Over the past summer we had a big heat wave over uk and it could be a problem for your growing space. This is why I came up with a few easy steps that you can take to prevent any damage.
Make sure to prevent rather than curing as a burned plant will have permanent damage and take time to recover!
Stay hydrated!

If you have an open container of water out please put a decent size stick/branch in it. That way if a lizard or toad, etc. falls in, it will have a way to crawl out. Same with empty vessels. Some little critters can get stuck inside and die if you don't find them in time. Everyone take care!

Thank you so much for this tip. I use to use a garbage can to catch rain water for hot weather watering. One day, I found a dead bat in the water. it has haunted me ever since, I held the bat, he was like a fox with leather wings. I only catch rainwater in small containers now.

With greenhouses you should have a few ponds in them for the humidity during summer and during winter put aquarium heaters in the ponds to keep warmth in the air! Obviously you need a larger greenhouse for this though.

Your videos give me HOPE!. I live in a small modern Apartment; but have dreams of turning the matchbox sized garden into a rustic organic postage stamp plot of my own (vertical gardening is the go). Self-sufficiency has always been a dream of mine...growing my own food! fruit, vegetables, spices & herbs; having a couple of chickens running around etc. As I sit on my balcony stool devouring another piece of KFC followed by a pkt of Maltesers and Starbucks coffee...I am allowed to DREAM lol.

It's all great, but have you thought of a dripper irrigation system? You can connect a tank with your grey water (shower and kitchen) and when the tank is full you can open its main valve to distribute this gray water to your plants through the drippers network. .

I love your garden. Reminds me of how we raised plants in my growing up time..We had really fertile soil but Every autumn my uncle would spread chicken manure on the gardens from the chicken coops. By spring it was broken down enough to raise healthy crops. I live in an area now that has clay soil. It is stubborn but I have raised healthy productive gardens but I've had to add many things to break it down. I've used newspapers and peat moss. Kept the weeds out and the moisture in. The straw is a good idea. It's better to water by hand if you can because some plants will get mold on their leaves when watered with sprinklers like zucchini and the roots won't get the moisture they need Especially if you have dry soil like I have. I'm considering raised beds.
