⚘Re: #2. The exterior "texture" is very old type of varnish that has been effected by heat. It congels to create that outcome. You are correct, sanding won't touch it......but a paint remover/stripper can. Takes many layers of stripper & patience which you have. Than you can sand. Thank you so much for sharing your incredibly awesome talents. Enjoy seeing your hubby, dog & cat in the videos. 😘
I absolutely love all your amazing work. I’ve inspired me to start crocheting and I’m now making throw blankets for my family as Christmas gifts. I have a question about the blanket on this video. What are the final measurements for the 40” and 60”?
The frame project left me inspired! The Duck Egg blue paint with gold gilding on the frame, the fabric...just gorgeous **sigh**. Love, love, love it. 💕
Project #3 looks like a silky velvet rug, especially the first to colors give it a velvet touch and the complete project appear like a luxury rug, love it❤️
Hello from Wales 🏴 I am enjoying all your tutorials. They are so inspiring. I have all my paints ready this weekend so my granddaughter can create a unique canvas for her room. Thank you ☺️
Christina, these projects are beautiful! The stencils are stunning and you make the processes look so achievable! Take care and thankyou for sharing your skills! Laura xx
Christina Hì! I've been watching all your videos and you really make my pastime worthwhile!❤ I adoooore the painting frame and how you transformed it! By the way your husband and you make such a matching couple! Both lovable and always smiling! You give out such warm vibes! Cheerio from Hristiana, Greece!
These projects are what I have been waiting for...confirmation and direction for my next projects...thank you for sharing your beautiful work and techniques!
Beautiful projects! I loved how you transformed the frame!! And I especially loved the crochet blanket! Thanks for inspiring all of us and for your tips and tutorials!💖🙏🏼
You’re so inspiring to us and explain your processes very clearly! Thank you. I also adore the scenes with your precious sentient cat and dog. They are a joy to see too!
Busy Day! I got a chance to watch your fantastic tutorials with a late dinner! Enjoyed everything! My favorites? The wall art. Stay Encouraged Christina! 🤗
My life, artistically, too! literally changes each time I discover a new medium - because I'm a professional but fully self-taught artist, I learn "on the job" - first, it was gel medium, then oils & Liquin, then E6000, then it was Annie Sloane chalk paint. I make DIY chalk paint, too, but ASCP really rocks and the only bummer is the price 😳
I just found you and am so inspired! Especially the crochet items! You break the steps down so well and with your vocal direction along with your ‘finger signaling,’ I’m able to follow well. You are a master teacher! Thank you so much!❤️
Love all of these DIY's this week. You created some fantastic looks. Thanks Christina for a great video !!! I just love Rafael and Kitty !! Looks like they want to be around you all the time.
Im inlove with the frame!! Gosh I wish I could crochet like that! (I'm a lefty so it looks just bass-akwards) Grandma taught me how to do a basic chain before she passed away. I would love to be able to make a blanket. Thank you for the tutorial Christina ♡
You look good with your hair up or down. I can't wait to see a walk through of your home when you are done diying with all of these great pieces you are creating. Loving this content. Haha you could have a mansion but the only place our furbabies want to be is under our feet.
Just lovely as always Christina, .. I wanted to tell you, I have been using this wall technique on the backs of vintage china hutches from this guy Декоративная штукатурка - ВИНТАЖная с трафаретами из салфеток и тюля / своими руками за копейки - RU-vid and OH my gosh when you turn that light on inside the hutch it is soooo gorgeous with vintage colored glass and antique china the high lights and low lights just glow under that light.. I just turn the subtitles to English on his channel. The most popular and best sells for me have been the textured ones with old lace table clothes and curtains he does on his channel, with subtly highlighting in gold or silver on the details.
Christina, great informative tutorials and advice on colours for your beautiful frame, artist canvas board, stencil and the chest. Your hair is great both ways and love your pets. Pretty set dressings and music is relaxing, great choices. 🇬🇧👏🏻
First. I LOVE your hair down. It’s gorgeous. Of course I love everything you did this week and I must find the courage to make my very 1st throw YIKES 😳. Great video as usual. 👍☕️🏡👏🏼🤗😘🤩👀♥️🥰♥️
Oh so beautiful!! Just love how you explain in Detail of how to do a project amazing thank you!! Would love to have one of your items you have done also signed by you. Love it! beautiful!!! beautiful!!!! work!
Love you work. Winding where u are in the world? U photos of the lake and river are beautiful. I’m starting to paint furniture as a retirement job. I’m following you for some ideas. Thanks Liza. From Idaho USA
Oh I'm just ten min into this video and it is so good, Christina! Thank you. Lucky me to get a real life lesson from you in a few hours!! And your hair does look fab.
My favorite the first frame, I love it to the point of making one for my house 💕. I have exactly the same frame/mirror in my living room, what do you use to seal the paint on fabric? I wish you upload videos more often, love your creativity 💝🙌🏻🙌🏻💯
This was the first time viewing your channel. It’s amazing what paint can do to any piece. The high and low lights create a special and very unique texture. Thanks for the reminder to use a light hand on the brush. That’s often my downfall.
Wow! Bravissima ! Quante belle idee, non capisco la tua lingua😊ma spero tanto di riuscire a riprodurre in casa mia qualcosa di simile , sono entusiasta , davvero tanti complimenti!💫
Oh my! All lovely. Also, based on your videos and inspiration, I have attempted to do the finger crochet. I'm a first timer at crochet but I have found myself kinda stumped. I don't know how to make my row size consistent and not sure how to start new rows. I have 4 rows done but put it down. I have pulled out my stitches several times because it was just looking off. And for my 4 rows it seemed like that took me an hour. I bought the CoverStory cake. Help!!@
Hi QueenB! So happy to hear you are enjoying the channel!! The crochet takes a bit of practice! But sounds like you are getting there! One thing that I had problems is forgetting to add that extra stitch ( two loops for double crochet and single loops for single crochet) at the end to make the rows even. I am thinking that may be what’s happening to you. Also making the loop size consistent with your finger. I hope this helps!! 🙏🎨❤️
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom I was trying to simulate the waffle pattern you did but I chose to try it with a 6 yarn. I feel my pattern isn't tight enough but when I pulled it to try tigher, I found it to difficult to distinguish my "humps". Soooo I pulled it again, it was much easier to have bigger loops so I'm guessing I have to just have to accept it's going to be a very loose crochet. 😂
Such beautiful projects as always. I want to make your blanket for Christmas presents. I’ve looked in your Amazon store and Googled trying to find the yarn you used in the United States. Do you have any ideas where I might find it. You’ve inspired me and I’m set to create your wonderful DIY. Please help. Many thanks!
I really wish that you would show the full blanket and pattern before you get started. Those of us who are visual learners and not as familiar with crochet have no way to associate what you're doing with what we end up with. Unless we go to the end and then go back!
Hi Christina, my favourite was the framed art as I have a frame and some material I like. Thank you for this idea. Regarding your Amazon store, it’s the US site. Do you not have a Canadian site as well? Kim, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Ps. I also loved the blanket
