Movie is over 30 years old i have seen it at least 20 times and I still get the same intense chills and tears in my eyes when eddie cane sings in this scene. So powerful! Eddie Cane moved me! And dont count his wife out either. Ol girl clearly got pipes.

Yes she didn't have to stay with addict...I can only imagine her suffering. I know a woman who stayed with her husband a drug addict...30 years she had two heart attacks. He disrespects her and has alot of children outside the marriage.
My brother I can honestly say I seen the same situation with my mom and my pops my pops did everything under the sun but she stayed with him until he left the earth in 2015🥺but I had to learn to try and understand how they lived their life 👍🏾👍🏾

I agree! his part in this movie was vital and he was my favorite character but I still give props to all of them which made the movie what it was. Each played their part to the T.. even though it was obvious lip syncing with Robert Townsend. lol
