when our kids were younger we use to go camping for a week, they all loved it, we had a popcorn popper that was meant to use over an open fire, it was boxed shape with a screen top that dropped down, it was just as much fun taking turns using it and watching the corn pop as it was to eat it. thank you for putting this up, I hope others will find this as another way to experience the joy of camping. :)
As kids, we had long-handled, Coleman-type campfire popcorn poppers with sliding mesh lids. They were lots of fun to safely shake over the flames. No one liked Jiffy Pop.
I keep looking for a decent camp fire popcorn maker. So far the Rome popcorn maker has been the best. Your next to last option. But a fire pit glove is required to keep the popcorn goods from burning. I am looking at DIY hacks to fix that and extend the reach.
