journey! All without missing today's riveting video. How did you like your Kubota? I've got an L6060 which I like but, wish it was heavier. I've got turf tires, which seem to go in the snow well but still destroy the grass. Did you ever split out in the woods? We do that now, into a 5x9x4 utility trailer (Built in the 1940's) and then head for the stacking area. It seems like you now move the rounds twice; once to get them into the bucket, and once onto the splitter? Your back is stronger than mine. I love the log lifter! Amazing the changes that have transpired since the beginning. Thank you for sharing
