My son and husband use OBS, so I thought I would try it out, too. It's pretty easy to use, but for whatever reason, my computer won't run it anymore. I caught one of your earlier videos about PRISM Studio Live and decided to give it a shot. I have to say, for me, I think it's easier (please keep in mind, I am not the technology buff my two guys are - but I'm learning). Thank you so much for another great video, Michael. 😁

As always great content. I like the granularity I have with OBS but I sometimes wonder if I am missing out with other streaming software. I have been thinking about giving X-split a try as I just got an Arc A380 to use as a dedicated AV1 encoder.

Features: Ability to remove the banner for streaming. I'll never use it> I'm "TheWebinarGuy" and need this software for webinars, not streaming. That said... Ability to send desktop audio to zoom/other webinar type software. I cannot get this to work? --In that, to know how NDI is supposed to work.

Not sure if it already has it, but a voice changing tool would be amaaaaaaazing on Prism. Just sayin. Vtubers could definitely make use of something like VoiceMod built-in to prism. Theyre so good about having things built-in

i love this idea with prism mobile hopefully it works for me i have an awesome idea that will make stream desks almost obsolete ever want to have a soundboard? bam this capturing it should do that wish me luck lol im using it on a tablet :)

I find Prism is aimed more at streaming than video making. I have F12 as my start/stop recording key. If I am just recording short snippets while playing a game full screen for example, I press F12 to start recording, then F12 to stop. I cannot do this repeatedly, as when I stop recording, a dialog box pops up telling me I have stopped recording and where it has saved to. Information I already know. I have to Alt-Tab to Prism to close the dialog. In OBS, I can repeatedly start/stop recording without having to stop to clear a dialog. If there is a way to disable the dialog, I haven't figured it out yet. Great program , but an annoying quirk. EDIT: In OBS, this confirmation is OFF by default, but you can enable it.

You can connect the prism live studio mobile app to your computer to remote control it from there. I tried it and it works like a stream deck would. Just gotta make sure you don’t make changes on the computer because then you’ll need to restart prism and the computer to use it again

Unfortunately we don't have that feature yet. And our app doesn't support Twitch's individual features very well. So next year, we are planning to review improvements in that area.

QUESTION Is it much more processing for the computer and would it be more of a data hog on the network to multi-stream directly from my computer, through Prism Live? I assume using Restream would alleviate this, right? I'm on a 4G network that's probably not even worth livestreaming from :/ but I was going to try it anyway.

It is more processing on the computer for sure. Multi streaming from any software requires more bandwidth but as you said Restream is an alternative.

The internal operation of the multi-stream feature of PRISM apps is no different from Restream. PRISM app has Gateway servers to replicate streams to support multi-stream and utilizes them. These apply equally to PRISM Windows apps and mobile apps.

great videos love the app. I use it for twitch and RU-vid theta and kick was trying to find a way to add TikTok don't know if there's a add on for it yet. keep them vid coming learning a lot for a old dog here

How do you delete an audio input from the mixer. The 2 default inputs are just always there, feel like am going crazy. It should just be a delete option LOL so weird

@@prismlivestudio So an option to turn on the replay buffer without going live. For example I can only use the replay buffer while live. I can’t take clips while my stream is “offline”

Does prism have a feature built in that automatically detects what song is playing (ex: song name - artist), no matter what language the song may be in? More importantly, will it upon detecting & showing on screen the song & artist, provide a link to chat if requested by someone in chat using a command such as !nowplaying , to the source of said song (whether it's playing on Spotify or RU-vid) ? That would be such an amazing feature!

Do they allow USB video hook up? Again? They took it away. For mobile phone to Camcorder. Can I do the hookup threw a pc? With Hdmi?

Unfortunately, the PRISM mobile app no longer supports USB (UVC) camera connectivity. However, we plan to release a function that will replace it in the first quarter of next year. It supports connection between PRISM mobile apps using RTMP protocol. It can also be connected to cameras that support RTMP streaming. Please wait a little longer.
